Came here for a group birthday. I was relieved that the puzzle difficulty was perfect. They were challenging enough to be satisfying when solved. Ive heard that some are either far too difficult or childs play. Definitely coming back for the other room.

Arrived at this escape room at 1:30 on Sunday Feb 3 for a scheduled escape room. The front door was open and we walked in. After 15 minutes of waiting and knocking on the door to the escape area, we explored to hopefully find an employee and found the entire place deserted and a wreck. Now we have to try to get a refund from Groupon. There was another group there with the same issue.

Came here for a 30th birthday party with 6 friends. Made reservations over the phone, card payment wouldnt work. Once we were there he took payment through his phone which seemed a little sketchy to me. Like, Squares dont cost that much and make for secure transactions. Also, he left and brought us donuts (which was a nice gesture, but he was the only one in the building, so we were left alone?) And hot chocolate. The guy was friendly and inviting, talkative, and had some decent jokes. Overall, a positive experience.

This place was amazing! Definitely stands apart from the other escape rooms Ive been to in Western New York. Fantastic service, interesting and engaging narratives, and a very welcoming environment! I will certainly be going again in the future.

Had such an incredible adventure when Trapped first opened. The entire group loved every part. Everyone was involved and it was the perfect challenge. I believe this was the first escape room in the area, and so far, from my experience, it is also by far the BEST escape room I have been too. Been back with the family, and they loved it. Couldnt emphasize enough, just how incredible the experiences here were. I cannot wait to go back and experience the new changes. It ruined other escape rooms for me. Thank you Trapped!

Enjoyed this place when it first opened, the first escape room in the area, and had an amazing time. Went there again recently and my whole family all had a great time and contributed. Perfect challenge. Best escape room I have been to. Seems like they are changing some things and I cannot wait to see those changes! Amazing adventure.

Our group had an excellent experience. Our host was friendly and accommodating. He told us of the upcoming rooms, which all sound great. Give it a try!

Clearly, something is not okay at this place. They told us their credit card machine was broken. Upon entering they asked us if we wanted beer from across the street, very unusual. The room Harry Potter room was completely messed up. We didnt even open the first box, we had the right answer the lock was just wrong. The person helping us was on some sort of drugs, he just wasnt right. We asked for our money back, they said they didnt have it. We had given them $200 CASH less than a hour before. We ended up calling the cops because they didnt have they money it was already gone! We are supposedly getting our money back via pay pal, I seriously doubt it. The cops said it was all they could do. DONT GO HERE!!!

The tomb was an amazing escape room experience, Chirag was an excellent host and the puzzles were challenging yet solvable. Highly recommend and will return for the rest of the rooms!

Awesome experience when it first opened and had the same experience again recently when bringing my family. Tried other escape rooms that opened after Trapped, which was the first in WNY, and a couple just seemed like imitations. The owner talked about the big changes coming and I cant wait to go when they are completed. The perfect challenging adventure and it is great whether I went with friends my age, or family consisting of children and adults.

Trapped is a blast! We did the Harry Potter room and got out with 2 minutes to spare. We will be back!!!

Don’t do it. Super nice guy but no clue how to run the business. Left early due to frustration and wasted $100 for 4 of us to stay 30mins and calling it quits.

We were extremely disappointed with this place. When we first entered there was a disturbing odor. There was an open can of paint and its just a black dark room. Before going to the room we used the bathroom. There was no soap, no paper towels, and a random toothbrush on the floor. I can only imagine how many ppl did not wash their hands and proceeded on to a room. We figured out 4 of the locks without even finding the clues. In the beginning when needed a clue, the guy wasnt even in the building. He had gone to Dunkin donuts. For $26/person this was just a bad experience. The online payment system is broken which is kind of sneaky because when you get there, you dont want to leave because you think you already paid. Only to find out that when you were leaving, you hadnt actually paid yet. It was just overall bad.

The place was disgusting, the employee appeared intoxicated and left the building with us locked in the room. We didnt want to pay him but decided we didnt want to cause a scene. They put a burlap sack over my head

Me and my friends did the wizardy room and it was very fun. It was based around Harry Potter and there is a lot of fun ideas like wearing the robes, scarves, and playing the game of chess. I have been here once before and I definitely will be coming back.

This place is abandoned. They took our money for a reservation and theres trash everywhere in the door. Do NOT go here. Please, you will regret it. We are going to file fraud with the credit card company. We also filed a report with the local police, and we were the 5th call on this location. Update- the money was refunded to the card at least.

Zero stars! This place is a fraud business. Cops had to be called. Went with 7 other people and had the first clue figured out in minutes however the drug addled owner and employee didn’t have the correct lock codes which wasted our hour. We asked for our money back ($200 we had paid in cash just moments before) and were told they no longer had the cash. They had given it to someone to get supplies at hardware store at 10:00 at night?! Finally after much arguing the police were called by the owner. When they arrived they immediately informed us this place was a scam and they had been there several times before (OVER 20!) The owner offered us his phone as payment??? Then when he tried to refund us through Apple Pay Venmo and several other electronic payment methods we found several frozen accounts in his name. Finally we received partial payment electronically and the owner went and interrupted another group to ask for payment to complete our refund. Highly unprofessional. All I can say is I will never forget my 29th birthday. Do not go here. Don’t wast your time or money.

Had a great experience. Our company did 2 separate rooms and everyone had a fantastic time. I read in some of the reviews that the owner leaves...which he did, to get us drinks and snacks! It was most of our first escape room experiences and we will be back! Sounds like over the summer they had some staff issues but has been taken care of. Id definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great time.

I was just there today 0 stars! . I made the reservation on the phone no payment was taken at that point. He called and change the time twice, saying that there was a “proposal” and “the place was messed up” and told us to go get donuts and he would pay for them. Once we arrived, he was not there! the door was unlocked there was a lit candle in the middle of the floor and cords & cigarette butts everywhere! he came rushing in from outside with no shoes on saying that the place was trashed, that he was robbed and people stole things from him from the appointment before us and he needs 15 more minutes to get it ready. .. He’s been out replacing some of the pieces that were stolen. Including his shoes?! This whole thing sounds suspicious and very sketchy. We felt completely uneasy and left he was the only person working. I feel like the positive reviews that are listed here are made up.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, GO ELSEWHERE. Missing clues and staff actually left the building when we needed a hint.Called ahead and the guy said he could do 2 people for the Harry Potter room. Only when we got there did he tell us that pieces were taken previously and he had to run out to replace them. Didn’t tell us to come back or that we couldn’t do it. The problem was he left to get them WHILE WE WERE STILL IN THE ROOM. He came back smelling like smoke about a half hour later. Meanwhile me and my gf needed clues, but couldn’t find him. Two very important clues were missing that set us back a good 30 minutes. We ended up being in there close to 2 hours because he never set a time limit. Ive done 5 escape rooms (one being there) and half of the clues made absolutely no sense. Finally, as we were leaving he charged us full price and made little effort to make up for the awful experience. Not sure if ownership changed but it sucks now. Never going there again.

This place was a lot of fun. We showed up early and no one was there but it wasnt a big deal we waiting inside and my kids battled each other in Jenga. The owner is who runs the place and he is very friendly and accommodating. We did the Harry Potter room and had a blast finding the golden snitch. I will be returning here for another adventure.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. Its a scam, its not worth 25 dollars a person. The rooms look like they were made of Halloween party decorations. None of the rooms have original created things, they are all store bought collectables from like hot topic. If you want an authentic experience of a room that looks like Hogwarts or whatever they are advertising, dont go here. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.

First time doing this type of thing. Good time and fun. Could of have been more guidance with the experience. Had a hard time following some of the clues. Got out with time to spare. I would recommend to someone looking for something different.

So this place is AWESOME. Ive done quite a few escape rooms and this was by far the most entertaining. The only thing I would change is the fact that we didnt make it out in time. Theres always next time!

We had an excellent experience with this escape room! The owner did have to run out and switch some of the locks but it didnt hinder our time with the room. He was so apologetic for having to step away that he even let us do another room !! He was very good at making sure we were all set and he even texted us some clues while he was away !!I have done many escape rooms in the area and this was one of the best ones we have completed !!! The props were awesome and the clues all made sense to get us out of the room on time !!!! I highly recommend

The owners are very nice and helpful. The rooms change every few months or so and are just the right amount of challenging and fun.

I originally bought a voucher off of groupon for 10 people. I seen a ton of mixed reviews and it wasnt that bad. It could of been a little more organized but we managed to get out with minutes to spare. I would go back and attempt the other rooms.

Please please please please please, if you read this review, TRUST IT. This place should be avoided at all costs.The person running it is rude, scatterbrained, and a liar. And the place is not fit for public use.1. Bathroom: no lights, no towels, no soap, sink is disgusting (hair and blood in it? Really?).2. Entry front room is filthy. Sticky, whats the rest look like?3. Reservations? Dont bother, they call and reschedule you. When you show up, NO ONE IS THERE, but the doors are unlocked?4. The guy showed up shoeless, 10 minutes late from his own rescheduled time, and the rooms werent even ready. Nearly an hour later we walked out. He still wasnt ready from our original time.We saw the rooms, they were dingy, dark and a mess. He told us his painters stole his stuff. Really? Read the reviews! Hes been using this excuse for MONTHS OR LONGER.People have called the police even. There are news reports about this place from 2018. How on Earth is it still in business?Avoid, avoid, avoid avoid.The owner owes the public an apology or just quit.

My husband and I took both of our daughters along with two of their friends. We all had an absolute blast and felt well taken care of by our host. The room was innovative, challenging and quite immersive. We will be returning. Thank you so much for the experience Trapped!

Arrived at our appointed time, to a freezing cold room, lit only by candles and warmed (?) by a very small, inefficient space heater. We were not greeted by any staff member until standing there for 30 minutes. Another group waiting told us the owner told them that his painters caused a lot of vandalism that morning. The restroom was not working. One of our group had to drive down to a local restaurant while we were still waiting to enter.Eventually owner came out, told us some story about being vandalized and how the police werent doing anything. He informed us that he couldnt watch us in the room and if we needed any hints his number was on the wall. Having been here previously, I knew what a help those hints were that were sent under the door without us asking. The room was lacking in lighting, lit mainly by candles and one bulb. Several of the clues were either missing or broken. He would drop in and give us clues - which was helpful as pieces were missing. However, I paid to get the complete experience and get through the room using the clues provided - not the owners help.More help is needed. He had 3 rooms happening at once - and couldnt handle it.If indeed, as he stated, vandalism occurred that day he should have called us and rescheduled. It was not a cheap hour to spend there.

We’ve done quite a few escape rooms, and by that I mean a lot. Trapped was definitely up near the top of our list in terms of room quality and overall enjoyment. The staff goes above and beyond. He bought our son Snf his birthday party a cake, drinks and really made us feel looked after.We didn’t escape at the hour and asked to keepTrying. Even though we were the last group, he stayed 45 minutes later for us to work through the rest of the puzzles.Oh, he even rewrite a portion of the room just for our son which gave it a really personal effect.Another great perk is they removed the prepayment requirement. I believe they are the only ones to do so.If you’re looking for a great time, you just found it!

Such a wonderful experience! The owner(I believe) went above and beyond to make sure we had fun which we most definitely did. He wouldn’t accept money for the birthday girl only asking that we use the money to get her one last gift.Seeing the reviews from a few months back simply don’t tell the tale. Worst escape room experience I’ve ever had (we have done many). First, the owner is the only employee and walked in and out of the building at his leisure, disappearing for long stretches of time. During the game he told us we could ask for hints by knocking on the door, but he never came. After struggling for 20+ minutes, I went to the lobby to ask, and he was nowhere to be found. He finally returned after nearly 45 minutes, his excuse being he got locked out of his car.He offered us another room for free afterwords, which we accepted, but he told us the exact order of which to do everything (which is half the fun). Part of the experience is the scenario of each room, but he did not give one at all. Though he said there was an hour to escape, there was no timer to beat and thus no sense of accomplishment. By the end we were tired and frustrated and just wanted to leave.Additionally, the building is not heated, save for a small space heater in the lobby, and we were freezing by the end. This place has potential, the clues were decent, but needs additional staff (1 per game that is running) and to provide a much more professional experience to truly be considered an escape room.

Trapped provides a level of difficulty that is challenging but rewarding. Although my group did not successfully escape, the clues never felt too cheap or too obvious. An overall delightful escape room experience.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! SCAM!! My sister bought a groupon and booked a time slot for this morning at 10AM. We showed up and entered the building which was dark, freezing, and littered with empty beer cans, trash, half smoked cigarettes and other filth. The place looked abandoned and like a homeless person was camping out. We called the police and they informed us that this is not the first time this has happened and that the owner shows up for random appointments (apparently the are some people who actually get to experience the rooms due to the 5 star reviews) and other times leaves the place abandoned and doesnt show up. Unless you want to play Russian roulette with your money and time, avoid at all costs.

A group of friends went here, we had a great time. We completed 1 of the tougher rooms in roughly 45 minutes. It was alot of gun but unfortunately since we did their tougher room going back before they changed it up is pointless. Other than that though it was alot of fun and good for team building

Chirag works really hard to make high quality escape rooms. They are very fun with a group of people and he is a very chill dude. Id recommend room 9 and the tomb.

My group had a great time, we were able to do 2 rooms that night. The owner was very friendly and provided us drinks and snacks. He also allowed us to stay in the building when one of the group members had a flat tire and had to wait for AAA.

DO NOT EVER COME HERE. SCAM!!! If I could give a zero, I would. We purchased a Groupon for $75 and showed up this morning to an unlocked, but vacant building. There were alcohol containers and cigarette butts everywhere. It was very creepy!! No one was there. We were told by the salon next door that the owner comes and goes as he pleases. We had to call the police and file a report. DO NOT COME HERE!!! The phone number is also out of service. Should have known! This review seems out of place mixed in with the others, but it is the truth! The Tonawanda police are involved. If you book, who knows if he will be there. Book at your own risk!!!
