Course in rough shape. Disappointing. Too much soggy ground, mud in places. Bird droppings are thick . Grass clippings all over the greens. This property is getting worse. Stick to weddings and corporate scrambles or maintain the golf course. Too bad, it is a beautiful setting. Golfers need to repair divots, greens are all pitted out. One last thing, littered tee boxes that are all chewed up.

Played today (7/21/20) and the course is in terrible shape.This time of year the turf should be perfect. Most of the fairways are dirt and mud. The traps have puddles of water with no sand...all mud. Didn’t see the beverage cart until the 18th tee boxThis used to be a great course without a blade of grass not perfectly manicured but this round was a shocker. Not recommended at all.What happened? Turned into a goat track.

If i could give zero stars I would. Okay so I arrive 20 minutes before my tee time and as I am putting and chipping around I see my friend is getting ready to go to the first tee box. I saw that they only had three at the time so I go and ask the pro shop if I can join them. They said no so I didn’t mind but when I was up to tee off the three guys I was paired with wanted their buddy who had a later tee time join them. I was not happy about it but the Marshall (young kid with clip board) said I can go off as a single. I went off as a single and then I get approached by another Marshall on hole 2. He tells me I’m not allowed to be a single but I told him that I was told by the other Marshall it was fine. I asked for a refund. I get to the pro shop and as I’m getting my refund I told the head pro shop guy that I was told I couldn’t join my friend but you made an exception for other people. Then I told him that I was told it was alright to go out at as a single. He went on to say “no one would ever tell you to go as a single” and I had my girlfriend with me as we told him that was not true. He tried to make it sound like we were lying about it and he had an I don’t give a F*** attitude and continued to say that they would never say that. This place is always so disorganized, rude, and so unprofessional.

Usually always in good shape. Club house is nice and the staff are friendly. Overall great day of golf anytime of the year.

Played November 12 & 13, course was in terrible condition, grass clippings all over the greens and the course, course way over watered, it was like playing in a marsh, greens were horrible, ball marks everywhere, none repaired, very disappointed, will not come back!!

Very nice and well kept coarse. Greens were just plugged so they were a little scruffy still but overall a great experience!

Great wedding venue. The staff was very attentive. Plenty of up to date options for decor. Large banquet area with still intimate feel. Beautiful areas to take pictures with bridal party. Excellent parking for guests. Good menu and food options that were very tasty?

Course was in great shape. Reasonable price for the season. Staff were helpful. And an added bonus was that I only lost 2 balls in the water and considering the abundance of water that was amazing. Would definitely return.

I had a chance to work at Wedgwood Wedding Ocotillo located at the Ocotillo Golf Resort!The staff is very nice and helpful! Natalia and Rizalde were very professional and nice. They helped us a lot by constantly coordinating through the wedding.The venue itself is very beautiful!! The bridal suite is big and well designed! The outdoor ceremony area is gorgeous and the reception ballrooms are huge!

Really fun round, have to play a lot of different shots off the tee it’s not just a bomb a driver course. Over all in great shape a few greens has some dead/over watered spots on the edges. The course played extremely soft so it was gettable!

Interesting course, even though on flat land. The houses and significant water features around the course give it good shape - the houses are set well back so never feel intrusive. Some tricky greens and good bunkering. Staff were friendly - outrageously priced diet coke in a cup of ice from the restaurant otherwise a really great experience.

A good course in great shape

I recently played Ocotillo again (Blue/White) after not being here for a fairly long time. I forgot how much I missed it. The layout os fairly open, with a ton of water, but still very pRange is being renovated and looks like it will be very nice when it is done. They still let you hit balls, they are just installing some great turf for the back area to help reduce wear, I would guess.Fairways and tees were in good shape, a bit wet maybe, but this time of year it is nice to see. The greens were exceptional, soft, but firm enough to provide a great putting experience. Not super fast, 10ish or so...but just a solid, true roll and if you are decent, you are hitting some wedges that back up.Food at the turn was good and the beverage cart attendant was pleasant. We saw her a bunch of times, even though she was covering all 27 holes.I have nothing negative to say about the experience, except that the course is almost an hour from my house, so not an option for me all that often. But I hope to make it a monthly thing!Kudos to the staff and grounds crew, great job in a tough time of year!

Fun course(s)! The facilities are second to none, and almost all 27 holes have water interlaced throughout the fairways and approaches, which forces you to play smart/target golf...5w is probably your best friend here more so than the big stick or 3w. Oh, also, the sunsets are nice ;)

Tried to play here last week. Plenty of open tee times from 230-4pm. I walked in at 3 and was told I’d have to wait until after 4pm because leagues were starting. That’s fine, but don’t list you have available tee times, block them off or start the league at 4 like it’s supposed to. Won’t come back, plenty of other better courses in the valley to play.

This is a cool golf club for all ages! The food and service was great!!!

Course isnt bad. Not the best shape, but it is August. Heard the starter tell someone to go back to where you came from. Obviously racist. Tried speaking to the manager, he brushed me off. Conlee, the cart girl was mortified by the starters comments. First and last time Ill golf there. Plenty of courses in that area that are cheaper and better maintained without the racism.

19 handicap. Played 12/3Course is in GREAT conditon, absolutley beautiful.Staff was very very nice from the carts to the pro shop, staff on the course were very nice and kept pace very fast. Only course Ive played in the last month where I didnt have to wait to tee off. Lots of water, so be prepared to lose a few balls, despite any bad shot I hit I was still smiling after every shot. Amazing course, great staff, good pricing. 10/10 couldnt reccomend enough, definitely going to be back.

The guys at the clubhouse know their stuff and are super friendly. I always wish I have more time when I stop in, because theyre always willing to chill and shoot the breeze with me. Their suggestions on golfing accessories has never failed me.

Greens extremely slow. Played gold course on the back and it was a mess. Im guessing it would be a better experience during a different time of the year.

One of the best and greenest courses we played. Staff was great. Lots of holes with water. We left a rocky dried out course to play Ocotillo again. Really good value and replay rate. Never saw a boat on the water the whole 2 days we played there? Guess it was too hot, upper 90s.

Sign in the pro shop stated roped off holes were cart path only. That might lead the reader to believe there might have been a couple holes roped off. We played Gold to Blue and almost 50% of each of the nine holes were fully roped or partially roped. We had two elderly players with us who had to drop a few holes so we didnt lag behind. The bunkers were a mess.

Play Ocotillo this weekend....it was an absolute dump. Since Mickelson and OB Sports have taken over it has become a cesspool. It used to be in good shape, decent value and decent service. Not anymore. The most noticeable things: the course was just dirty - things/trash thrown everywhere, things in disrepair, dirty bathrooms, etc; you now have to pay extra for range ball; terrible service; no ranger to be seen to address POP; bunkers were hard as rock or full of sand/dirt that was too soft and caused plug balls; the tees look like they had not been cut in over a week; the greens even worse - just destroyed with pitch marks, etc; fairways with goose/coot poop and torn to shreds. Do not bother with this course, you can go many other places and get better everything!

I attended a special event at the Ocotillo Golf Club in Gilbert, it was a wedding ceremony & the wedding reception. The ceremony was conducted on the lawn in front of the lake and it was lovely. The reception was also very nice but the host told me privately that there were supposed to be heaters & there were none. It got a bit chilly on the outside during the cocktail hour. However the dinner was excellent, all the food was very good & nicely presented. There was plenty of it too. Recommended.

Called the pro shop to ask how much a bucket of range balls are, they let me know the price. Never tell me the range closes at 4 pm?(this is about 3:45) I show at 4:30 they tell me range is closed. No 9 hole rate just 18 hole rate. Sean at the front desk acted stuck up, really just ask questions.. happily will take my business to a better company.

Really good course. I was able to play it for very cheap in the summer and was happy with how green the course still was. Lots of water lining the fairways and greens which made it pretty difficult. Pick your shots carefully.

Terrific golf course for the money. With 27 holes, you can get around of 18 in, in less than four and a half hours. Fairways are solid as well as the greens. The staff is very helpful and you see the cart girl about every 3 or 4 holes.

The golf course itself was not bad except for slow greens. Challenging and fun to play. The service was horrible. Refreshment cart made an appearance on the 3rd hole and then disappeared. We tried to stop for food/drinks on the turn but were told to hurry up and keep moving. We phoned the club house on the 11th hole asking about the refreshment cart and got zero help. Finally saw the cart on the 14th hole and had to chase after it only to be told she was on her break. That didn’t go over so well and she decided to do us a favour and allow us to purchase food and drinks. Played on 03/26/19.

Challenging course in excellent shape

I had played here 6 years and the course was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. So i came back this year excited to play it again. The fairways were either muddy or patchy at various spots throughout. The bunkers had little or no sand in them. The greens were in great shape. Hope they can get back in shape.

Great course, decent value. Sean in the pro shop is terrible, talk to someone else for decent customer service.

Played late July, greens were in good shape, but the rest of the course was looking pretty rough. The tee boxes were being re-done, irrigation was recently complete so fairways were a bit rough too. Im hoping since Lefty and his investment team took over that the facilities will remain as good as Troon kept it. Greens are already better, so my hopes is that the remainder of the course will follow.

Very nice course, very reasonable green fees

Great overall course. Downsides--Lots of muddy spots on range. Clubhouse seemed more eager to take money and get people through the door and were impatient when asked questions. Pace of play was great on first 9, second 9 was terrible. 3 groups on 1 hole the entire second 9. Often 2 groups at the Tee waiting to play. Clubhouse didnt seem to care when called in to request a marshal to speed up play. Has lots of potential and a great layout. Just needs attention to detail to make the difference. Food was below average.

I got married here and the staff was great and very accommodating but for some reason we started late? Everything was ready to go they just didnt start on time and then pushed things to go a little faster the rest of the wedding. Still had a great time here!

It is an excellent course, when it is not abused. We found many divots and ball marks that were not repaired by previous golfers. The starter was informing golfers before hand but evidently no one cares.

Stellar Resort! The restaurant is amazing and so is the wait staff. They have beautiful conference rooms and a very nice hall where we had our company Holiday Luncheon! I wouldnt mind having my wedding here!

Great time, course was in great shape. Customer service was excellent. After round beer tasted mighty fine. Definitely would recommend to all.
