The hubby and I finished walking at Robinsons Preserve on Saturday morning and noticed many cars parked along the road and people going into the entrance of the plant place across the street. We decided to check it out ourselves and discovered a plant sale! It was great! There were some really nice vendors, beautiful plants and it was free to get in and walk their well kept landscape. We purchased a pink desert rose and a large air plant for $15. Great deals!
Medium sized botanical thats free to the community. I highly recommend that you leave a few dollars in the donation box right in the entrance. Park is well kept and is absolutely stunning and relaxing to getaway. Dogs are welcomed just pickup after yourself. Park is never crowed which is my favorite part about it! There is adequate parking space and even another much bigger park across the street. Must visit!
Beautiful gardens! Lots to do, much to look at. We rented a pavilion for a family reunion and it was so nice and private. Only a couple walkers with their dogs, but the kept to themselves. The ground were impeccable, the bathrooms were clean and had bottles of sanitizer spray in each. My only issue was in the mens bathroom. The ceiling access was half way open, that was a bit uncomfortable. With WiFi hidden cameras these days, I would have to give it . Close the access in the bathroom ceiling!
What a wonderful place to visit and learn about native and non native plants! One of the best gardens I have been to yet!!!
Friendly staff that was excited to explain all the plant life to us and direct us where we needed to go. Rare fruit trees that were a treat to observe. It is very hot and sunny, so wear a hat and good footwear, and bring water. This garden is free, but please do bring cash for the donation box!
Nice quiet place and a short walk in nature. Don’t forget to pay attention to the details and look closely
Great way to spend a few hours. Mice variety of plants and beautiful grounds. Made a purchase at the nursery. Hood quality plants at fair prices. Would visit again.
Admission is free, and the Palma Sola Botanical Gardens is a great place to visit. You can take as long or little time as you like strolling through the grounds. The variety of tropical fruits from all over the world that grow here is a feast for the eyes. You will see various birds, possum, maybe an armadillo. When I visited recently I witnessed someone sketching. Now there is an idea. There is a pervillion where you might sit and eat a lunch you brought and several benches throughout.
Palma Sola Botanical Park is simply a great place to spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying nature. I love taking pictures of wildlife and this park is a great place for that with their variety of unique plants, fruit trees, and all the wildlife that they attract.I highly recommend people visit Palma Sola if they get the chance
We enjoyed a nice stroll through the garden in January 2020. Our leashed dog was able to accompany us. We enjoyed seeing the various fruit trees and cactus. It was a nice quiet, simple outing.
Nice but small botanical gardens. We stopped by after a visit to another nearby park and walked through this garden pretty fast. They grounds are well maintained and there are restrooms on site but once again this is a pretty small location.
Cute place for a quick stop while visiting Bradenton. Its a free attraction that accepts donations. Its definitely hot and theres limited shade. I would recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses, sun lotion and bug spray. The plants are beautiful and its very peaceful.
Great day slowly walking through this beautiful park. Amazed at all the fruit trees!
Nice small garden to visit. Please leave a donation when you do.
We rented the pavilion and it was lovely. The surroundings were well kept.
Nice place for a day trip. Small but well maintained. Neat place.
This is a nice peaceful garden that is well kept. I loved the seeing the different fruit trees. I loved just walking around seeing all the different flowers. Great botanical garden. The kids all loved the swinging bench. We will definitely return.
Beautiful garden, lots of variety, lots of places to just sit and enjoy. Clean bathrooms and drinking fountain.
Such a pleasant and peaceful spot to have a little walk and enjoy the views
One of the most beautiful parks in the state. Tons of beautiful plant species and the park is very well maintained. There is a large gazebo available to rent for events (perfect ambiance for weddings) and plenty of semi shady walking trails! I will be coming back soon!
Had such a nice day just walking through the orchards. Some beautiful scenery.
I enjoyed the many plants and fruit trees. I didnt enjoy the mosquitoes. Bring bug spray
This place has two major assets: Its free and its peaceful. Ive seen better botanical gardens. This one is okay. Shelby gardens in Sarasota are much better . . . but also cost something like $20. Free is nice, but I didnt spend more than 20 minutes here. Might be nice for an event.
A great place to take a short stroll. We came in January so there was not a whole lot to see. The swing is a tranquil place to take a rest. The grounds could use a whole lot more upkeep.
Been here twice. The kids dont like it, too boring and hot. The wife and I enjoy it. We were the only ones there both times. Many different types of fruit trees. Good place to relax. Easy walking.
I love peaceful walks. Clear your mind and body of all the negative thoughts.
Saw a FB post on local Attractions and didnt know of this one so a Field Trip was soon underway. Very surprising Botanical Park. Loved the Fruit Tree section where many were in bloom. Well marked identification markers throughput park but it doesnt interfere with very nice views. We were out early in great weather and very minimal crowds, almost had it to ourselves most of the time with no one messing up the views. Great Botanucal Park with no entrance fee, however the Foundation works with volunteers and promotes environmental education and donations are very welcome. We plan on more trips as the seasons change. This is also a a place that is great for Weddings, Receptions, exhibitions, small Concerts, Birthdays, and classes. A real hidden treasure
Palma Sola is amazing.Couldnt ask for more, we decorated inside and out, love the botanical feel, nature at its best.
My daily walk ends by a very peaceful and twanquel walk through the gardens.Thank you for all the hard work in creating a place of beauty .
Very cool place to To visit short walk through the gardens and seeing the vegetation in Florida in the different reason, theyre growing their. Picnic tables. So go grab some sub sandwiches or a nice launcher bring your own lunch there. Can enjoy a nice little afternoon as a good quick stop on your way to the beach or on the way back from the beach as well.
It was really nice to visit. Thier was a lot nice flowers and a lot of different trees. Great place to visit and kids had a great time. Very clean and it is well taking care of.
Beauiful place to walk, relax and see nature. Also a place you can rent for events
Small park with a short hiking trail thru some beautiful trees and plants. Too bad they are building homes nearby, its crowding the wildlife and peaceful atmosphere of the place. They also do weddings here, what a beautiful location
We had our wedding here. It is such a beautiful, private, intimate venue! I knew from the moment I saw it that it was the place I wanted to get married. Diedre and Ina were so incredibly kind and helpful. I had my dream wedding here. Thank you!
Beautiful well maintained gardens . Great thing to do and place to go with every indoor place closing because of germs. They also have fruit trees and a nursery. The nursery has several sales a year.Very nice people to talk to that are well informed.
They have many fruits and a lot of beautiful flowers! I give it 4 stars is because the ants and mosquitoes! But overall I loved it I hope this helped you come to this beautiful Garden !
Great place to relax and see beautiful scenery.
We almost always see night herons. Very nice park.
The park has a very welcoming presence from the moment one enters the main gateway. Not overly pretentious or grand, the variety of plants, fruit trees, colorful flowers, and walking paths gave us a sense of the thoughtfulness and peace that went into making the park and gardens possible. The staff were very hospitable and complement the pleasant atmosphere. The visit should be a joy to adults and children alike.
Excellent place for family gatherings
Great place to walk around and explore exotic trees and fruit trees
Great venue. Nice lake in the middle with different types of plants everywhere.
Awesome private park... Staff was very friendly and helpful... Park depends on donations to remain open; thus, donate, if you can... Its packed with information about native and exotic flora... Bring water and sunscreen... Make sure to walk all passages...
Loved it! So beautiful. Loved learning about plants.
An absolute hidden gem. Were new to the area, having visited for decades but recently moved. Trying to check out off-the-beaten-path places locals know about, we ran across this place. It was a bit difficult to locate; our GPS kept insisting it was part of Robinson Preserve. Its not - if you drive along 17th Ave NW theres a sign you can almost miss as you near the corner of 99 Street NW; you can also enter from 99th but theres no sign we could see. By the time we arrived, we just had time to wander through the incredible fruit tree area - we had no idea there were so many native fruit trees here, sadly so because people dont seem to plant them any more! There were informative signs throughout, and we were told picking was allowed. (Though we then watched a couple with a baby carriage that didnt hold a baby, literally grabbing every single ripe fruit in the place and stuffing it into the carriage. It made us long for some sort of oversight, even a volunteer, to place a limit, because by the time we got to the one tree we wanted fruit from, the fruit had all been taken!)We walked around the pond, or lake, with our dog, checked out the gazebo (beautiful) and eating areas (well maintained, indoor seating, great for a group party), stopped at the combination gift shop/information house, and all in all thought it was a great experience. The variety of flowers is likewise immense, with well-kept signs explaining what each one is. We had a question about a particular bush, and one of the staff took a good ten minutes to tell us where it came from originally, how it grew, how to grow it ourselves.Really, a hidden gem.
Beautiful tropical garden. Easy access for senior with a walker. Nice spot for a family gathering.
Fantastic little place. The recent spectacular blooming of the red silk cotton tree justs goes to show that there are plenty of surprises to be found at this park.
Beautiful grounds. Love the fruit trees.
This place is gorgeous! So great and relaxing to walk through.
Had a party at this venue and there was a non-functional air conditioner for the amount of people that attended the reception. It was 85 degrees in their reception hall with very high humidity. If you plan on having an event, I recommend AGAINST having it here if you expect to have a good AC to keep guests comfortable. What made me even more upset was the owner/manager locked the doors to the office that had a working AC and extra restrooms...thus forcing the guests to only have the hot/steamy room to use.
Great selection of fruit trees to show you what grows well in Florida.
Absolutely beautiful grounds!!
Nice and well kept. When I visited, there were very few people. Took me 1 hour to walk through the whole area, reading many plant tags.
Beautiful grounds, plenty of parking, and no entry fee.
Lovely space away from the traffic
3 generational enjoyment!
In my first visit I actually enjoyed I have never been here before and I heard that I was pretty good and I went there and it was good I spent half of the time there 9:00 a.m. and to 12:30 I would like to spend little bit longer but I was in a group so I couldnt stay there and they gave me free water and this public so its for free theres no charge and no tax the garden was beautiful in my opinion and I love it was like a sanctuary anybody that likes to call me relax maybe read books or do some computer work or even write or may take or yoga then I recommend you to go to the spark and have your own time and spend your life in this public park. Oh by the way if anybody likes art that I would like you guys to go to my channel Im a YouTuber I teach art I like art I do a lot of things in my channel so I would appreciate if you go there and subscribe... If you want more information then watch my introduction video.
My daughter picked this as her wedding venue. Couldnt be more pleased. Gorgeous place for a wedding. The staff were very nice and helpful. Reba was our on site staff person, she was awesome. Didnt need much decorations because nature helped out with that. I highly recommend this place if you want a beautiful place for your wedding or just a leisurely stroll through nature.
Lots of foliage in an interesting park.
Beautiful, shady, and quiet park
A beautiful garden, and free to walk through as well. It has a large variety of plants and trees in a small space, and is conveniently located right next to the beautiful Robinson Preserve. Certainly was a 5 star experience walking through the gardens with my best friend, and we even got to talk to a woman who works at the gardens, who was very kind and helpful. Worth checking out, whether you are a tourist, or a local.
Very pretty!
Beautiful plants and grounds!
Lots of different types of plants. Very peaceful and an easy walk
Very nice botanical park but it is on the small side.
Took my wife there and she loved it. She loves to take photographs and it started to rain so we hid under a nearby gazebo
Great hidden gem. Very interesting assortment of trees and plants.
Such a beautiful place. My husband and I got married here and the scenery made it even more magical.
Beautiful. Peaceful well kept
We have almost all of our large family gatherings in the pavilion and we love it!
Nice place to take a relaxing stroll. Beautiful plant life.
This place is gorgeous! A must-see for the flower/garden lover.
Was there for my cousins wedding. Absolutely gorgeous grounds. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they have rare tropical fruit trees. My cousins wedding was beautiful and the botanical gardens was a perfect choice for both the wedding and reception.
A beautiful garden with a huge variety of interesting trees and plants. Wonderful views and walks. Free to visit.
Beautiful Park to wander around and meditator on the plants and and stuff.. they have plant sales and art vendors occasionally. The staff is very nice to.! It is hidden backup in Northwest Bradenton
Lovely place for wedding
It was good clean air and not a single if the city here. Warm and damp, welcome to Florida.
Beautiful grounds. Faculty and staff were nice. We attended a memorial there for our friends hubby. The perfect, quiet, peaceful place for an otherwise difficult situation
Beautiful park
A wonderful venue for parties and weddings! Dont miss their upcoming garden events! Excellent plants at great prices! A great place to spend an afternoon in a beautiful botanical park!!
First time there, it was lovely. So many species of plants to enjoy and learn about.
Well maintained park. Was visiting to checkout for wedding venue. Beautifully setting and reasonable facilities.
A Lovely inside/outside venue for weddings or gatherings in a formal or casual way.The grounds are pretty & a public gazebo allows for picnic style outting.
A very relaxing place. The colors of the flowers were awesome.
Awesome park to just sit and retake a load off.
There is interesting things to see here. However there isnt a clear path to walk which made us walk through several things more than once. Wish trials were clearly marked.
Beautiful, just beautiful. A must see. The grounds, trees, plants and all other areas are well kept. Treat yourself and visit.
Hidden gem in Bradenton, found this place recently and was surprised by how nice it is. It is great that people volunteer here so there is no fee to visit
Fabulous plants and ponds. What a wonderful place to see
Beautiful little garden. Picturesque landscapes filled with beautiful plants of all kinds. Lots of places to sit and relax as admiring the view.
This place was great! So much to see! Its beautiful and peaceful and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly!
Beautiful park with many flora to view and enjoy
Nice family oriented botanical park ... Clean facilities... Well maintained... Didnt see any staff...
Very nice gardens and crafts. Size of botanical park is great. Will look into joining in fall
We came here to take pictures. We checked their online schedule to make sure it wouldn’t be closed for an event. We had been in the park for a little over an hour when one of the staff approached us. She was immediately hostile and accused us of having no respect for a private event (yet there were a couple of other families walking around at the same time as us and when we left there was no event happening and no cars were there??) I wish the employee had kindly told us the park was closed instead of automatically berating us. It was an honest mistake and with it being our first time there we had missed signs of the park being closed. We would not have entered otherwise if we had known. Aside from that the park is beautiful.
