Great place! Anna was working the front desk. She was great, she gave a very good overview of the collection and set us on our way.The collection was alot of cars mostly from the 1920s to the 1940s. absolutely amazing day. it took us a full three hours to go through the collection although we did go very slow.

An AMAZING private collection of cars, all in mint condition. Lots of unique one-off models and concept cars. A crazy number of Rolls-Royces. Also a separate room with a collection of watches and a room with military memorabilia (the owner is a WWII veteran). Very friendly reception.

Can see lots of historic and unique cars in the past! Kids would definitely love it!

So amazing! By far the neatest collection of cars and memorabilia. The gentleman that owns the museum was very nice and his story of his life was very interesting. Its so special that he now shares his collection with the public!

Car enthusiasts will love this place! It recently opened to the public and isnt well known YET but it will be! Nearly 400 different automobiles, as well as bicycles, clocks, watches, and other memorabilia. My husband says Anna is the nicest museum staff hes ever met and weve been to car museums in at least 7 other states.

Like a walk back in time: my time, dads time, granddads time. Cars, timepieces, signs, trains, gas station items all there. 1940s music on the loudspeakers. Place is spotless. Cars shine. Windows glisten. The funny thing is also an age appropriate restroom on the 1st floor. Enjoy the museum.

It was a total surprise coming here and experiencing this. My girl took me here, and it was probably one of the best highlights of our trip to Chicago. Amazing, giant place with a lot of one-offs and different themes of cars put together. Its truly an experience to come here and check out these cars. They had the Golden Sahara there when we went, and it was definitely worth the visit. NOTE : When you get there, youll have ring a bell to get in. Have a little patience and the wonderful staff will come open the door. Almost left after 2 rings!

This was my first time visiting Klairmont Kollections and I was impressed. It has a wide variety of classic cars including some modern. My two year old loves cars and he had such a good time discovering various design ideas. We loved it.

Unique collection of rare antique cars. Very interesting place now open to the public. And also you can rent space for the party. The party I attended was great. Interesting, engaging environment, excellent service. I was surprised it existed in my neighborhood:)

Nine figure collection presented in a surprisingly expansive space. Stunning subject matter on display, curated by passionate experts in elegant fashion. Simple, chronological floor-plan makes for smooth viewing flow. However if youre like me, fatigue hits at the 20 minute mark due to over stimulation.

Great place to visit if you love cars and very unusual cars that youve never seen before its definitely worth the look!

Not just cars, but a walk through history. His collections truly help define American culture and mark our achievements beautifully. The owner is a former Marine that fought in WWII and has a wonderful story that you can watch in his Marine Corps Memorabilia section of the tour. Great for any age.

We LOVED this place! Been meaning to come herr for a long while, but always seem to forget when we have the time. Finally made it, and cant recommend it enough. There was a young lady at the front desk that did a great job explaining the lay of the land (and land it is: 100K sq ft/2floors). Many very unique super custom, 1 of a kind jaw dropping vehicles. The floor plan was easy to navigate and the vehicles had a paper detailing the specs, stories behind the cars, and the significance/rarity of them. Easy to momentarily ignore the value of the collection, due to its sheer size, until you see a car you know is almost priceless parked just like it was any of the other 100 cars you just walked by. For me that car was an immaculate 1955 Mercedes SL300 Gullwing, a car that gets auctioned off for millions every couple of years. There was a small room that was playing a documentary about the owner that I hope I can find online because he seems like he has a great story to share alas I had my son with me and the attention span is that of a mosquito. So, definitely a great place to visit, for any man/woman and child (of age, thats not going to try to get into every car lol didnt bring my 5 yo but brought the 7yo)

I was privileged to attend a private event at the Klairmont Car Kollection. A fantastic private collection of over 300 unique and collectible cars from around the world.The Klairmont Kollection is a Hidden Gem in Chicago.  You can get up close with over 300 one-of-a-kind and unique collectible cars. This is truly a car lovers heaven.Some of the unique cars include a 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 with an all stainless steel body and unique gull-wing doors and a 1983 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur covered in nearly 1 million Swarovski crystals.This collection includes One of a Kind cars like Dwight D Eisenhowers 1952 Cadillac limo.  A 1935 Studebaker model 2-a dictator Phaeton, believed to be one of the only examples of this car that exist in the United States.Cars formerly owned by celebrities such as Shaquille ONeal, Jackie Gleason, Mae West. As well as cars that were made specifically for movies such as; a 1935 Lincoln Model K used in the movie The Rat Race and was supposed to be Hitlers staff car, a 1935 Hudson Terraplane that was used in the movie Public Enemies and driven by Johnny Depp,Theres also a huge watch, clock, and train collection. There different display areas, some with really campy mannequins and other landmarks from the Chicago area are also representedI can understand why Larry Klairmont, the owner of this fantastic collection, says that all of his cars are his favorite. I would have a really hard time picking one out of all the others.The Collection is generally not open to the General Public, but they are just starting to have guided tours on Saturdays for $35 per person. If you are a car lover, a history buff, or just interested in seeing something unique and totally different, I would highly recommend a visit to the Klairmont collection.

This was my first time visiting and I have to admit, that I was amazed at the collection of antiques cars, it bought wonderful memories. I reccomend this place to everyone to go and visit this hidden treasure in chicago. It is worth the time.

We celebrated our 20th Anniversary today at Klairmont Kollections and it was so amazing. Our guest were so impressed with Klairmont Kollections and the service they provide. Klairmont Kollections is a Chicago hidden gem! Ana was so helpful during the whole process too!

One of the best museums I have seen. Lots of LOVE. The cars are incredible, the best the highest quality, the unique, all of it, for car experts and no experts. But not just the cars, the whole space, all the collections, the music. It was like a magical adventure. A real gem. Thanks Larry.

Simply unbelievable collection of cars. There are rare and one of a kind models as well as memorabilia from all ages of automotive history. Plan to spend a minimum of four hours here if you have a fleeting interest in cars. Plan to come back if you like cars. There is too much history to absorb in just one visit.

Omg I would give it 10 Stars if I could but I am a total car buff. It is a perfect place to host an event and then they open up the entire car collection for people to see. If you love perfectly restored amazing vintage cars I would suggest to wear a bucket around your neck because you will be drooling.

Nothing else like it in Chicago. The only downside to the number of cars is that they are sometimes too close together for the best viewing.Very eclectic collection.

Some good cars but also a lot of junk cars. The cars are way too close together. Moreover, the museum is in a bad over crowded town. The place is closed except for special occasions. Not worth the trip.Two thumbs down :-(

Great collection of cars

Amazing collection of cars. Detail about each and every car is shown on the vehicle. They all run and drive and are not just exhibits. Fascinating story about the owner is shown in a video and I understand he is a frequent visitor even at 91 years of age, when this is written. Well worth a visit.

I Always take my children out to see new and exciting things to learn. Upon my arrival, My children and I were super excited to see antique car collection we had previously reviewed on YouTube! Of course anyone knows when dealing with antiques or valuables you have to be very very cautious and NOT TOUCH! The lady which was in the video (On YouTube For Klairmont Kollection)stopped us at the door. No greeting of any sort but you can tell she was going to be very judgmental. So I decided to smile and say hello and ask if this was the Museum? She said “yes” then began telling me make sure my children don’t touch and if we know the definition of “Antiques” ? blocking us from coming inside we were basically still between the door. I then told her as my youngest son was in arms and my 16 year old on my side That I know how to control my children they are not misbehaved as well as telling her the meaning of Antiques! And how important they are. She then goes on an questioned me saying are u going to hold them? Of cours! I replied( I’m still smiling at this point trying not to allow unhappiness interfere) Again we don’t allow touching! She then goes on and say again please make sure they won’t touch? And if you touch an antiques do you know what it can do? Then she says well we charge for adults but I’ll have to charge you 27.50 and your son. (charging my child as an adult without asking the age) ok no problem, We had a list of places to go too and this One was on the list so we were running on schedule it was already 3:30 by the time she got done talking we only had 20 min. Which was ok because from the viewpoint it wasn’t very many cars.. Anyway, She then goes on again about how important the cars are and if I’ll make sure they don’t touch and so forth.......and so forth ......After that I just said forget it! She made us feel very uncomfortable (I guess was her Intentions) ....But after witnessing that I see why no one else was there.It was unfortunate that she didn’t allow us to view their wonderful kollection. But won’t ever be back here again !God Bless this lady.Response to Respondent.....Rather 15min or 20sec it’s about the Experience and the treatment. And with the way you respond to my review I’m guessing your the lady at the door. :) (or a Grand “child” waiting on Inheritance) Thee experience of how people like you still Exist was worth every penny and that was “Free” enough.

This place is so neat!! Mr. Klairmont is so sweet and welcoming!! He collects more than one of a kind cars, he had an amazing 500 watch collection!! Go if you get the chance!!!

The collection is truly breathtaking and outstanding. The staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable. It was an honour for me to be able to get close to a diverse range of legendary automotive masterpieces, from the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, to the 2002 Lincoln Continental concept car, to every classic Rolls Royce you could think of, and far far more.

Great collection! Price is a bit steep, but I would say overall it was worth it.
