Beautiful park! Plenty of space for the children to run. Lots of benches for the adults. Plus the kids loved climbing the trees! We also really enjoyed all the snippets of history about Baylor
Always enjoy this place! I cant think of better way or place to spend time with a few friends and enjoy a picnic lunch.
Beautiful historical spot. Kids loved it. Nice spot for a picnic with good shade.
Very intereating story about this place. Wish had been better preserved or restored
Great little historic park with guided tours of antique cabins and school house, swings and picnic tables. Nice photo ops in a very pretty county setting with plenty of historical markers. We rode bikes 4miles down a hilly country road and it was BEAUTIFUL with all the spring flowers in bloom. It is what you make of it. We had a nice visit
Great little place for a rest stop! Home of the original Baylor University. Swings, picnic tables and restrooms! Also lovely for taking pictures in the Texas wildflowers away from the highway!
This park is the location of and has the old ruins of the original Baylor College. There are a couple of historic buildings on the property. There are swings there for the kids. There is a picnic table available. The beautiful overgrown trees here are well worth the visit to this park. In the spring the blubonnets bloom along with other wildflowers. If you have the patience to sit for a while you will see butterflies fluttering through the flowers. Not much is located around this area so be sure to bring water or other drinks along for the kids or yourself. Take the 20 minute drive into Brenham and go to Must Be Heaven for lunch after your visit here. They have great chicken salad!Texas State Historical Marker No: 161151936 Bronze Plaque Centennial Marker
A beautiful park especially when the wildflowers are blooming in the Spring.
Absolutely beautiful! Bluebonnets are perfect. Great day trip.

This is a wonderful Little historic site. Beautiful location with a lot to offer. Historic buildings to tour, ruins, and a great picnic area under the old live oak trees. This place is definitely worth the trip.
Its a beautiful historical site with picnic tables and swings. A great place to take pictures
Its worth a brief stop at to stretch and take some pics. Better if you read a little history about its significance before you stop by.
For what this place is, its great. This is really a glorified picking area with a lot of history. Beautiful setting, neat buildings, and a dose of Texas and Baylor history. As far as amenities, it has picnic tables, some swings for kids, and bathrooms. But, its a stellar place for a picnic. Lots a trees and shade.
So beautiful and picturesque!

Nice place and the weather was very good that day too.
Love the huge oak trees and peace and quiet
Nice park. Beautiful wildflowers in the spring.
A must see for history buffs.
Was a beautiful park
Went for a book reading + Q&A with 2 women authors. Entertaining as well as educational. Well moderated. Will go again, for sure.
Just old buildings in a field, with an old pioneer house, old ruins from Baylor College, and an old schoolhouse. Provides some interesting options for photography, and in a good year it could make for great shots for people enjoying photography of the wildflowers against the buildings and ruins there. The facility is set up more for it being little more than a roadside attraction sans any employees. There are signs you can read for self guided tours. There were some picnic tables, and a restroom. This is not destination travel, but stopping off to stretch the legs on a bigger trip, its not bad.
Great picnic spot with picnic tables. Bluebonets and huge trees. Swings. Great place to spend family time.
Small quiet historic site, great on spring to take pictures, there are great fields full of flowers, if you are passing by and would like to see inside of the cabins you have to schedule a tour, only available on the spring.
Lovely, lot of Texas history.
This site is historical and beautiful.
If you are into night photography this is a great park to visit at night as well.
