Easy trail surrounded by great wooded area. Our GPS took us to the wrong place, but I am glad we persisted and found the trail head. Saw only one other couple who chose not to put their dog on leash. We left early because my elderly blue healer doesn’t like other dogs getting into her space and running up on her. Other than that, we would love to go back and walk further on the trail.

Nice, out and back trail. Good cardio workout with lots of elevation gain till mid Sanctuary Loop.

Fairly difficult incline climb but it does wind back and forth. Beautiful scenery and some really cool mushrooms. Took the dog and family and it was peaceful. Posted some really cool pictures.

Directions are incorrect. You need to map to Boone United Methodist Church at 471 New Market Blvd. Park in the back of the lot where you will find a trail map. Otherwise, you will be sent through Chestnut Drive and Hidden Valley Circle which are residential neighborhoods.

My family and I have visited Boone at least 6 times. This evening after checking into our hotel we wanted to get a hike in. This was our first time on this trail. It was excellent not too difficult or too easy just right. My son is 8 and my daughter is 10.

Fun trail, even though we didnt make it far. Kids had a blast, and met some nice people. Up, up, up the whole way. Some big, cool trees to look at along the way.

Trail head is in the parking lot of Boone United Methodist Church.

Anytime you take your grandsons to a boy scout meeting your going to have a good time!

Steep and fairly short. Beautiful. Can be completed in an hour at a quick pace.

Nice trail, in town

First map to United Methodist and park in back corner where youll see map at trailhead. Otherwise Google maps will steer you wrong. Second thing to know is it is, 7 up then a loop. There is a road right after you start that is NOT the loop.

Great mountain get away. Beautiful mountain views and friendly people.
