Great park to explore the Charleston water front! The views from the pier are amazing! You get to see the famous bridge, aircraft carrier, sailboats and dolphin to boot! Swings are strategically place along the pier and plenty of seating. At the entrance there is a fountain for the kids to cool off in if so desired, we seen some big kids in it as well. Best of all it is one of the many free activities to do with family while in Charleston! ️

Nice park in downtown Charleston with a couple fountains and boardwalk. Places to sit on benches and grassy fields. Saw a half dozen weddings around here on a pleasant Saturday. Pier with large porch-style swings here as well. A few aggressive hawkers here but not obnoxious. Just selling their wares along the pier and striking up conversation.Worth a stop as you tour the city or a nice spot to stop and rest with a picnic.

Downtown Charleston S C is such a pretty, lovely and charming place. It is definitely worth visiting. This Downtown is loaded with Art Galleries, fine restaurants and cafes . The charming old homes are so pretty and the cobblestone streets give the visitor a good impression of the past. I dont want to say to many nice things about Charleston SC because everybody will start thinking about moving here. Please dont. Stay where you are. Please do come and visit and enjoy the most delicious southern food. There is water all over the place for all of your water activities. Come, visit, leave your dollars here and go home. Take with you the most wonderful memories from a town that also appreciate visitors of all kind. I am a world traveler an I cannot stay here but this will definitely be my retirement home.

There are plenty of places to sit and watch nature. We even got to see dolphins while sitting on the dock area. Hands down one of my favorite locations in Charleston, SC!! Waterfront swinging benches are nice. Boardwalk is good. But there are strange creatures. Charleston has had an uptick in homelessness, it seems, and unfortunately, we encountered a homeless man who scared our toddler and creepily followed us. I was a bit disappointed, because Im glad to stop and help out, but not if thats how we are encountered. In downtown Charleston, a similar situation happened. We even stopped and listened to the man, who ranted off about having diabetes and something more I couldnt understand. I told him we didnt have cash on us but actually planned to go into the cafe right on that block. We asked if he would like to join, or if I can pick something up for him. I just dont have cash. He flipped out on us and got angry. How does thst make sense? Can I help you or do you just want to be angry at me?I was trying. But I guess you really didnt want any help after all.Its worsened quite a bit in Charleston city and the waterfront.

Very fun/cool spot. I loved the 4 different memorial plaques with a different map of the city of Charleston each century since being colonized!
