You get such an amazing entre for such an amazing price, and I always recommend this dish to people. I mean you cant go wrong with anything on this menu. The staff is incredible, and you feel like a celebrity eating here! I will recommend this place to my friends.
Loved the building design, a bit retro and a bit minimalist. We watched “Bombshell” absolutely loved the film (5 stars), but not overly happy with the rocking-chair; the person sit in front of me constantly hitting my legs (unintentionally) throughout the movie, and I’m only 5’8! Improvements required on privacy in the restrooms, you can see in/out through the gaps clearly and easily. Staff also required training, the guy served us and the ticket person clearly doesn’t want to be there, not a great first impression.
Ive always preferred watching movies at the movie house, its just way better here. However, we were blown away by the service. My boyfriend and I had to leave the movie due to an emergency, and the manager gave us two movie tickets to come back for free. He didnt have to do that, but he just did! Thank you!
Landmark Theatre is my go to for all movies! Enjoy a cocktail in their lounge. Then enjoy a movie in their comfortable theaters. Keep doing a great job! Support local business. I dont know what i would do without this wonderful place.
Excellent movie house here in our area! I proved it when I went to your movie house just a week ago. It has a good place to watch a movie, very refreshing, the seats were very comfortable. Their staff was also very professional and friendly. Very strongly recommended to everyone! I must surely introduce you to everyone!
This movie house was excellent! Great interior inside and outside area. I honestly love the atmosphere here. They never fail me on my high expectations. I am deeply impressed by how they handled their customers correctly with no hassles at all. Thank you very much for assisting me and for providing me genuine assistance.
The Landmark Century Centre Cinemas is BACK!You can watch some great movies on the BIG SCREEN again...no streaming necessary! Yay! I saw On The Rocks today...directed by Sofia Coppola. I loved it an I think its one of her best films!
Neighborhood gem - this place shows a mix of first-run independent/artsy and mainstream/popular films, specials, award nominees, festival favorites, Q&As / extras w/ directors, etc.Hidden inside a sleepy shopping center, conveniently located near transit, restaurants, shopping, etc. Theater was recently renovated, includes a full bar and the two largest screens have reclining seats.TIP: Bring your ticket stub across the street to La Creperie (Americas oldest creperie), and receive a free crepe (w/ drink purchase) - perfect lil date night!
Really like this movie theatre. You cant reserve seats, so be wary of that and get there early. Plenty of other good places nearby so you can combine movie with food or drinks, etc
This theater shows a lot of Indie movies that you will not find in the bigger movie theaters. This movie theater is on the 4th floor inside the old Century shopping mall, yes I do remember the century shopping mall.Prices are decent and they recently upgraded their seats. We go here for a lot of movie screenings especially the offbeat ones that you wont find in the general theaters. I have never experienced a crowded movie at this theater when purchasing a regular ticket.Parking is non-existent streetwise, but they do have a parking garage where if you get your ticket validated by the cashier at the bar you only have to pay $5 which is a bargain considering how hard it is to find parking in the area.
Clean and up to covid 19 percusions
I went to watch movie here with my boyfriend on New Year’s Eve. The staffs very nice, the seat very comfy with the recliner and the ticket only $10. I moved to this neighbor 4 years ago and never know this theater is here and only one mile from my apartment. I always go to AMC theatre in downtown is cost more $ to go there. But now I have new favorite theater in my neighbor.
This theater is very comfortable. Parking is pretty expensive, I paid about $20 to park in the lot for one movie. The concession area is small but they have a nice bar/lounge area.
$32 for a Movie. The place advertised a $6.00 parking charge. I got out and found that I was charged $22.00 for parking. Naturally, everyone said there is nothing we can do - its automated. Last time I will visit this theater. No wonder the place is empty - shysters! And you can see the theater responses below. Beware this theater.
As theaters go in the city, this is probably my favorite. Comfortable. Great service (beer in an actual glass!). Great arthouse movies along with all the big releases. First rate place!
Favorite movie theater in Chicago, always has a great selection of both popular and hard to find films. Especially like being able to catch all the awards-season movies in one place.
The building itself is iconic. The theater (at least the one I was in) had nice seats and the sound and picture were great. Definitely will go back there.
This theater feels really nice and casual. Easy to access the bar and decently priced. Like that you can go in an out until your movie starts.
Its kind of a confusing building, but the movie theater is on the third floor and they show lots of movies before other theaters get them. I say Parasite (2019) here before it was playing anywhere else. The bar by the concessions is also really nice. Its got a good vibe and nice view.
Landmark century theater is Chicagos premier cinema. They always feature the the popular Indy films circulating abuzz their unique stories, foreign subjects and languages and if its a good film, some obtuse, strangeness to wrap it all up in. Oh, it also has a full bar with lounge. If you get past the ghost mall it occupies, I promise you, you cant pick a bad movie. Theyre all worth checking out!
My favorite place in Lakeview. I try to only see movies here. The bar is great!
By far the worst experience watching The Irishman. The movie is excellent. However the projector guy sitting upstairs didn’t raise the volume till half way of the movie. Other people noticed as well. Then we saw him moving things which were projected on the screen. Horrible place, run by the worst management. I would avoid this place.
This is one of my favorite theaters. They run interesting movies, often specializing in indie flicks. But you can still see some major blockbusters here from time-to-time (I saw avengers endgame and toy story 4 here). Popcorn is solid. Theaters are always very clean. And the best part, they poor the TALLEST beers and you can take them into the movie with you. A+ place for a chill movie night.
Im so lucky to have this theater close to home. Great films, wonderful staff, yummy popcorn. This is a Chicago gem.
Great place for art films. Probably Chicago’s weirdest building/ defunct indoor mall. But the popcorn is probably the best in the city tastes real
Movie theater was clean and easily accessible to Lakeview/Lincoln Park. HOWEVER! I went for Star Wars episode 9 and got there 2 hours early to relive my 2009 midnight premiere days. I asked 2 different people working there if there was a line for the movie, since the seats were general admission, and both people said no. BUT! BETRAYAL! The dead speak! There was a line after all! Is this what Han and Leia felt after Lando sold them out to the Empire?! The deal has been altered! After ~15 people were in the line, I figured out what was happening and joined the line. I ended up with great seats but to this theater I say: YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!! Said to bring balance to the force, not leave it in ruin!! Regardless, Ill be back.
This is a very nice theater in the upper floors of the century shopping Center. They have a full bar and discounted tickets on Sunday before 5. Very comfortable seating and first-run movies. This is one of my favorite movie theaters.
Landmark Century is the best place Ive ever been to watch a movie. Its super comfy, the crowd is quiet and respectful, the staff is cool and so is the bar. The building is impressive too, with a wonderful spiraling walkway that sets the mood for film.I feel lucky to live close to it.
Everything was nice. We say in the last row of the front section yet did not get a stuff neck from looking up. The seats are raised enough that it was still comfortable.
It always looks like it needs a good cleaning. Never too crowded though.
It’s worth to visit theatre! A good choice of movies... and a modern design with charming yellow elevators;)
I always enjoy coming to this theater to watch a movie thats not mainstream. Very clean, and handicap accessible with ramps for most of the theaters. Comfortable seating.
Ive never had a bad experience here. The theatres are spacious with comfortable seating. Clean and well kept. The bar serves a nice selection of cocktails, and the few times Ive ordered, they bartender had been generous
First time ever in a theater like this I usually go to Studio Movie Grill more of a commercialized theaters. Came to watch the Irishman great location great atmosphere still old school where its first come first serve on seating so make it early thank god our seating was still decent to enjoy the movie.
Great, comfortable seats. Important to note in the era of endless previews shows pretty much start on time.
A nice theater to catch independent films as well as current releases.
A good place to chill and have drink with a friend before you go watch a movie. Friendly staff at the bar and drinks were good too. It s nice that they have the parking right next to the century Mall and it s easy to get to the theater right from the parking lot.
Amazing staff, great theatre, great beverage service, with great movie options.I saw short animation & short action films, before Academy awards & so happy to have seen them. Great artistic work
My favorite theater to go to! I especially love that there’s a bar area with good drink prices and options, and decent food. Nice area to hangout in before you go in for your movie. First come first serve seating. Comfortable seating. Great sound. My go to theater.
Hair and facial, manicure and retail hair prods., all you need--
Its wild how this place hace changed over the years. The theater is GREAT, parking ok and customer service was really good. Id go back
One of the best cinema houses in Chicago. The remodeled Bar by the entry way is an added plus.
Dont have any other type of popcorn except butter popcorn and its so expensive. The seats arent balanced. Depending on ur height and weight, the seat might swing. Very unsafe seats for kids.
I like that this cinema is so big, cuz it makes it seem like its always quiet even when its busy. They have a full bar/lounge area near the concession stand, so if you come early, you can hangout in plush chairs with a cocktail before your movie starts
Place really needs an update. Great films play here. Organic popcorn would be great. No GMO s
Interesting repurposing of space which includes a shopping center and eateries with convenient, though pricey, attached parking. Great for inclement days. Biggest drawback is lack of signage. The employees are quite helpful with directions but more and better signs would be helpful. Refreshments are limited but reasonably priced.
BEAUTIFUL big screen and friendly staff who work there and it is cleaned by the workers and the concession stand was fast and soda was fresh
Has great movies here. Saw Downton Abbey. Also has a bar and you can take your drinks into the theater.
Nice seats, screen had a small run in it but that stopped being noticeable once the movie started. Touch expensive, good for date night
Great drinks. Awesome bratwurst. Friendly place
A good film center which is diversion from AMC. Only place with the Irishman
Staff are friendly and helpful but the cinema is aging. Seats are not comfortable and not very clean. A bit understaffed also and with lots of commercials before the featured film. Yes, it started late.
Good staff, but skip the popcorn.
Parking almost makes it almost not worth going. Movie theater is fine.
Landmark Century Theater on Clark Street in Chicago is one to f my favorite movie theaters. It is very near my home so I go there often. I was wondering I use to use the app Fandango to look up movie times and to see what was playing. I knew I could not buy tickets through Fandango. Why isn’t your movie theater listed on Fandango anymore? Other small non chain theaters are.
Great place to see a movie! Full bar has better selection than some other theaters. Theaters have stadium seating and seats have decent amount of recline. Surprisingly was not sold out for opening weekend of a huge movie release! Just wish they had a loyalty/repeat customer program.
Pros: Great theater tucked inside of Chicagos historic Century Mall. The facilities are great, a bit compact, but whats one to expect when inside of a high rise mall. The staff is very friendly, which is always great. Ticket buying is for the most fully automated with ticket spewing kiosks, I dont recall seeing a box office so bring your debit card, or buy tickets beforehand online or via app before arriving to avoid potential lines. I live that you can find artsy, Oscar contender type films readily at this there. Theres a bar adjacent to the concessions stand, and one has the freedom to take an alcoholic drink with while viewing a film. There were no issue with other moviegoers being noisy, or using electronics, everyone was highly respectful of the viewing experience. The movie theater was clean, my feet didnt stick to the floor and their mini Lazyboy chairs are very comfortable. The parking garage is exceptionally convenient since street parking is extremely limited, and for the few parks along the street, there are no parking meters along that stretch of Clark Street to pay. I searched up, down and around the block for a meter to pay, and ultimately ended up being ticketed, hence use the parking garage if you intend to drive. Plus the theaters garage is much less expensive than a $50 dollar City of Chicago parking ticket entrapment.Cons: Expensive, but that higher costs are found away nearly all theatres these days.
This is a very nice and quaint movie theater they also validate your parking to save you money.
This is a very friendly, small scale theater with great staff, an interesting movie selection that includes blockbusters as well as more art house-like features and a pleasant atmosphere.
Unfortunately, I cant recommend this place. The seating has awkward reclining actions that basically forces you forward, and you have no legroom if someone is sitting in front of you (and Im just the average height at 510). The floors were also sticky. That would be fine by itself, but ticket prices fairly high compared to other theaters, especially since I went during the week. If you want a more premium movie experience, stick with either the Michigan 9 downtown or the Century 12 in Evanston. For cheap tickets, I would recommend the 400 theater. The one employee that I did talk with was nice though, and the theater does show films that frequently dont play elsewhere.
Dip off spot. Very great films are shown here. Arthouse films
Very good theater. Friendly staff, fair admission, clean facilities.
What a great place to see a movie, grab a drink and hangout.
They have renovated the bar area. The seats are comfortable and all the theaters are wheelchair accessible with an elevator in the building.
Very nice facility with smaller theaters. The bar area is very comfortable as well.
Still the best theater for non mainstream movies in the city. Convenient cheap parking in the building. Some screens have reserved oversized, reclining seats.
Always love the grown up crowd. Nice bar area helps to meet your friends. Clean, close to restaurants and public transportation.
My favorite movie theater in the city. Unique indie flicks that you cant find anywhere mixed with solid blockbusters. The staff is lovely l. I appreciate that they dont check your bags (which is silly) like Regal.
Great theater, surprised the sound was not better tho!
I love this Landmark Theatre. They are always showing a great selection of films, many of which are not available at other theaters in the area, and they have incredibly comfortable seating. Huge perk is the movie price, which is a few dollars cheaper than the other chain theaters in the area, and M-Th they have student pricing. Their popcorn is fresh (very important to this movie-goer) and they offer free flavor toppings. Plus they have refills on large sodas and they even have a bar if you want to bring a drink in to the theatre with you.
Great spot but weird layout
I love the movie options at this theater. Great indie movies.Absolutely the best theater popcorn Ive had of any theater in Chicago.Seats arent super comfortable. They recline too far back.
This theater is right by where I live so it is my #1 go to for all my movies. I have to say that the selection over the last few months has been very stagnant. I would like to see new movies shuffled in more frequently. A few of the movies playing now have been there for months and the selection in general lately has been very lacking. As a longtime and frequent patron, can we please try to mix up the selections and add new movies more frequently? Thank you
Friendly staff and good service
Great selection of foreign, art and independent films. Pretty high prices and not the most comfortable seats. The concessions are fairly high end.
This is a quirky little theatre. It’s up on the top floor of a building with the theaters all spread out on the floor. It was nice and clean with good picture quality.
My poor rating has more to do with how they destroyed the Century. Was a beautiful Opera house was a wonderful mall. Did they need escalators inwhitch destroyed the look . Anyway I learned the reality that people will do as they please. We only have the memories.
Love the films shown here! Regular theater, not the kind with reclining armchairs; stadium seating. Good popcorn, perhaps too wet with butter.
I was at the Landmark Theater to see the film on Aretha Franklin Amazing Grace it was fantastic it was all about her recording the album Amazing Grace I think everyone should go and see it the theater of course its very nice all of it people that she in the work that was very nice very gracious from showing you your seat at telling you where to go the people behind the counter selling the snacks
Recently went there to see the movie Wind River. Because of the way the screen was laid out I had to sit towards the middle in order to get a good view of the movie. Other than that, the movie was easy to view and the sound was crystal clear. The seat was relatively comfortable and I enjoyed an unobstructed view. Although I didnt buy any popcorn this time around, in the past I like to buy theirs because its a higher-quality popcorn than what you usually get at most theaters, its also fresh and best of all they give you a lot of it!
This is probably my favorite theater in Chicago. They do a good mix of popular new films as well as indie titles. It has always been pretty clean and comfortable in my experience. Bar is decent. Great location.
Gorgeous theater. Great film selection, fantastic projection and very comfortable seating. The food and drink options are great and reasonably priced as well. Excellent staff too. One of the best theaters in the city.
I love this theater. The arts movie selections are great, but most of all they have the best popcorn EVER!!! And they offer real butter. Im totally addicted.
Great seating. Saw the Irishman.
Best popcorn around!! Real butter used.. omg just the best!!
Decent theatre overall. The floor of the theatre itself either was ripped up, or just hasn’t been redone in a long, long time. Not a big deal, but just noticeable is all. Cool location, good selection of movies and show times. A Chicago staple.
It locates in a real good hood. But I do not know why they always choose a lot of minority films and indie films. You expected to see some amazing pictures and imagination on big screens, it would only give you something good but you would like to watch on TV.
I love this theater! A great bar area, friendly staff comfortable seating and great selection of movies! The exterior is quite interesting too architecturally significant!
Clean and well maintained theater. Nice selection of food and drinks.
Great place to watch a movie.
Theater seats are very comfortable and roomy. Nice bar to enjoy waiting for the film to stay and parking was easy and, once galliard by theater, affordable.
Good theater located on the top floors of the Century Mall with more independent-type movies and the occasional blockbuster (e.g. Avengers, Star Wars). Some theaters have been updated with reclining seats, but others still have regular movie theater seats. There is a bar for pre- / post- movie drinks.
I like the variety of movies played here. Staff are friendly. Seats are comfortable. It would be great place to bring a date or a group. Their is the a Bad Axe down stairs. Also Game night above that. And if you like Empanadas just down the street. Or Crepes at La Crepere down and across the street.
Cool theater in a fun part of the city!
I went there when the whole building was the Century Theater, one huge screen and loads of seats, one movie at a time. The last movie I saw there was Andromeda Strain. 1971 Then they demolished the inside and made the multiple screen thing. Then some years later they did that again. Updates etc. along the way and it got to the theater/mall it is now. It is loads better now. Parking is good. Good selection of movies. Nice remodel job.
