The grandkids 12, 10 and 5 all love Indian Boundary. Its difficult to achieve agreement from everyone on a place to go so Im very appreciative of this park. The kids especially like that the play area is built of wood. We also like the misting sprinkler pad and the pond with turtles. I enjoy the trees and walkways too. There are a field house and nature center as well.

Very quiet park with a very chill environment. Not to many people and even when the park is busy the parents are well attentive to theyre childern.i come here alot with my kids they love playing with the polar bears that still shoot out water. And if the polar bears isnt enough they have a pond where you can find turtles and what not swimming around.

The park is nice, but my review is about the dude with the ice cream tricycle. He wouldnt give my daughter a napkin so I decided to leave a bad Yelp review. What horrible customer service. He had a whole roll of paper towels and he wouldnt give a little cute girl a napkin. I think he pretended that he didnt understand her. I hope the management resolves this issue. Next time we come to the park we expect the ice cream vendor to be nice. Then I will give 5 stars!

Love this park! Great for walking and cycling. There are cute tiny houses the kids love to play in and mostly they love getting wet in the sprinklers and drying off in the playground which is really unique from all other parks locally. Not the typical metal climbing frames. Its more like a wooden castle or tower, inspires great creativity with their make believe games. Also love the duck pond. Overall really pleasant and picturesque.

This is one of the nicest parks in the city. The wooden playground is perfect for children to run around and enjoy. However, the best feature is definitely the pond. It is filled with turtles and many types of fish. In addition, there seems to be a huge snapping turtle. Awesome park!

A favorite of mine for a number of reasons - they have a small zoo. They have tons of migratory ducks and geese using the waterfowl pool when the weathers good, and even the architecture of the surrounding apartment buildings is pleasing to look at. It may be slightly out of the way up in West Ridge but its completely worth a visit.

I used to bring my kids to this park when they were little. We call it the castle park because it is is shaped like a castle. They had a little zoo with a few animals the kids loved it! Its gone! the park is very old and starting to fall apart it does still have the pond it remember with gold fish and turtles. I wish they would fix up the park not change it though.

Review №32

Lovely nature area and places to play or picnic with plenty of shade. My only caution to parents is the playground which is different and fun but full of nooks and passageways - it can be a challenge to keep track of more than one small child because there are many places to duck out of sight or pass from one side to the other relatively out of sight. The slide will burn in the heat of the day. Also because its wood there are plenty of splinter opportunities. They do a good job keeping it up and as safe as possible but caution warranted with the little ones, especially if only one caregiver and more than one kid.

The lagoon holds turtles and large hungry ducks and gold fish. On occasion, geese stroll the walkway. In the evening, nighthawks zoom just overhead, scarfing the insects that hover over the water.

Indian Boundary Park is expansive to say the least. The grounds are very well kept and the nature conservatory is still as breathtaking as ever. Unfortunately, the playground itself has seen better days. The wood is in desperate need of repair. Aside from that, its still an amazing place to have a nice picnic and relax.

I use to go here a lot when I was younger and I remember it being very well tooken care of, now that Im older and I take my kids here, they dont maintain the park at all like they should. Everytime I go now there is so much litter, even by the water where the kids have their shoes off playing, the wood chucks barely cover the ground anymore innthe playground area. There are large portions of dirt around the playground area that when it rains turns into mud so after a rainy day I would say stay away from the park cause its gonna be a muddy mess, I understand the history value of the park but if its not being maintaining to stay nice, litter free, wood chucks renewed, grass cut. Just switch it up like all the other parks have done with the plastic squishy floors, and the plastic obstacle area.

Of course the alderman doesnt tear it down......WHY???????? Because he gets tax money to maintain it so there is a paid for zoo with no animals.Family orientedLots of green space.Lots of benches that could use updating but the money goes to zoo animals that dont exist.
