The CofC is a beautiful area but not an actual college campus. There are buildings in the middle of a busy downtown area like puzzles pieces that are scattered. So college students are amongst the public interacting. There are tons of places to eat but most college students cant afford the luxury, but its nice to know just in case. The College is a bit pricey and things need to be updated in rooms and better cleaned for the amount of money students have to pay on little scholarship money. I like that they have a shuttle to take kids to classes if they choose. However, I do not like that some students are visiting other students in a few dorms during this pandemic. They must do better before things get out of control.
The Cistern at the College of Charleston is one of my favorite open and green spaces in the city. I like that it is in the middle of everything, but still a little more relaxed due to the wall around it that closes it off. This is a good place to have a sit, picnic, get some fresh air, or get some work done. You can feel all of the history and centuries surrounding you here.
Gorgeous place! Loved walking though!
Its a cool place to hang out and read a book or even take pictures.
Great history museum for Charleston. Not to big but not to small. A great place to visit while in Downtown. Definitely a must when visiting the Holy City.
The whole scene in down town Charleston sc is so beautiful. Its campuses, architecture and green space blending together and overall planed and executed perfectly. I love South Carolina
Its pretty
Beautiful spot for pictures and they decorate for the holidays. They have a handicap accessible ramp which helps. Love the feel as this old college
Sweet grass basket artists were wonderful, especially Ophelia! Unexpected surprises in local food snacks and condiments. Some jewelry sellers not very interesting or original or artistic, and t shirts? In general, very nice experience. Was nice to see dogs, whether truly allowed or not, enjoying the market, too! Market very clean and easy to just stroll through.
This place is beautiful and I am so excited to see our daughter graduate there.
A very beautiful place. It is part of a really amazing college that I will be attending this Fall. Its the perfect place to go if you want to see the beauty of old oak trees and the beauty of old architecture. There are a lot of small shops around this area that make it a must see place if you are ever in the area.
Very nice but at what cost? Just look around the inside of one of the older dorms to see where the money SHOULD go.
Our daughter attends CofC, we visit at least once a month. Since we are fairly familiar with the area parking is easy and we walk most everywhere! The campus has a friendly, historic, easily negtiable vibe. The atmosphere is gorgeous and the students are polite. Today we visited the battery as well as the Old Charleston Jail. We were unable to take the guided tour of the old jail, but hope to do so in the future
Lovely area with lots of seating if youre looking to hang out. Dont cross the cistern!
It really cool
This is a chill spot to sit and read and enjoy the weather! Its beautiful and has a good vide. But beware, bring bug spray!
The College of Charleston is just a beautiful and peaceful place. So much diversity and culture in one place.
Big tables and a starbucks. Great place to study

All good!
Interesting place despite its history. Things are slightly different now but traces yet remain. Physically its a stunning sight. Metaphorically, the stain is not erased.
Gorgeous night for looking at the stars and viewing CoC demo night!
I work there it is a nice peaceful place to have events
Beautiful place at the heart of the College of Charleston campus. On a nice day, the entire center of the campus is worth exploring. Its hard to believe its a college. Im not sure Id ever make it to class.
Beautiful historic architecture in a lovely, park like setting. And right smack in the middle of downtown Charleston! Perfect for a lazy afternoon under the oaks.
Beautiful center of the College of Charleston, very Charlestonesque in character. Spoleto Festival uses it for concerts, although prepare for modern music to be too loud.....
Holiday light show set to music, nice buildings.
I enjoy going there I had a very good experience with all the staff

Beautiful space year round. Historic green space on the College of Charleston campus. Great pleace to relax and read or study, wonderful concert venue, beautiful light display during the holidays. Its the heart of CofC.
From the Cistern you can see historic Randolph Hall and buildings seen in the movies The Patriot and The Notebook. But my favorite thing is to linger under the old and beautiful Live Oak trees.
Wonderful place for concerts. Also a perfect place to stroll through.
