What a great place this is. Meticulously maintained. Something different to do with your family and friends. Plus in years passed, I loved the butterfly exhibit. How cool to see all of the beautiful butterflies. I highly recommend it if you havent been and it might be time to re-visit if you have been before.
Absolutely Beautiful! I love to see all the plants so well taken care of and the creativity of the whole place. This is a place I would not miss visiting. We will be visiting again!
I went here for their Plum Gorgeous event and I must say it was a delight. I really enjoyed the stream wandering through the plants and the fish that called it home. Will definitely go again.
WOW! This botanical garden is one of the best Ive seen. Huge healthy tropical plants that you would never see outside of this greenhouse. Even if youre not all that interested in plants you HAVE to see this place the desert section blew me away!
First time Ive been to the Bloom & Grow exhibit. I really enjoyed it! Beautifully done, and the aroma is amazing! There is something of interest there for all ages. Its a great place to ward off the winter blues and refresh your senses.
Is a very relaxing and lovely place to enjoy in company with your family.
One of my absolute favorite places to visit in Cincinnati. The rooms are large and gorgeous. The majority of the flora is labeled. Ive visited them for both their Christmas display as well as their butterflies and both were a magical experience. There are plenty of places to sit within the conservatory to relax for a little while and enjoy the scenery. This is an excellent place to visit if you have a love for flowers or nature in general. Best of all, the tickets are very affordable and they usually have a $1 off coupon on their website that you can use.
The Christmas display that they had was really nice. They had replicas of many places that Cincinnati is known for. A couple of my favorites were Union Terminal and the Mt. Adams Incline. They had replicas of most of our bridges too that were above everyone and had trains going back and forth across them. Theres also a pond area that has some of the biggest, most beautiful Goldfish that Ive ever seen.
I go to Krohn Conservatory twice a year. The greenhouses are beautiful and relaxing. The staff are friendly, helpful, and keep the place clean. A beautiful tropical escape from all the worries of my busy life.
Simply I loved it. Different experience. Wondering how many different kinds of trees and plants are this universe. Also good place to learn photography. Different colours of flowers and leafs. We can explore more in these place. Simply awesome and I almost spent more than three hours to read about the plant and trees.Am eagerly waiting for butterfly show
Was really nice there. A wide variety of plants that I found very interesting. There was also a bonsai exhibit which was very neat.
Was a great visit. We went to see the annual butterfly exhibit that Krohn Conservatory puts on every spend. My daughter loves seeing the butterflies. I am amazed by their bonzi tree collection and room full of cacti. Overall it was a great place too see all kinds of plants not commonly found in these parts.
Lovely place, somewhere nice to go and relax and take in a the sights and smells of a tropical environment when you cant actually visit a tropical environment! Lol I would love to go back, the cost of entry was only 4 dollars. I managed to stumble on this place during the orchid show. It was fun.
My new favorite place to just get away ️ its absolutely beautiful and calming !
Beautiful! No senior discounts but admission is a Reasonable $10 per person. My only recommendation would be to offer adults only days. We had the misfortune of being there same day a bus load of kids was there. Lots of squeals, mom, mom, mom and mom forgot her name apparently...as well as a couple kids who werent keen on having butterflies landing on them leading to cries or shrieks. Despite all that Im sure we got some good photos and it was amazing!
This is a place relaxing for adults and exciting for kids. Inexpensive. Parking is scattered if you want close get there at opening. Their butterfly exhibit is something to entertain the kids and distract them all in one. Plants waterfalls all gorgeous. If you are a photographer there are plenty of different types of photos you can capture here !!
Beautiful holiday displays. Fun for kids, model trains run throughout. They do a great job at taking the year round display and adding to it for the holidays. Great place to take kids and let them enjoy for an hour or two.
I was not expecting to pay, as all other conservatories I have been to have been free. It was also rather small. It was a decent place to go, and I would suggest someone that has never been to one go. But if you have visited a conservatory? Save your time and money. It is just an average visit.
Love this place. My 92-year old father who rarely wants to go anywhere perked up and said This Krohn is a gem. We agree. A great day today and the park was vibrant and bustling. The holiday displays are awesome. Well done, Krohn.
The space was quite beautiful, loads of incredible plant life . However the intrigue and awe of the space was quickly diminished by the awful customer service I received .As a young creative person I was interested in applying and paying for a photo permit . Happily willing to do all of the proper procedures to make my vision for a photo shoot come to life . I was then confronted with the least friendly and accommodating customer service representative. It was as if she had no interest or concern into my questions and my inquiry .After quite a few rolled eyes my questions were answered and by that time my interest turned into frustration and disgust . $150 photo permit, no lights, no equipment... not sure why I’d pay for that .. and I’m not sure if I’ll ever return .Moral of the story bring a camera, don’t ask for permission and hope for the best .
Beautiful there. So many different plants lived seeing them. Workers there were very kind and helpful
Oh what plants to see. Its well kempt and always a great display. I about you have to love horticulture to see the attention they give to there work here. I came for the Christmas display and it always is a treat to see the details that are thought of. Come here to learn and look up there website for their special showcases. The butterflies are popular, but surprises in are always around the corner.
I love visiting this place. The staff are helpful.
One of my favorite places to visit! Absolutely beautiful inside and would highly recommend visiting during an event as their programs are every well put together and highly informative. Additionally, their holiday displays are beautiful and are always worth checking out.
We didnt know that the butterfly show ended around fathers day and we went in july. It was a really neat place though. Admission was like 7.00 each. They do have a nice little gift shop.
What a great set up for Christmas!! All of the ceramic buildings/creatures and trains everywhere. A very nice place and really cool scenes.
Krohn was absolutely amazing. Everything was so lush and beautiful. I saw things Ive never seen before. So peaceful.
Beautiful displays, but you can literally walk the whole thing within 10 minutes. It doesnt have alot and I think $7.00 for whats being offered is a bit steep.
One of my favorite places to visit in the winter. I love being able to experience plants and nature in an indoor environment where I don’t have to deal with the crummy Ohio weather. I love how diverse the ecosystems are and they always have great programs and exhibits all year long.
We love going to khron for a day trip or a nice relaxing date. Theres always plenty of new and old displays, so many beautiful kinds of plants, and almost always a kids activity area. Staff is always super friendly and its an amazing getaway in downtown that you can easily spend hours in, viewing or relaxing. All in the name of conservation which is just amazing! And admission is generally only 10 dollars :)
Incredibly well maintained facility.
Always a nice visit.
I love all the unique and beautiful plants they have, I always have a wonderful time here
I love this place. We visited on a weekday and it turned out to be a great visual with lovely plants, butterflies and very interactive staff. They taught is the behavior of butterflies and many more things. We also caught a few
A nice collection of some unusual plants. A great way to spend a hot summer day. The bonzai exhibit was cool also.
Be sure to check out their website for which countrys butterflies are going to be exhibited. Its a really nice place to roam around if youre a nature/butterfly enthusiast. Expect to stay here for 1-2 hours.
It was called plum gorgeous. And it was I loved it.
This is a fantastic place to visit. It is absolutely beautiful and highly enjoyable regardless of how much you know about plants.
It is very refreshing to be at this conservatory, my family and I enjoyed our visit.
Wonderful conservatory with lots of interesting plants to see. Also, the butterfly exhibit is worth checking out in the spring.
A beautiful way to spend an afternoon! Peaceful and relaxing, fascinating info to read about the plant life.
Its fine. I dont know if I just wasnt in the Christmas spirit when we went, but it didnt leave a lasting impression. The only thing that did last was the sting of the cost. Was nice to take the kids to. Once. Dont think Ill be compelled to go again.
Very interesting display of plants
$150 for a photo permit to take pictures inside but free if you use your camera phone? Totally absurd. Most of the exhibits were closed and there is already an entrance fee. Staff gave vague reasons such as, other people will want to take photos. Isnt that kind of the point? I was not blocking any exhibits or causing any delays.
Its beautiful here! Perfect for getting out of the house and spending quality time with loved ones.
The whole place is wonderful, plus we got to see the butterflies flying around us which was truly amazing. Its a great place to go to spend the time enjoying the beauty of nature.
Made for a very relaxing afternoon. This was my first time there and I definitely wasnt disappointed.
The butterfly show was awesome & i didnt want to leave but after 2 hours i couldnt take the 90 degrees in there! Some of the butterflies wanted to get out of there also.
Amazing variety of plants with distinct wings for the various ecosystems. We visited at Christmas and it was beautiful to see the minitures of the Cincinnati landmarks. They also had the national park monuments, mammoth caves was so cool! And of course the Wright flyer
Great place to spend time with lots of very interesting plants, and they have a butterfly room with many different species, friendly atmosphere, its like traveling to the rainforest.
Great place to go with kids for the butterfly exhibit. Really neat indoor waterfall and plants. Nice for a rainy or cold day. Looking forward to future exhibits.
Great! We go here and combine it with the local park and the art museum. Theres a wide variety of plants. Our favorite is th he bonsai room.
Best place to visit with family and friends. Surrounded by greenery. Beautiful nature around. Those who like butterflies must visit Butterfly show in month of May.
There will be changing exhibits throughout the seasons but all are great. The size of the place is not as large as others but the details in each exhibit should keep you occupied for hours if you take your time. You should visit and make it a tradition like the many people who make it one now.
Very pretty and a lot of fun. A little bit small, but worth the price of admission. You can learn a lot as well!
Best place to visit with family and friends. Surrounded by greenery. Beautiful nature around. Those who like butterflies must visit Butterfly show in month of May.
Very beautiful place that showcases plants and other such things. Great place to show to children since there was a train exhibit there. Would recommend for all ages.
Loved this place. Great fun for kids - the whole family - and adults alike. They were having the butterfly show when we went and it was delightful. The butterflies would land on kids, adults, pieces of paper the staff handed out, and often were content to stay on your finger or other object while you admired their beauty. The variety of plants and the conservatory climate were absolutely delightful and entertaining from an adults perspective and well worth the visit. And to top in off, Eden Park itself is huge with lots of attractions for anyone. A very delightful day out at one of Cincys historic parks. Highly recommended.
I went to see the Christmas display and it was fantastic! There were many famous landmarks created from natural materials, trains, and even an elf scavenger hunt throughout the conservatory. Beautiful orchids and trees. A waterfall with a tunnel behind it. This is a fantastic little trip for the whole family.
Wide variety of tropical and desert plants with a winding path to guide you through the three different wings. Small entrance fee. A must see for plant lovers, but probably won’t take over 30 min to explore.
Small conservatory, but well kept and worth the $10 to get in. I was there in time to see the christmas displays. Very nice. I plan to return in spring for the butterfly festival.
Nice place to visit, to enjoy the plants and take the mind off world affairs.
Took my daughter to the butterfly exhibit! She loved it! Awesome place!
This place is small but gorgeous and well-kept. I love visiting when Im in town.
Beautiful flowers, fruit trees, and cacti. The butterfly exhibit is magical. Ive only been during winter and once this summer. It is magical during Christmas too with the poinsettias everywhere too. Definitely a pleasant, reasonably priced family attraction year round. Right near a bunch of nice parks good for BBQ.
Krohn Conservatory is a Cincinnati icon. Going there for a visit never fails to lift the spirits. There are 3 main rooms that include a succulent garden, beautiful orchids, an amazing bonsai display, and lush tropical plants complete with waterfall! Year round it is a cozy place to visit. The special display room is always a treat, with exhibits like butterflies from around the world or a holiday train display complete with Cincinnati buildings created from natural materials like leaves and seeds! If the weather is nice there is plenty more to see and do in Eden Park!
A beautiful conservatory with great informational guides! About a 30-45 minute jaunt. But also has activities for kiddies!
Great display and variety of plants. A bit smaller than expected but the succulent house was amazing!
Krohn is a beautiful Conservatory. I love the annual butterfly show. They have events year round for all ages.
One of the best conservatories in Ohio. Well maintained and fairly priced. Biomes are very mature and staff was friendly.
We love this place, the Christmas specialty is amazing
Sitting outside and enjoying a pleasant meal made for a delightful evening. The staff seems slightly overwhelmed yet were pleasant.
Really cute little garden full of trains and replica buildings from cincinnati. It would be very nice to go with kids to take pictures or even just watch the trains. Definitely a place to check out with a friend or even alone it’s a beautiful walk through garden.
Great place to see flora that isint in this part of the country!
Amazing observatory, as someone who enjoys plants and nature many of the plants here are very fascinating and beautiful. With a large variety of plants from all over the world anyone with a green thumb would love it here! My only complaint is that when I visited they had the butterfly exhibit but it was very crowded! There were a lot of kids which I love to see interacting with nature but I feel like there should have been a limit on people. Some of the people didn’t have much respect for the butterflies but there’s only so much you can do :(. Thank you for the lovely time though!!
I didnt actually go into the conservatory, (not that my phone knew that. Lol) but the parks around it are lovely!
The Christmas exhibit was excellent again this year. I also really enjoyed the fairy tail forest. The map book was an awesome addition. Will go back again once they get the live animal display open. Photo is the three Billy goats gruff!
Spent a wonderful Saturday afternoon at Krohn with my friends (which I hadnt done in a very long time - my mistake)!!! Amazing variety and information. AND, I found my tree. The chocolate tree is my all time favorite.
This place is beyond beautiful. I was in awe of everything from the time i walked in the door. The Christmas displays were breathtaking a d i loved the trains. This is a must go place to visit if you are in the area.
They do an amazing amount of work to get this place ready for the public. We went at Christmas to see the Nativity and the train display. But we couldnt pass up going through the whole Conservatory. Everywhere was so beautiful!
Love the butterfly exhibit!Staff was truly a blessing and kind. Can’t wait to come back.
Very nice little conservatory! Smaller than Franklin Park in Columbus Ohio, but still great things for the kids to see!!! My kids really enjoyed the butterfly exhibit I believe that is going on until June. Look it up and check it out!!!! Beautiful Area!
Butterfly fly show always beautiful!
My favorite place to go to relax and get away from everything, especially in the winter.
My favorite place in Cincinnati, as a bonsai enthusiast its a great place to visit.
Me and kelley went to visit museums in the Cincinnati area because we came back in town visiting after we decided to move to Myrtle Beach. my mother and him moved a couple years ago I moved a couple weeks ago and wanted to enjoy a couple of museums and we walked into this one it supposedly close at 5 and the lady that came to the door couple minutes later after we are asking for somebody to help she was very rude and then we asked if she knew any other local museums that were open she looked at us all snobby and said the parks open... Lmao wow what a great experience!
Train displays and fairy houses throughout. Cincinnati historic places immortalized in tree wood displays in main house. Stable of the nativity outside. Absolutely Cincinnati and Christmas all in one. Perfect for all 3 generations that went. Something for everyone!!!
They have some neat plants but overall there were a lot of local plants. Considering they charged a $4 entrance fee I admit I was expecting a little more. The bicycle theme was cute and added color. Its probably something you could add as an activity to do in addition to something else in town, as we only spent maybe 20 minutes walking around, but I wouldnt necessarily go out of my way to recommend it as a top activity must do.
Beautiful butterfly display. We really enjoyed them up close. The parking was a little tricky to figure out. The lower lot was full, but the upper lot was nearly empty. Better signage about how to get to the upper lot would have been helpful.
Beautiful & soothing place. I love coming here.
Love the conservatory, would love to see it for Christmas, Ive heard its breathtaking.
It is not tremendously large, but has two very well established and older get houses (1932) which are delightful and comforting with a waterfall and steam. Theres a rotating special exhibit room currently filled with holiday delights. A dessert, orchid, and bonsai rooms.
The plant life is amazing here.
Came during the Orchid Show. Lovely.
Amazing place to visit. Can see many tropical trees and flowers.
