Its a very well kept park with a year around creek running through it and a grove of old growth trees. tennis courts, horseshoe pits and playground are all kept up and its great ehen the train is running.
Not anything to do with this place, my deceptive boyfriend again gave more clues to what I found out a few days afterward. Hes been cheating on me. All the while acting sincere and true. Proclaiming his innocence unfortunately I found in indisputable evidence to the contrary. He pushed blamed over & over his motorcycle was attached by my Dodge thats what he gets to!!
Very well maintained park. Lots of large trees (shade to be found). Good open grass area for larger activities. They have lots of events on weekends (when events were allowed to happen). No pets allowed.
It is a nice place for the kids to play at they have a play area they have a creek with water not deep at all kids can play in it. the grass is kept nice....
Great family fun place. We played volleyball and picniced.
The only reason I dont give Mills Park a five star is the parking lots. They can be confusing to get to one, and it is surprising they do not connect more easily with one another.
Nice city park, large open fields to enjoy sports or kite flying. City pool and Community Center are also close by.
We absolutely love this place because of the skate park, the open space but most of all.... The creek!!! I love taking my boys there because Im not freaking out that they will drown cuz its not too deep. Yes in some places but we go to the shallow parts. SO THANKFUL WE CAN GET THEM OUT AND NOT WORRY ABOUT GETTING OB TROUBLE BECAUSE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING!
This is a great place for a walk with the kids, your second half, just not your pets. There are signs everywhere that say no pets. The park itself is gorgeous and makes you feel like youre in a little piece of paradise.
This park is always clean and beautiful very welcoming
Wide Open Space To RelaxTake Your Shoes Off STAYA While NAP Is Great Here
So peaceful and relaxing. Had my dinner there and the ight breeze was perfect
It was an extremely clean and quiet park, we had a nice and quiet work luncheon, with tons of shade.
Great place for walking; resting ( and exercising if one must!). Very green with spacious picnic areas. Awesome place for grass and sand volleyball nets. Although has tennis and pickleball courts as well as exercising benches and a creek! No dogs sign posted but I go there daily and never saw any enforcement! A must place for hanging out alone or with family and friends and very interesting for kids ( there is a cheechoo train during summer). Great place for saying ones daily prayers as well!
Nice spot to enjoy lunch or just relax. Wish the train still ran though.
Always a wonderful park to enjoy the nice weather and Geese
New Pickleball courts are ready for play.
Good place to get some supllies
Beautiful park and lots of shade. Great for a picnic!
The train ride here is always a blast for the kids when you can catch it open, and the park is very beautiful. A big creek runs through it with awesome little bridges. Id mark it 5 stars bit it is very urban.
Nice place to relax and sit outside.
Great park besides not having play equipment and NO pets being allowed.
It is well maintained & clean & open. Fun to walk in.
Very clean and is very family oriented
Beautiful park but the bathrooms are closed and the port- a-pottys are absolutely disgusting!!!! WHY place Port a pottys if they arent going to be kept up???
Beautiful park with lots of trees, and a small creek running through it!
Amazing Pickleball ball court
Mills park used to be nice, but it just gets dirtier, and more shady people continue to make it there hangout spot, which makes it unsafe for our community, especially our kids.
Nice place to hang out
Its the city park. It was a nice day, ate our frozen yogurt and relaxed.
We love this park and the Train was running today! AWSOME!
I love Mills Park during the day for walking. There are homeless people who hang out here ...very few during the day though. Its a nice place to spend your lunch break.
Very pretty place to spend the day
Food is good, staff is nice!
Bring your kids to what I call the 100 acere woods. Super family friendly!!!
Great time with my grandson
I was hoping to get a chance to ride the train but maybe next time!
Took lunch and got to listen to a man singing was great
My dog loves it here in the park on a leash.
Easy to find and access. Went for food truck Thursday, had a great time with lunch at bus boy... hoping this attracts more! Also took take out and used picnic tables. Great setting, lots of shade and grass.
There is SO MUCH duck/bird poo covering the entire areas we walked in. New to the area from over 2,000 miles away, I got out with my tiny dog, only to have a not friendly cop of some sort tell me no dogs allowed in the park. Fair enough. But we left because of all the duck/bird poo carpeting the grass the walk from the car to the play area for kids with none IN the play area itself but, as I said, everywhere else. Im pretty sure dogs, especially the 3-lb kind like mine, wouldnt do near the damage those birds have done.
A great place to visit if youre in the heart of Carson City. Often has public events like the travelling Faire. Volleyball pits and skate park, jungle gym for the kids. Peaceful in the evening for a stroll or tossing horseshoes. Can get a bit dicey after dark because of rampant hordes of local vagrants, so best clear out before dusk.
52 acre park is always green and beautiful. Has paved walkways, and tables throughout park. Two large covered tables areas. Allows commercial vehicles. Parking is available around the whole park. Has 2 playgrounds and a volley ball sand area. Allows festivals. Information on reservation easy to find on website.Has 23 portals (ingress game).
Fun family place to enjoy the outdoors.
Human safari zoo. Not the kind of place you want to go on purpose.
Nice spacey park good for a walk has a playground thats good for kids. not the best people hang around here unfortunately
Been going here since a kid and now my kid goes here. I love the park but it could use a clean up crew some time soon!
Its a nice little area to go relax with friends and family. There are picnic tables in both the sun and the shade, and they have enough space in between them that you wont be disturbed by other park-goers. Optimal place to go hang out for a small picnic/lunch (BYOFood. Lol)
Beautiful. Geese running every where.
Very nice park. Just attended National Night Out at Mills Park. Great family and events place. There are many events that are scheduled at the park during the summer months. Car shows, soccer, carnivals and many more things to do and attend.
They have good speals
They have pickleball courts now
First time was nice and pleasant considering my circumstances. Second time was miserable and cold. Hated it. I am focusing the first time
Love this Park. Always clean except for the occasional canine feces. I see people come in with their canines from the back of the park, the high school entrance, and from the backyards of the homes that border the park. This is a no canine park so please keep it that way. I dont want too see children stepping in canine feces. There are signs everywhere so heed them or get ticketed.
Its so nice there
Nice park. Lots of grass and shade trees. Small stream runs right through the park...nice place to cool off your dog and have a picnic.
Mills park is a terrific spot. Always cool and green, dont get me wrong I love Nevada and pretty much everything about it, but once in a while I always need a place thats always been pretty much the same and its always cool and green even during the summer
Easy access and centrally located in Carson City makes Mills Park a convient place to eat lunch, take the kids, play some tennis, ride the train, partake in horseshoes, enjoy a game of volleyball or take a relaxing walk. You can also check out a competitive game of soccer on the spacious grass field or a fast-paced roller hockey match under the Pavillion... And of course get the kids signed up for either one. There is of course the traditional playground and two covered gazebo with ample seating accommodate your next get-together or birthday party.
It was exciting! Beautiful display of american classic cars! People where friendly, pleasant n out going. I had a good time!
Big park with many amenities. Playgrounds need updating and shade though. Kids love to play in the seasonal water.
Nice park, w/ Skate Bowl, Pavilion has occasional events such as Roller Derby
I loved it. I love any place that is peaceful. Kids had a little stream to play in. It was nice day for baby shower.
There arent any mills, so name is misleading. But its redeeming feature is you can in fact park there. 10/10 would park again.
The big oak trees are the most beautiful. The playground is nice too. But no dogs allowed.
Very nice park with a lot of room and activities. Really nice memorials for vets and 911 and firefighters. I enjoy walking around it.
Nice place to hang out, have birthday parties. They also serve as a gair groinds too, whitxh I think is pretty cool
I love this Park, there is so much to do and the little creek running through is awesome!
Love this park
Great park! Clean and well maintained! Fun place.
It has improved tremendously over the years.
I love going there just to hang out with friends and its even better when the fair or carnival come to town. Very epic and cool bros.
Always a nice place to relax and walk on a sunny day. Great for picnics with friends and family. Also home to many events throughout the year in Carson City.. Pioneer days, Fourth of July and others.
Very nice park to play or exercise. Great place to relax with plenty of space during the week. Great picnic area.
Only giving it 3 stars because of the homeless problems, and little drug activity Ive seen. Park is beautiful and large which I absolutely love.
I always find peoples trash. The trash can is right there.
It was fun i put my feet in the water and then i found 55 cents in the mills park river
Mills Park is a great place for family fun. Weather is best in the summer, lots of trees for shade, lots of benches for breaks. The perfect place for a BBQ or Picnic of any kind
If you dont like goose land mines this aint the park for you
The park has 3 sepsrate parking areas to different themed locations within the overall park. It also contains many different play areas with volleyball, tennis, play grounds, soccer, and memorials. Picknik area have large cottonwood trees for plenty of shade in the warm months. The park also entertains carnivals when they come to town. Occasionally there are outdoor small concerts and special events in parts of the park. A stream runs through the middle of the park.
Too trashy. A lot of the homeless hang around here
Its a great place to kick back and relax on nice days. There are horseshoe pits, there are two places that are covered for events, and other things. Overall, I call it a great place.
Went to the state fair which was just an attraction for trash citizens and trash vendors selling trash. The same trash as the carnivals they have there. I thought fairs were to showcase arts or crafts or something interesting. Not junk bought from china. LAME! The only thing worth spending money on was KONA ICE. They were a shaved ice vendor that has a great selection of flavors that dont taste like cheap corn syrup flavors. Ive seen them around town at other events. They are worth a stop. Friendly owners.
Great park to go to with the kids they have multiple playgrounds and the train is fun entertainment and very reasonable price they also have a lot of fun events going on throughout the year
It was really fun for the whole family. They have an excercise park and kids parks and the river is really fun to walk along. The train wasnt running but they have a small train too.
Very nice and quiet park. Large space, easy enough to find your own shaft spot. Too bad the creeks were bone dry. Sign posted saying no pets.
Other than goose poop all over it is a great place for family fun
The Family and I had an incredible time for the 4th of July for fun at the Carnival and the nice comfort on the Grass area at Mills Park 2018. I would have given this 5 stars but, there were only 5 Portable Bathrooms and the Main Bathroom Buildings were Closed. Why? is what I want to know. But thank you RSVP for such an enjoyable July 4, 2018. AWESOME!! Sincerely, Claire and the Family and Friends
Creek with the ducks and geese was really nice. Nice cool shade trees. Down side is there are homeless people around
