Very clean and well maintained park. Lots of great trails.Roads could use a little attention, but bad spots are marked for repair
Nice small trail that is accessible from multiple roads that surround Mt. Airy Forest. Many folks were wearing masks or social distancing. I enjoyed my little walk here! Ive been told that it is a nice place to take your pets (dog) for a walk! Seems quite nice for a pup to run around unleashed (if allowed).
Its a great place to take the kids for a day out of the house or go for a nature hike and explore the wildlife and foraging opportunities. There are wild persimmon and several mushroom species to find. Great place to just be outside!
Ive always loved Mt. Airy Forest. Its one of the citys many wonderful green spaces. I particularly enjoy the arboretum. Its quiet with two pathways that are perfect for short walks. There a nice floral areas that butterflies love. When the wind blows, you can hear a windchime tinkling.I shouldnt tell you these things because Ive always seen the arboretum as a quiet place that most people dont know about. Now you know
Nice little park. Met a couple nice people and some cute dogs. Our gal had fun!
Great frisbee golf course and plenty of picnic space for family outings
Love this park always enjoy taking my kids to play great place to hike ride bike on the many trails have picnics grill out have partys and the fall colors are in full bloom right now
This park is hugeeee ! Plenty of great walking trails and play areas. Its everything you could ever want in nature
I love Mount Airy Forest I had my reception there I got married back in 2005 it is a beautiful place to go and have your reception there
The mountain biking trails are awesome! A lot of hard work has gone in to making these trails for all to use. I really appreciate the folks who are out there working. I will def be back soon!
Beautiful woods and lots of trails to choose from. Some can be a little rough lol. Nice place to have a picnic.
Awesome disc golf course and the best pro shop around.
Great DG course. One of the best in the state!
This is a huge place close to Interstate 74. Nice place to spend time with family and friends.
The park is situated in a very beautiful hillside just northwest of downtown. The hiking trails are nice but poorly maintained. They offer options for varied length and difficulty. I was told there are MTB trails, but I didnt discover them on my first visit. The hilltop amenities are in relatively good condition (multiple gazebos and play areas).
I love the trails. The scenery is beautiful and you cant go wrong with any of the trails.
There is garbage everywhere and hardly any garbage cans. Who is responsible for cleaning this park up?? Its disgusting.
This is one of the best places to come to walk, jog, run, or just to get out and breathe fresh air and appreciate nature. There are amazing hiking trails and is so peaceful at 6am.
Great park. Its has great trails. I personally loved it. Plenty of parking at least for Saturday afternoon. Well maintained and lots of sitting benches and grilling spots.
What a nice park! Walked about half the trails and really enjoyed ourselves. Even though the park was busy the trails are spread out enough that it was peaceful and made for good hiking.
Amazing and beautiful, cant wait to see in the winter & spring.
Trails are not clearly marked. I could not believe the amount of broken glass scattered throughout all phases of the trails.
Tough disc course. Very well maintained
Still a great park, but the trash is getting out of control. Sad to see public spaces so disrespected.
Mt. Airy Forest is part of the Cincinnati Park District. Its a nice park with a few drawbacks, its not as clean as the Hamilton County Parks. In there parking areas there are not a lot of garbage containers. Not a lot of shady parking areas either. And also there restrooms are closed thru the end of 2020. Probably due to theCovid 19 pandemic.
Great dog park. My GSD loves the plastic pools, playing in the water and the wide open space to run.
The ponderosa trail is an Xtra special hiking/walking trail, as it is named after one of, if not the greatest, buffet restaurants of all time (also in the American buffet style restaurants hall of fame), located amongst the fine and luscious landscape that the Mt. Airy forest park has readily available for the general public to enjoy amongst their off days, family days, just amazing days with his/her spouse, and even holidays (to include federal and non-federal holidays, such as but not limited to veterans day! I would highly recommend this trail to anybody who wants an ecstatic, exciting, and emerging adventure!P.S. - Be sure to bring your Walkmans and beepers along with you, as you will need them if you are looking to make every four legged creature, being willingly excercised, talk and bark e.g. high pitch/low pitch (depending on the size and breed of ).
Got married here 17 yrs ago nice facility.
Great open space, always well maintained. I go for the disc golf.
Beautiful park, plenty of walking trails and park equipment. The dirt trails gets muddy when it rains so boots are a good idea. Very natural looking trails
The trails are beautiful and easy to walk for the most part. I would suggest that you get a free map If youre new to the forest.
Today was our first time at this park this place was fabulous and to this experience we went to the tree house and also to a picnic spot this place was good
Lots of trails but you have to be careful. People throw trash around and there are needles mixed in.
Beautiful urban forest in Cincinnati. Be sure to check out the frisbee golf course and everybodys tree house!
Lots of picnic areas... Needs more parking near picnic areas
The sweet and sour egg drop soup I ate in this tick infested we wonderland was so so. The hike was amazing!
Been coming here since I was a kid at summer camps, now I run the Disc Golf Pro Shop, volunteer when I can, love this park
So much wild space so close to the city! Trails for days among old growth trees and seasonal streams for exploring.
Love the disc golf course here
This is a cozy and beautiful park
Disc golf at the park is still posted as closed. I am hoping that changes soon as sunshine and vitamin D are important for the immune system.
I was not at mt.airy forest. I was at a house across from mt.airy forest.
Its really always beautiful here, no matter what season it is.
The picnic areas are usually clean and otherwise well maintained as well. I LOVE the disc golf course mainly though. Besides a great course, having a well run pro shop on site is AWESOME!!
Beautiful sprawling forest with so many places to go. Frisbee golf course is not for novices.
One of the peaceful park in Cincy. I should come back during autumn leaves to see how park will be changed.
Great trails and variety of plants, mushrooms and trees. A great place to connect with nature and be grateful for all it gives us.
Disc golf course is tough and challenging. Had a great time with my son.
Love this park . The kids and I have a blast here every time we go
Well worth the trip to the west side!
Beautiful place and nice open trails
This was my first time coming to this location. The view was beautiful, and the people danced as though no one was watching. It reminded me of Woodstock, without the smell of marijuana.Everyone was on one accord, the beat of the drums echoed throughout. As the depth and width of the forest allowed the acoustic sound to radiate the atmosphere . I saw glow in the dark hoola-hoops, batons, glow sticks, anything seemed arodicently colored, jam stones reading, sparkles, (used safely with adult supervision). Moreover; the energy exhubariated the sound of excitement. As everyone was on one accord together.
So many great things to do: hiking, disc golf, playgrounds, cookouts, and more. Makes it easy to get away from the world.
The park is beautiful and has great facilities and trails, but you really have to be careful where you go in the park. We stopped to take a trail and noticed a lot of window glass in the parking area. As we were getting ready to take the trail we saw another car in another parking area a little bit up the road. The people in it seemed to be watching us. We went ahead and started the trail, but I just had a bad feeling. After going a few hundred yards I decided to go back to the car. As we came out of the woods the car we had seen up the road was pulled up behind ours. One of the people ( a woman) was walking around our car looking in the windows. When she saw us she dropped a rock she had in her hand, jumped in the car and the driver sped away. So stay near your car or park some place with a lot of people around, or risk being broken in to.
I can’t believe we’re lucky enough to have this park in Cincinnati! Many beautiful secluded meadows to take your dog!
Lovely..a breath taking walk with the 2 year old
I wasnt there. Obviously, your GPS sensor is way off.
Excellent park to go to for a walk or a hike if you enjoy nature or bird watching.
Got married here & had many kiddos birthday parties here. I love this park! Hubs plays frisbee golf, weve gone sledding. So many fun memories!
Peaceful and beautiful Fall coolors.
Very nice disc golf course
Ran the Stone Steps 27k here, and this area has a natural beauty to it. The trails are nice and surprisingly long for a park in Cincinnati, running these trails is hard though. I would consider this an advanced trail run. There is stones, roots and other obstacles that litter the paths (especially towards the Stone Steps). The Stone Steps themselves are yall and hard to walk, let alone run up.I strongly recommend this place, come see if its for you.
Best place. Safe and clean.
My Airy dog park is great but there are a few issues with people who drive all the way up and bring Ill mannered dogs.
Personally, I love the trails through the park. They are technical and give you some great elevation. Who doesnt love running the stone steps?
The trails are amazing, we went on a day after some rain so some parts were slick but it was great. I look forward to going again soon.
Well be going back. Loved the trails and the arboretum.
Perfect for hikes but you cant bike well
Very nice and challenging disc golf course. Play with someone who knows the holes or be prepared for a very long round
Nice place to walk and spend evenings!
I didnt get nearly enough time to explore this place. Massive with many beautiful views and trails.
Our visit to the My. Airy/Doris Day dog park was much better than the last time. The grass had been mowed in the small dog area and not just the large dog area. You can tell that its maintained because even the bathrooms were clean as usual. Theres are shady areas on both sides for the humans. We love this park and always make a point of visiting when were in the area.
Great park
Always injoy the park
We love it here our dogs always have a great time! Owners are aware and keep an eye on their dogs. Lots of room and there are pools to help cool off on a hot day.
Great place to see fall colors
I love it because its nature... beautiful, enchanting (even when muddy), lusciously green and a mesmerizing place one could get lost in for hours, tucked in the city. Frisbee Disc Golf, Hiking, Bicycling, Walking, Bird Watching, you name it, its good for it. Ive mostly hiked many of the trails but plan on playing the Disc Golf course here in a few days. Come and have some fun!
Piece Of Mind.. Peaceful.. Scenery.. The House Is My Favorite Thing About Mt. Airy Park...
One of the best disc golf courses In the world. Great pro shop!
Great park to run,jog or take a hike on one of many trails that go through the woods. Great park for nature lovers.
Come up here to barbecue. All the time nice scenery
The dog park had more than 50 dogs in it with people gathered seemed to be a fun time
Massive city park w/dog park, frisbee golf, multiple playgrounds, picnic areas and trails
We went here to shoot a music video. Great park!
Cool place to hike! Well kept and not too crowded
Lovely place. A little muddy but great fir dogs to run and have fun
Nice trails, not busy.
Great park with an Amazing Disc Golf Course! Well maintained. Lots of parking and places to have a picnic. Lots of trails I havent had a chance to explore yet.
Beautiful park, at least what is open! Road closures to traffic for deer hunting! Will it last all winter again?? We saw one. OMG! Now we see more coyotes than deer.
