We love this place, the kids like to feed the ducks and have a picnic by the water. The park offers a large walk path/trail to enjoy. Really beautiful scenery & waterfall. Benches throughout the park to sit & rest or for enjoyment of the scenery. Not a lot of tree shade throughout the trail so hats/umbrellas would be ideal and sunscreen might come in handy too, specially for hot summer days. Catch & release on lake is available at this place. Paths are pretty smooth.

This was a great little escape in the city. Trails that make you feel like you are walking in the wilderness miles from civilization! Marsh areas were full of various ducks and birds.

Saw this park on a hiking app and figured it was close so why not check it out. Went on a Saturday to walk around the lake and out further on the trails. Lake was dirty with trash floating near the shore. The rest of the natural lakes were pretty much dried up. The little running river was cool to see. Located on the east side of main lake. Also came across a coyote while walking the other trails in the park.

Such a cute area to walk around or have a get together with family. Theres beautiful sceneries to take pictures. I took maternity photos here last weekend and they came out so beautiful!

This park is so nice and clean. I always feel safe here as a police station is within sight of park. I like to fish here, as it is peaceful.

Very cool park. Very cool water view and desert landscape. A nice trail and water stream in the back. We spotted a huge jack rabbit! Great spots for fishing also!

Well maintained and nice relaxing walking, biking and running trails. Good for kids and adults. Canoeing available on the small centerpiece lake.

Its too bad that many dog owners apparently do not carry bags or pick up after their dogs. Maybe it would help to install bag stands. Its a great park, but you unfortunately have to watch your step.

Beautiful park! I’m a photographer and LOVE this place due to the variety of landscapes! Lots of pretty trails, fun water area where you can see ducks and lots of different birds, as well as an incredible janitorial staff!The first time I came I lost my wallet in the bathroom. We turned around in our car after realizing this and the janitor had kept it for us. We offered him a $100 in it, but he refused.I’ve always loved this park!

Get walking trails even for a wheelchair it would be no problem. Very few people wearing masks. I know its outdoors but people blocking sidewalks no social distancing available at times. Very busy for a late Sunday afternoon.

Really nice community park with a very natural looking lake and flowing water. Well maintained by the city of Chandler with informational signs throughout.

It’s very beneficial to utilize this park just 5 minutes away from my house. We barely got here to have a walk & running every day and extremely enjoyed the nature-oriented wildlife. While walking, you can see all aspects of green and exhibits, great amounts of wide birds and group of rabbits. All facilities here are user-friendly and thoughtful thoughts. We never saw a public park like this scale and well-organized. Totally relaxing and comfortable.

Veterans Oasis Park is an awesome little park to see in the middle of town and still feel like your out in nature.We found a lot of families with small children walking along the bank of the lake discovering local wildlife and you can see the fish around the edges of the lake.They have archery in designated areas, fishing that includes large mouth Bass, Sun Fish, Catfish Trout and a couple others in the lake.Its not anywhere nice as truly being out in nature on your own but its only a 10 minute drive for parts of Gilbert and Chandler and its safe for small children if you watch them.They allow dogs on a leash and provide bags for waste.This was just the what I needed to get grounded and hear the sounds of nature.Check it out and leave a comment on what you thought about it.

This park is beautiful and has great easier trails to walk and view Arizona wildlife. It has quickly become a place I frequent with my family and dog to get outside. This is a fantastic place to view a variety of wildlife including a lot of bird species. Check with the visitor center for activities and events that will occur as well as an inside animal viewing. There is a small shop with local brands and locally appropriate books. We love this clean and beautiful park.

Great place to walk or stroll around the lake for a calming exercise. Clean areas to picnic. Picnic areas have tables to sit at scattered throughout the park. There is public fishing where you can fish for several different species of fish as long as you have a fishing license. On site there are public restrooms near the environmental building at the entrance of the park. We arrived early evening and even as it progressed into dark, people were still fishing. I am unaware of the closing and opening time for the park at this time. There were a variety of persons at the park, both young and old who appeared to come there often and enjoy the outdoor environment. It was a bit of a drive to get there but it was a relaxing evening getaway spot for the evening.

Clean quick paved walk around a beautiful man made lake. Filled with reclaimed water. Great for bird watching, fishing, and relaxing. There are additional unpaved trails throughout. It also has a really cool water feature. Saved this spot on my google maps. Has bathrooms, plenty of picnic tables, benches, and a couple of pavilions.

Very beautiful park and I highly recommend going here. They have places to sit down and have a picnic. They have a nice lake and sprinklers. And they have cute surprise waterfalls that make great for photography!

I absolutely love this park. I always bring friends here and as a photographer I love taking clients to do photo sessions at this location. In addition, I will go hiking and jogging around the lake. Definitely recommend

I love this park. It’s incredibly soothing to walk the long nature corridors. There’s plenty of animal sightings. I take my dogs here, but watch out for the cacti.It’s always a great time at Veterans oasis. My only suggestion is more garbage clean-up.

Beautiful place. There are trails a little stream. I must say though the lake is not bumping with fish. For being stocked there is hardly any. Maybe it’s over fished but when talking to other anglers it’s seems under stocked.

I love it. I go to a park almost every weekend for some mindful breathing and walking. This is one of my favorite ones, especially since its close to where I attend church. Just part of natures beauty.

Good spot for bringing the kids here for fishing. We experience a beautiful pink purple sunset. There were lots of hummingbirds and wild bunnies. You can come here for a leisure walk.

Its a good place for walking, strolling, picnicking or fishing. Its one of several Urban ponds around the Valley that are stocked for fishing, of course there are limits on the number of fish you can take.

Beautiful park! Theres a paved walk and a longer dirt path. The dirt path can get pretty dusty if you go with children who like to run around. We also saw a lot of rabbits while we were out which the kids all loved!

Beautiful and serene. The Park kind of invites you off trail to view the natural world. The landscape is remarkable and the Urban Fishing has very clear and beautiful water. Catfish, LargeMouth, Sunfish, Rainbow Trout.

I love going here. You get to escape the city without actually leaving the city.

This will be a nice spot. Went to go take some pictures and found out all the grass was being torn up to redo I believe.People need to be more polite and respectful though. We were taken pictures at the waterfall and these donkeys (two couples) moved our camera bags and stands while I was taking photos. Then they bumped into me. Seriously!

This is a very nice park. We got there pretty late in the day, just in time for the sunset. Nice natural environment, wide paved walkways. Plenty of parking, but I could see it getting crowded (we were there on a Thursday). Would certainly go back again.The only problem was that SOOO many dog owners dont pick up after their dog. Ready for some fresh air, but there were places where that was all you could smell. Wanting to look at the gorgeous view but you had to watch every step you took. What a shame.

Beautiful place to walk- we are new to the area so it was a great place to discover! There is also a lake to fish in and several activities are also held here.

They have let the park good and it is not kept up and there was alot of trash laying around. So sad it was a very pretty place to relax.

A decent relaxing family friendly area in Chandler. This park provides for some community fishing, has shelter/ bench areas. Theres one main lake.I visited to see how this location was for birding and photography. The area provides decent backdrops for portrait photography, but is not great for birders or wildlife Photography.I went both away night and day for comparison.You may catch a few burrowing owls per signage, and of course bunnies and squirrels, at night some wild hare, and a small variety of birds throughout the day, but not like other locations.I didnt feel secure in the area after dark in the area with the open desert and grassy foliage.The area proves for great sunset shots and of the San Tan Mountains.

Lovely park with many trails and features. You could walk for hours and not get bored. Pokestop galore and 3 gyms will keep you entertained. Or you could just enjoy the abundant desert wildlife. Plenty of sitting areas. Live entertainment Thursday evenings and variety of other events.

Its an amazing place and a great spot for mountain biking, especially if you take the rabbit trails or start on the top and cruise down on the gravel paths.

Its the perfect place for beginners to try a short hike or the perfect dog walk. There is a variety of local flora and fauna for all. Fishing is popular with a well stocked fishing area. The visitors center is awesome as well. Bathroom are clean and abundant.

This park is really unique. It offers waking/hiking paths, fishing, covered patios, bird watching and really awesome photo opportunities. There is a really nice waterfall installation. During the cooler months they stock catfish and trout.

Whats not to love. A great place to hike, picnic, fish and just overall enjoy the outdoors without having to drive outside the city to find some wide open space.

Great place to walk with the dogs. Both paved and unpaved trails with the outside loop being long enough to get in needed steps without too many laps. Wonderfully maintained. Parking is ample even when busy. You can also bike on the outside trails as theyre pretty wide.

Super fun park to play at. We saw tons of bunnies! There’s a large pond to fish in and many paved trails to explore. Highly recommend as a place to take a walk or take pictures. There even happened to be a free outdoor concert the evening I went. What a beautiful place!

This really is an oasis in the desert. Stocked fishing pond, stream. Hiking, biking and walking trails and picnic areas. Public bathrooms and water fountains.

Really lovely grown up park. Great place to just stroll around and unwind. If fishing is your thing, its a great spur of the moment place without the hassle of planning, packing, and paying to park.

I love to walk my dog here. Its has lots of views while you walkPavement around the lake. Pretty even gritty sand on the trails. Plenty of native flora and fauna. Truly an oasis in suburbia.

Water oasis for fishing; the grounds are well kept and there is ample parking. I was there on a Thursday evening for a free concert in the park. Nice/small neighborhood crowd — a mix of families with small children, seniors, and couples.

Its actually a very large park. Wide paths that bikers and pedestrians can share, fishing spots, and lots of desert wildlife.It was a great place to relax and enjoy nature for a couple of hours. If you like breathing in some fresh air and enjoying a nice walk, I strongly recommend.

Found this gem a year ago. always drove by and wondered what veterans was, so I finally stopped to check it out. at first I thought it was just the ponds and the water fall, but was so much more than that! you could spend the half the day maybe the whole day walking the entire park! its so beautiful, relaxing, lots of wildlife around you. what I like the most is they have orange and grapefuit trees that you can pick from! love the atmosphere and vibes this park gives off

A favorite place since 2008, the trees have really filled in nicely. Awesome gravel trails for a short bike ride.

Beautiful but there is no playground

Been jogging around here several times now on the trails behind the main fishing lake and makes for a nice 1.5 mile or so trail loop. Great area for walking with the family and see tons of bunnies throughout. Have not tried to fish but good to get out of the house and walk around.

Great place for a nature hike with little kids and a double stroller. I loved how it wasnt all level ground, there are hills, lakes, and nature to explore so it feels like a little hike in the desert. The kids loved it, ages 2-8 years.

Alot of nature, and makes a good running trail.

Today we saw baby birds and flowers in bloom and lizards and bunnies and vilunteers improving the park.

Such a beautiful park. It is big enough so that even if its busy, you still hardly see anyone. Great for a walk, or fishing if thats more of your thing. Had not been in awhile but will definitely return now that I remember how wonderful it is!

Great suburban nature park with a small lake. Numerous bird species and lake is stocked with fish to catch and keep; fishing license required. Also includes a small nature center with classrooms and a little store. Well worth a visit.

This place is HUGE! I walked my dog here for a couple hours and we could have gone for longer and seen more. There’s lots of rabbits and jackrabbits to see here. A lot of people fish here since they stock the lake. There’s a lot of picnic tables. It’s really pretty and well maintained.

Its a great easy walk around the lake. Lots of birds and sometimes baby fish in the pond. And in the morning there are rabbits. Lots of areas to sit and relax. Great for taking family photos. The waterfall is especially pretty at sunset.

It is a very beautiful place with a lot of natural scenery and many different types of birds.

I love fishing, and hiking around the lake. It has a nature building you can check out with clean restrooms as well. The park is always clean, but doesnt have playground equipment for kids.

One of our fav go-to places to walk and bring the dog when were in-state for the winter months. The education center is neat and interesting. Always lots of cotton-tail rabbits, black-tailed jack rabbits, numerous bird species and plenty of geese and ducks.
