Great show put on by T-Murph, we laughed the whole night

Smart, funny, lots of laughs with this talent troupe! We were there for the premier of Hyde Top Fade and had a great time! Amazing that they can run through this fast-paced sketch comedy like they do. Nice intimate space and really appreciate seeing some young artists work their craft.

Fantastic place within easy walking distance of the Uchicago campus. I was there to see the Off-Off-campus, the student comedy club at the University, and they were absolutely fantastic. This location also sells alcohol and offers classes on improv comedy. Will definitely be back!

I took the improv 101 class here with Jeff Gandy and had a blast. Hes a great teacher. Also, John, the manager, is very respectful and accommodating. The Revival is a great place to catch a comedy show or take a class.

Great little theater space in Hyde Park! Today (Thanksgiving weekend) they had a magic show for family audiences starring Jan Rose and Benjamin Barnes. The place was packed with kids and their parents. Everyone had a terrific time. Definitely want to check out Their comedy club events for adults only on weekends.

Tiny but cozy place for improv comedy. They have a diverse and talented group of scientists from the University of Chicago in their improv troupe the excited state and they are pretty good. $10/ ticket.

I was at this theater yesterday, great performance form all the performers, but i felt a little left out. The host did not call me up at all. I noticed barley any African Americans were called on the stage especially African American women. Hopefully next time I go this want be the case, or better yet there will be a better host. If your a darker shade/ black just pay attention, the host discriminates.

I saw a preview show of Trigger last night. It was great. There are some super talented, impassioned artists here. The space is great, too, bringing me dreams of what it might have been like in the 1950s with the Compass Group in that very same space. The birth of improv and the continuing success, all happening in this spot. Amazing.

Celebrating a birthday weekend, WOW! what a fantastic addition to the evening. Dinner, dancing then on to The Revival in the party bus for the BEST COMEDIANS (and DJ Dolla Bill) WOW AGAIN!!!!. Steve Capers really knows how to put on a show. Everybody from my party still raving about the event. CANT WAIT for another show date.

I attended a work meeting here. Its a really beautiful facility and the food was great. I was very impressed.

Beautiful wedding reception venue! The place was transformed into a gorgeous fairy tale. The patio was great to add space to spread out.

Seems like it could be nice but its bias to African Americans. I was at the open Mic, and I signed up me ans about 7 other black people. Not one was called to the stage and for a fact 4 of us was the first people to sign up. Not blaming the Revival but the host was bias to darker people, not doing the open Mic again

Nice cozy intimate Comedy Club & Improv in beautiful Hyde Park. Drinks are a little pricey and not very strong depending on the bartender for the night, but you get an awesome comedy show for a very low price

Ive been taking improv classes at the revival for about five months now, and I couldnt be happier with choosing it over the second city! Its small, personal, and comfortable while still offering top notch comedy instruction from instructors with decades of comedy experience. To those considering taking improv classes, I highly recommend considering the revival over the other Chicago comedy powerhouses.

The comedians were good. I would recommend that you check it out.

First time at the Too Lit for Tv event..The show was very mediocre.The comedy skits werent really funny.Not suitable for a mature crowd.Waste of time and money!!! I seriously want a refund..

I have attended the Revival for a comedy show (adults only, in the evening) and my two boys (ages 10 and 12) take an improv class there on Saturday mornings. Both experiences have been wonderful. The adult comedy show started on time and the comics were hilarious (Brian Babylon and an opener whos name escapes me). The place is clean, nice looking (minimalist with exposed brick walls); small bar at the entrance (drinks were a little weak, my only complaint). The improv classes for kids have been a great experience my kids look forward to every week. The teacher keeps the class moving with fun improv games non stop for the entire hour. Revival has been incredibly accommodating of my older son who has learning differences. Overall, great spot and great addition to the community.

Nothing but good vibes here! I was luck enough to attend a wedding here this past summer and it was a perfect venue for such a joyous occasion.

Wow what can I say....lousy place, lousy service. Its dirty, nasty.... No customer service and now they have a poor show scheduled mocking the Presidents son..,horrible.

Worst little tin pot theater ive ever been too, rude staff, uncomfortable seating and genraly a bad experience

Sad to say the Friday once every month the first is no longer happening but when I did go they had local comedians or people for the first time who want to try to be a comedian come on stage and see if they can move the crowd said that this is no longer going on it was only $5 and it helped people who had stage fright that have it anymore
