Entertaining, yes. Is it a comedy show, not so much. Batsu is a one of a kind experience. It is something I would say try at least once, but it isn’t something that I could attend multiple times a year. Most seats are good seats, though the night I went there were multiple big groups and they were given the preference of closer to the stage and more center. At a glance it looked like they shoved the couples/people who went in groups of twos, off to the side. My best friend and I disliked our seats. Also when booking they do say first come is first served which led us to believe we would get ‘first dibs’ or better seating, but we did not. It seemed like there was already a seating chart. Another downfall is that they don’t give you the full menu but a table next to us received it upon request. That kind of ruined our mood a little bit. So one suggestion I would give is to plan ahead and eat downstairs at the restaurant before the show and then just grab drinks during the show.Food tasted great, the participants of the show did a awesome job.

This was recommended by a friend of mine who has the best taste in fun things to do in Chicago. I had totally forgotten about this place for like 6 months when suddenly I had to find something to do with visitors. I got six tickets and didnt read into what was going to happen, which I think was the best. It was such a surprise of high energy puns and campy gags that even my friend who gets squeamish around losing found it enjoyable. Would do again with a new group of friends!

Really fun experience! Just not worth it to get the headband for saki shots. There was only one ninja running around for the whole venue and I only got three shots of saki. Makes more sense to spend that money on a cocktail!

Had us well liquored up, full of delicious food, and in stitches the whole time. Great evening, will be back and recommend it to my friends :). Recommend getting there early to get a great seat. I dont think anyone in the audience had a bad time :)

We got there early... didnt see our waiter until we complained. Then they brought out my food at 9:20pm...and the show ended at 930. Service-terrible. Food-I could have made better at home. We were sold unlimited beer head bands were was an absolute lie. Here for my little brothers bachelor party dinner. No one in audience had been there twice...now we know why. Worthless. We ate at McDonalds and got better service and better food and it only took them 4 minutes. Two managers couldnt make this right. We will never go back and will let others know to avoid this restaurant and show.

Terrible terrible terrible! Do not go to this show. They ask you to arrive 45 minutes early so you can order. Then they ignore you for 45 minutes until the show starts. Then you have to chase the server down to get your order in. 60 minutes later, they may bring out 1 or 2 dishes. By the end if the terrible show, theyll bring you a bill for items that never showed up. Then the manager will argue with you about how he doesnt have any control over what happens in his restaurant. Then he will offer you a 20% discount in hopes that you will stop calling out his terrible management. Pathetic.Save your time and money and visit one of the hundreds of other restaurants worthy of your hard earned cash!

Fun and interactive. Would definitely hold an event here in the future.
