Popular little park. Has dog and kid friendly areas. Fairly new I guess; not so many trees yet. Too many people for bird watching unless you count pigeons, sparrows, and starlings.

I manage the farmers market held Saturday’s in our beautiful park! During COVID-19 we still had Famers, yoga on the Hill, kids, dogs, families, singles spending time in the Park. The Market received great reviews from the City and shoppers as we were all able to execute safety protocols. Hoping we can get back to ‘normal’ next season.

It is a small square park, but it is enjoyable.This park offers mounds that visitors can picnic and relax on and view the area around them. The yard is well kept. Not a lot of options for shade, there are a few trees, but this is a sunbathers paradise. There are a couple of sculptures to beautify the space. There are walk ways around and through the park. On many days there will be one food truck, so you can easily grab a bite to eat or grab a non-alcoholic beverage.This park also offers a designated dog park also. So bring your pooch.The neighborhood is nice and safe. If you are getting here by car, you will end up paying for parking. It is about $5-6 per hour at City of Chicago parking meters.

That park is truly great ...my dog really enjoyed himself everyone is so friendly .... From the people to the dogs we will definitely be returning

This is a beautiful place to walk your dogs and shoot the breeze in the windy city. The amount of benches around the park give your pooch ample play space while you watch them roll run bounch around with others. Spice it up by taking an rc car and attaching a flag to get the dogs running for hours of fun and laughter

We love this park. My daughter lives across the street and I walk the dog there whenever we visit. Its a very social place for dogs and dog lovers. It has a fenced-in dog area as well. Its kept up and theres a great farmers market on Saturdays.

Cute park with skyline views in the middle of the West Loop. Great for walking your dog (and they have a dog park/run!), having a socially distant picnic with friends, laying out on the grass with a drink and a good book, or just sitting under the share of a tree to people watch.

We brought our dog to the dog park. The park was clean and not very crowded for a warm Saturday evening.

I like the family friendly atmosphere, but overall the park is kinda small and not much shade. Overall its neat.

Mary Bartelme Park is surrounded by a median income of 500.000 a year, so it shows with the police presence, the family surroundings, and the upkeep of the park that never closes..

Really love this place. Its so relaxing and walking distance from Greek town. Perfect for a first time date. Where it really comes alive is at night. Its a photographers paradise and people come here with their dogs. Defitnetly a park to come see.

Best park for pets -with a dog run & best play area for kids in the City. Great meeting space with cool misting available during the humid summer. Farmer’s Market & Movies at night. It also has a number of caring, excellent volunteers who keep it perfectly manicured and clean for all.

I like this park a lot but they dont enforce the dog area much. My son loves running around here so I just have to keep an eye on what he steps on.

This was the place that made me fall in love with the West Loop years ago. A dog park for our furry family. The “red park” play area for the little one. Green space. And friendly folks. A gem in Chicago.

Interesting Neighborhood Park with cool pieces of metals but it lacks something! Its a great addition to neighborhoods but quite a trip for tourists to make a special visit.

First Time here, this park is very Traverse my Daughter Loved it and made lots of friends quickly while i enjoyed a New Chapter in my book. Recommended for Everyone. Will visit next time im in the area.

I enjoyed coming here but the dog owners need to be more considerate on picking up after their dogs poop. There are many children who play here and unfortunately my sister fell and ended up landing on fresh dog poop. Luckily we managed to get her cleaned up at the dog shop across from the park.

This is a great park with many awesome motor skills activities for kids. The only bad thing is that there is no parking near the area and you definitely get ticketed, if you park without a permit parking pass.

This park seemed to be very cool. The light arches is what I went to go see. I do street photography for a hobby so I ventured all the way to this park to try and get a cool photo. I was very disappointed to know upon arrival that the lights were off. I got there a little after 9PM. The park was nice from what I could see.

My daughter and I discovered that park by mistake and just couldnt leave. There a great and unusual structure for older children. I tried it and it gave me quite a workout. The whole surface is padded. We will definitively be coming back. Even teenagers would have fun here.

Overly busy, and way to caotic. A homeless man came inside the fenced play area, took a childs football an threw it across the park. We did not feel safe at this park.

Great place to photograph one of Chicago landmark architecture. Nothing much to see there other than the metal structure if you are a tourist.Of course there is a park and a playground so if you have kids a fun place to hang out.And there is a dog park separate section and seems to be extremely popular hang out for pet and dog owners..I shouldve stayed a little bit longer for the lights to show up. Also I could never get the entire of Sears Tower in the frame as I have seen in other photos - there is a new building that blocks pretty much the entire of Sears Tower...

This is a beautiful park in the heart of the West Loop. Its perfect for families and just enjoying the city. The playground is great fun, with all sorts of equipment. Theres also a terrific spray sculpture that will make being outside in July bearable.
