I would give it a zero if I could. Let me explain. My 7 yr old great niece had her party there last Sat evening at 5p . They pushed the party back 1 hour, over booked. No staff in game room to clean after each child played a game. Adults went in little cafe where there were under aged children serving beer to us. We were told if we didnt say anything, we got the beer for free. And we did. We waited 40 minutes just to get water for the kids. My niece and sister were told they dont provide cake for party, no decorations for party. She brought it all. Over priced. I would not suggest going here for the price. Go to the park, and rent a bounce, its cheaper.

This playroom was the best play spot I have taken my little children. It was so bright and clean. They have awesome coffee and food options. My other mom friends and I enjoy coming here and catching up over coffee while the little ones play. I have been to a couple of their private events, and they are so well done!

This is such an awesome place for kids!! Its literally a indoor tree house with tons of tunnels and places high up to explore. They also have an arcade and a cafe with good food and adult beverages. They have a great birthday party package and the location is easy to see from the road! What a great place to bring kids and let them run around and explore!

This is the funnest place ever! Great customer service, everyone was so helpful and friendly! They are doing great with sanitation and social distancing while still creating a fantastic experience. We are definitely going to be back on a regular basis! You can sign the waiver online ahead of time & their snack bar has an option of safe self service, Makutus island is so accommodating and convenient.

Such a fun place to bring the kids. Lots for them explore and play. This is a good value because there is no time limit like the trampoline parks.Pictures dont do the play space justice. There are cat walks and tunnels connecting everything so there is plenty to keep kids occupied.Parents can play too, but the spaces are tight for adults.

The Toddler Zone needs some serious updating: the foam cushions and padding look like someone just glued material really quickly, and its old and dirty. The wall with tunnels and holes was darkly lit, making it hard to see for the younger children. However the open upper level areas were well lit and roomy. Someone needs to closely inspect the equipment because there is bent plastic and warped decking.We hoped for a little more energy from the employee assigned to my grandsons birthday party. The kids liked the pizza and varied games.

It was, ok. Not really what I was expecting based off of the pictures. Definitely think it is over priced. It was recommended so we took our daughter there to check it out, but more than likely we wont go back.

Didnt try the food. Bathrooms were clean and adorable!

We always have a blast.The pizza is pretty terrible, the kids (3 and 6) wouldn’t even eat it and we ended up tossing the entire thing, but it won’t effect my rating as that’s not the point of the place.Can’t beat being in ac here, with WiFi, and your kids can run free for as long as they want. My sons birthday celebration for your playroom was quite enjoyable and satisfying. Besides, I thank the staff that entertained us at that time. They were very accommodating, helpful, and kind. Honestly, my son and the other kids truly have fun with each other while playing in the toys that were displayed there. If given a chance, we will surely come back. What a fun place (for kids between ages 5 and 12ish)! There is a small toddler zone but the young kids I know would be intimidated by the sheer size of the play gym! Its huge! And if they get scared inside the many tunnels, bridges, 2 story slides, etc, its going to take you a few minutes to get to them. Its impossible to keep your eyes on your child at all times once you let them climb up. My kids (7 and 11) had a great time. My daughter loved the zip line! The place is clean and well-maintained and the staff is friendly enough. The cafeterias prices are reasonable but they close an hour before the play area. BRING SOCKS, as they are required on the equipment! Admission is $14 for kids and adults are free. Get 10 free arcade tokens on Tuesdays (might be a limited time offer.) Great place to beat the summer heat!

We had a great time time for my sons birthday with his cousin :) The place is wonderful for kids of all ages to climb, zip line, slide, run, crawl, walk, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we ended up buying 2 shirts.I would have given 5 stars, but it was so hot in there and none of the fans were on. The kids need air in the tops of the trees and tunnels! Also, please lower the price for the bouncy trampoline thing. Cmon.

Been here multiple times already. Started visiting when my son was 2 and he loved it. He’s now turning 4 and we still come by. Great place for him to run around and climb things. They have slides as well but he’s not fond of those. I love that they have a separate dining area as well. The massage chairs are a plus

We took a group. The kids had a good time. The bathroom was clean. We did let staff know someone had a bloody nose in the bathroom and they took care of it right away. They have a cafe. You can buy pizza and snacks. There is a drinking fountain here. Its best to have your kids wear shirts with sleeves and long pants because they can get burned coming down the slides. Over all we had a good time there.

We had an alright time. The staff at the front counter were a little pushy trying to get us through as quick as possible. We spent a few hours climbing through the tunnels which were a pretty tight fit even for me and Im not big. My daughter and I had a good time and the staff serving food were more courtious and nice. Its a bit odd to not allow drinks past the dining area but they have a water fountain with a refill station but it doesnt refill water. We stayed in the play area cause im not a fan of the chuckee cheese games they have. If you plan to get a groupon dont buy it for the weekend. They dont accept them but they will price match so print the groupon and show them at the front.

Lively place to let a child run and play, small enough to sit and rest while the children release all that youthful energy.The space is compact but goes up about 3 stories with lots of places to explore and climb, theres a space set aside for little ones to play safely, and the big area has lots of room to run for the older kids. Lots of slides to find and hidden passageways, finding your way to and through the attraction is half the fun!We noticed a distinct urine smell in the bathrooms, besides that and a few non-working faucets the facility was well kept.The food was good, the staff was friendly (props to the front staff lady who single-handedly checked in about 20 parents and kids, let some kids and parents out, and was still smiling when we checked in 15 minutes later!) and well definitely visit Makutus Island again!

Quite an enjoyable place for all kids. There is a lot more playground built in than you cant see. Both play area for 3 and under and the main area for over 3. You can let your kids run here for hours and they wont be bored. Slides ramps ropes and more. Small fish tank adds a nice touch. Arcade is pay to play but all of the rest of the building is open with admission.

My family and I love this place, it is very nice, clean and neat. My kids enjoy being able to run freely and with out any problems. The pizza are excellent these are made from scratch and serve hot and ready at your table. I have to tell you that if you want your kids to blow steam off or just get them to exercise this is the place, also be ready to enjoy some good quality time with them since some of the slides on this place will allow you to ride with them. The price it is reasonable being that it is a indoor attraction and it has all the features that one needs to have a good relaxing day.

My grandsons 3rd Birthday party was here at 12:45pm on a Saturday ... and what a waste of $246! Now, where do I begin: 1) the concession area - majority of the tables were dirty and/or food left from other patrons. When I asked someone to clean up a table so we could sit and wait for our food. The lady immediately stated I cant move someones food I then replied that Im sure they are done but left the trash. She cleaned it. 2) the restroom - I go to the restroom and nearly vomited from the aroma of urine. The stalls had tissue and trash left on the floor. 3) Birthday party - our hostess (Stevie) young and with no ENERGY! The party guests nor Birthday boy were entertained because she had no enthusiasm to live up the party. When she asked the kids what type of pizza they wanted she was very rude with the question. END DECISION: we will utilize our financial resources for a facility that appreciates our business for next years birthday. It seems like this location is in a great need of a makeover from facility to staff. Seeing that its January maybe it can be done before the summer crowds![In the event that a Manager/Corporate decides to respond please refrain from asking what you couldve done better; and just DO IT! Because from looking at the previous reviews it appears that there hasnt been any change.]

A nice indoor playland for kids. Theres a designated toddler area and the rest is for bigger kids but you can still take your tot on the bigger kid stuff if you tag along. Its definitely a work out for parents. My daughter always has a good time here. Parents are free with kid ticket. Theres a parent lounge and eatery. They have birthday packages and an arcade. Things to do for the whole family.

It was nice place for my kids to run around and play for a couple hours. However, when we went to the cafe the cookies and donut holes were slightly burnt. We mentioned it to one of the workers and the response was, in a slightly rude tone, thats how it comes out of the oven, theres nothing we can do. Also, at least 6 of the tables in the cafe were still dirty from previous guests and no one was bothering to clean up. One of the other cafe workes did take our trash to the bins for us, and the kids had fun, thats the only reason for 3 stars and not 2.

Makutus Island is awesome! Recommended to anybody looking to have a BLAST! Targeted towards children but lets be honest, the adults can have just as much fun. First time there was for a birthday, then this last venture (trip 14 or 15) was just to stretch our legs. Anyway, 10/10 would recommended!Super Unicorn Dad Approved!

I came specifically to play the pinball machines. They are in great shape and are well located as best they can be away from playing children. I dont care for swiping a card to play pinball but thats just how it goes at an arcade with primarily ticket games.Its important to note that I had to sign up online to get a card that allows free entry for the arcade. Im not sure if you just randomly showed up if they would care and still just give you the card.

Most play areas are not for anyone under 5. Lots of adults just walking around drinking beers. Smaller than I expected. Took forever to get in. Staff not very helpful. Pizza not very good either. Eating area not cleaned very often. Pricing reasonable. But you dont really get much.

The food here is pretty good, for a childrens center. Also, the activities here range from toddler area, to arcade for your older kids. Its even fun for adults, if you can fit! I saw the staff cleaning as well and there is a sanitizer dispenser, which is very thoughtful.

Makutus Island is basically a large indoor playground. It has multiple levels, loads of stuff to climb and several slides. Theres plenty for kids to do. My 4 and 6 year olds loved it. They played for a couple hours until we had to leave to make it to another event. As a 6 foot tall 200lbs adult the equipment was not designed for me to be crawling around but if you are relatively limber you can follow your kids around the maze of walkways, ladders, and tunnels. There wasnt a section of the playground I couldnt get to. There is a section for little (less than 3 yrs old) kids. Theres food in a cafe portion of the building (I didnt try their food) and an arcade on the other side of the building but the majority of it is the indoor multi-level playground. The pricing is fair and the facilities are fun. But this place gets busy. We went on a Saturday and at first there was a bunch of people but it wasnt bad. By mid to late afternoon the place was packed. As it is with all playgrounds when they get packed kids get cut loose by their parents and rules get broken. Seeing kids climbing up the large slides only to get run into by the people coming down will inevitably cause injuries. Overall Id recommend Makutus Island and I will be coming back. But Ill avoid it on Saturday afternoons.

It was really fun. All the kids running around seemed to be having the time of their lives. Adults are allowed into the playground as well. As long as they take off their shoes and have socks on. The only forewarning is that it is crazy loud in there! But youre going to a place for kids so thats expected. We had a party there and the staff was helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Very cool experience!

I have to give this place 5 stars because my kids absolutely loved every minute they played here. Tons of things to climb on and a sample food court as well. This is a must try

The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because my kids had fun. We had a birthday party here and from the beginning to the end the staff was rude and completely disorganized. When we checked in the young girl checking us in was rude. She seemed bothered by my questions. Our party host, Harley, was very sweet. She was trying her absolute hardest to do a good job. After we ate, sang happy birthday and opened gifts we were chatting with our guests for maybe 10 minutes and a lady came in and said you guys have to leave now, we have other parties and we don’t have time for you to just hang out. Not once did someone before us ask us to leave or tell us we couldn’t “hang out”. We informed her we were waiting for our food to be boxed up and she said we’ll handle that in the kitchen. Never saw our leftover food, 2 pizzas and salad. It was also annoying that we still had to pay for people who didn’t show up. We had booked the 12 kid party but only had 7 kids show up, we still had to pay for the 12. And as a parent I understand that sometimes last minute things come up or kids get sick and you have to change your plans. Overall, we won’t be coming here again. Our party and experience was no where near the $440 we paid for it.

I took my grandchildren to the meet Elsa experience and they had such a wonderful time. They were so excited that Elsa played games with them and the photos were the best. Definitely will take them again.

Celebrated my girls birthdays here! Place is super awesome. Very cool giant tree house with tunnels and slides. A nice video game area. Snacks need improvement big time so I suggest to eat or snack prior to arriving since there is no re-entry.

Made this stop on vacation with our six year old. He enjoyed it. The bathrooms were messy, but one could over look that if staff wasnt going in and out of them and knew they were a mess. A big negative for the place is the lack of being able to see your child a majority of the time. Lots of blind spots for long periods. Overall, good concept...could be better.

My son had a birthday party here. It was nice, our host was helpful, there was a lot to do for the kids. However we had a lot of leftovers. They insisted on loading for us and when we left they overlooked half, but didnt really want to do anything reasonable to help resolve these issue. So thats concerning. He loved his party, so theyll get 4 stars. ***update... they sent free passes to compensate for the forgotten food which is very appreciated. Solid 4+***

One of the best parks I have ever seen in Arizona. There is so much for kids to see, and do. Its spacious, so they wont get bored. But...if you have more than one and they like to run, you need to bring another adult with you because there are plenty of places for them to hide or get lost. They love the train ride, and its not pricey. Its a long ride too! There are benches throughout the park, but its way more fun to play with the kids than watch. Feeding the ducks at the large pond is a kick. You can get great exercising walking around the entire park. There are Ramadas for parties or groups. The grass and landscaping need a bit of work, because there were pools of water which of course toddlers LOVE and which makes them wet most of the day. Still 5 stars because its basically Free, well-located right off the 101, and the kids love it.

Took my 7yr old and 3yr old nephews. No much to do for the 3yr old enough to entertain for a bit and they will like it but there is much more for the older kids. They have an aquarium area that has nothing in it but its no biggie with the play area for entertaining. It can get crowded but the kids enjoyed themselves. I would go here again.

Very entertaining fpr children 6 thru 12. They do have a toddler are which is off to the side but its very basic. The rest of the structure is amazing with lots of hide spots and climbing to do. Great placr to wind down kids.

Took my toddler a while to warm up to it but by the end he was going down the giant grey slide in the back corner.My infant took a tumble and cut his head on the base of the big tree, so I dont recommend you let the little ones play outside of the little kids area.Overall a lot of fun and we will be going back in a month or so.

This place is great for a little older kid. Its hard to climb the structure with your child, so they really need to be comfortable getting around by themselves, there is a 3 and under section however. They also have a small arcade too. All in all the kids had a great time.

We had alot of fun here today with our 2 year old grandson. Although the main slides were too tall for him, there was a separate toddler area and he enjoyed just running in and out of the intricate Makutu tree. Excellent time. Our only complaint is it was too stuffy and warm in the entire place. Running around it became uncomfortable.

We have been to Makutus Island many times in the past years. We recently heard they closed for refurbishment and reopened. We were excited to take our grandchildren there. Yes they have improved some but I was expecting a total refurbishment according to the news reports that said how much they spent. Our kids had fun and it was equal to the fun they experienced many years ago.

It is nice but they should leave bring food my little one doesnt like the food there.you will lost money if your children have 4 years under. For them there better places. This is hight and too much older children. The space for toddler have nothing to play.

My family loves this place! I have 4 kids aging 3-11 and there is plenty for each of them to do. They have a nice cafe area and are very decently priced. Always kept clean. They even have lockers for personal items.

I would not recommend this place for 5 and under. The staff was awful! No one seemed to want to be there and wasnt helpful at all. There was no direction on what was covered or where to go for anything (such as tokens, etc.) upon check-in. To me overpriced for what you get (again for the 5 and under group). No one was walking the floor for questions or help and no one ever at the bunjee area. The place was clean which was nice and I did like the wristbands being cut off so parents and kids were matched up before leaving. I brought my two and a half year old and nothing is marked so you have no idea whats a tunnel or slide and its so dark you dont know if kids are coming up or have cleared. Little kids could get hurt much easier and you could easily lose your younger kids there and thats with keeping a close eye. They do have a toddler area but they could add some more stuff for that age group - not much there. Overall, could be a fun place for older kids that you can let roam about and would know where to go if something happened. I recommend Party Jungle hands down for the younger kids!

Seems like a cool place at first but I wasnt impressed, the staff could do a better job with customer service. Saw a roach in the cafeteria after we ate. The salad was no good, but the chicken tenders were good. Next time I will not come on the weekend. Seemed like no parents were watching their kids and letting them behave like little jerks. Whiling to give it an other try.

We took the niece for her 9th birthday and she had a blast. The food was solid (for a kids place, but had some specialties worth trying) and the play area is large enough for adults to work through with the younger ones.

Our first time going was today with our three year old and it was a little overwhelming at first but once he went through the whole place twice, he was loving it! He even went off and explored by himself a few times and didnt want to leave. Definitely coming back and wish we found this place sooner since well be moving at the end of the year to get the annual pass. The price is well worth it and well be back!

I am legally allowed to operate a car and I still think about this place on a regular basis bc its so awesome. Its like being fully immersed in a Dr. Seuss book. Also great samosas.
