Course was in great condition. The greens were a little slow due to reseeding. We knew this ahead of time and they are pretty much almost done. Still consistent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have some nice shirts and hats in the pro shop. Range balls are included with the tee time.We saw the cart girl 4 times and the Marshall 2 times. One random guy was just driving around telling people his medical history. He had knee surgery, back surgery, hip surgery and a cist removed. He didnt work at the course. I think he just pays to play and talk to people. It was wild. Lol.....Overall, great day and we cannot wait to play there again.

Both courses are extremely fun to play. The grounds are well maintained and have always been in excellent condition.

Fairways were in excellent condition as were the bunker. The course had ranger making sure speed of play was being kept up. Even though it was 110 degrees

We played the Devils Claw course. Great looking course with tiny fairways. The greens were super tough to read and the sand bunkers are gnarly!

Superior practice facility, laid back atmosphere. Course condition is very good and balls roll true on the green. Interesting and scenic layout.

I have now played here several times. I love how relaxing both courses are with no homes on them. They are wide open and easy to play courses. The practice area is great and I love the wings in the bar.

Great course, you get what you pay for here. Green, well kept grass. If you plan on playing until around sunset, factor in playing 30 mins less as the mountains cut the sun off really quickly and it gets dark faster than what sunset is

The course is always in good shape. The dynamic pricing model isnt the greatest approach.

We used our troon twosome pass and loved the course. I will definitely come back here again. The food in the bar was fantastic as well.

Top quality golf course that is well worth the drive about 20 minutes from middle of city. Course is challenging si high handicappers & beginners are not encouraged to play this course. This course has severe brush adjacent to most fairways which even good golfers will lose a couple of balls.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. I signed up for the summer deal to play great golf all summer for $700. What a rip off! Courses in terrible shape and no available tee times available in the mornings because of the 2!day booking window. I feel a so cheated please please never play here!

Two great courses and very easy / comfortable to play. I love the food in the bar / restaurant as well.

Slow, long grass on greens. They hold themselves out as a championship course, and charged $100+ green fees. The greens were horrible, not close to champion caliber. The grass was 3-4 times longer than normal, putts rolling about 6-7 Stimp. At no time did any employee inform me in the reservation process the greens would be this slow. I would not have played here if they did.

Great shape

In today s course, there was an accident where a beverage cart was overturned and a female driver was laid under the cart. My friend and I lifted the cart, called 911 to catch the incident, and the other player called the golf course office and announced the news. After that, there were only two employees, but they did not ask for the situation at the time of the accident and did not say thank you to the customers who helped. My friend and I ran as soon as we saw the cart fall. My friend, who was a bit uncomfortable with the legs, ran with me. However, the employee walked off the cart slowly to the scene of the accident, and his facial expression was full of irritation. Anyone who enjoys golf can suffer injuries or accidents. At the golf course here, I think I should probably think I can die.

Great golf course views but while my foursome and I were going a guy came up to us to ask us to pick up the pace but there was no one behind us, we were pretty fast since we were playing scramble. Its an expensive golf course but not worth it because of bad customer service. I rather golf at the Raven, or The Legacy or even the Biltmore, way better attitude from the staff.

Course was in good shape especially considering the heat. Tees were immaculate. Greens putted well and held approach shots. Staff was nice and approachable.

Beautiful desert-style course. Well maintained fairways & greens. Electric carts have built in GPS and you are supplied with a cup, ice in a cooler and clean towels. Concrete cart path. Course layout is not too challenging & has a variety of tee boxes (ie, hole distances) to choose from.

Heard so many good things about the course.. I was so excited to finally go but was disappointed by the course conditions. It was pricey to golf (even in the summer). It is super hot out and all of the water jugs were empty on the course.

The Course was beautiful! The employs were all ready to help you in any way they could. Was a pleasure to play. But not easy.

Be careful here, they changed the price on our group when i added 2 more players, went from a foursome to 6 players and they increased our price by $15 per player! Better value at other area courses so I wont be coming back here. Just doesnt make good business sense.

Fantastic hidden gem!! 2 courses Cattail a bit longer and harder then Devilsclaw a bit shorter and easier. Both courses are in immaculate shape from tee to green. The staff is among the best I encountered in the valley and 45.00 greens fees in the summer is almost like stealing.

I was thoroughly impressed with the property, both courses were in excellent shape. The staff was very friendly and the price was unbelievable . I have played several courses in the Scottsdale Phoenix area these two have become my new favorite. I will definitely play again and I encourage others to play for the price they are a must play...

Both 18 hole courses Devils claw and Cat Tail were beautiful and played very well! Our group slightly preferred Cat tail, the fairways felt a bit wider. Amazing views from every hole

A great desert course with unobstructed views. This is a great resort style course with generous fairways and challenging greens. A Troon managed course and I think they do an excellent job keeping it in top shape. One thing I love about this course is that they didnt line the fairways with homes which, for me, really destroys the atmosphere of the course. I really feel like Im getting away from the stress of the work week when I play here. Johnson Ranch, Gold Canyon were all gorgeous courses that dropped a level in my book because they flooded the course with homes.

Top Notch Course from the Range and Pro Shop to the Bar & Grill and Course itself. Five Star Everything. Loved this place. Highly recommended

Really hard course being my first gif tournament but a heck of a good time

If you love feeling like youre doing the staff a favor by showing up, this is the place for you. Do yourself a favor and book a different course that wont ping pong your tee time around (literally) 5 times. Theres plenty to choose from around the valley that also dont book obscenely loud drag races right next to the course.

The scenery is out of this world. And wild life incounters are not uncommon.petting zoo friends include: rattle snakes, bob cats, coyotes, and everything under the sun. Love it!

OUR GROUP OF THREE FOURSOMES TEED OF AT 8:06 AND WE DID NOT SEE THE BEVERAGE CART UNTIL @ 10 AM. WE MADE REPEATED CALLS TO THE PRO SHOP FOR SERVICE AS WE HAD NOTHING TO DRINK FOR 9 HOLES AND HAD MADE NUMEROUS REQUEST FOR THE COURSE MARSHALL TO FIND OUT WHY THERE WAS NO BEVERAGE SERVICE ON THE FRONT NINE HOLES. WHEN THE BEVERAGE CART FINALLY SHOWED UP, WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE OUT OF BUD LIGHT. THIS WAS PART OF ONEILL MECHANICAL SERVICE, INC.S ANNUAL COMPANY CHRISTMAS PARTY. THE ONEILL FAMILY SPENT OVER $30,000.00 FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES AND GUEST TO ENJOY THE WEEKEND AT THE RESORT AND THIS GOLF COURSE SERVICE WAS A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. VERY BEAUTIFUL COURSE... Our tee time was delayed one hour because they were so behind. Then when we came back at the time they told us, they already sent out the other golfers because we werent there in front of them waiting and they only had a single employee overseeing groups in high season and werent able to check the club house. Unbelievable. They need to staff appropriately for the season and install a better system in the event they get behind, which is likely given what we experienced. 15-20 minutes I find acceptable, but an hour is ridiculous. They didnt even offer a discount or free drink or even one apology as consolation. Bad customer service is what this sums up to in the end. We have golfed many many courses in the Phoenix area and this by far is the worst experience we have ever had.
