Such a cute park. It seems very popular though so if you are trying to avoid people, dont go near the playground. Its large enough that you can find a nice shaded area to relax though. My little girl and I enjoyed having our picnic lunch there.
Fun all year round. Great sledding hills in the winter. Disc golf course, tennis courts, Great playground, something for everyone.
One of the best parks in Billings. Pioneer Park offers plenty of shaded areas, a creek, a nice playground and a baseball field for kids to enjoy. The park has recently redone Tennis Courts, lots of picnic tables and some fire pits to use. A great place for a small family get together or just a good place to walk at night. I definitely recommend this park for any outdoor recreation.
If Im being honest I grew up loving pioneer park. I lived beside it when I first moved to billings and loved it ever since. Its a great place to go when the weight of the day is overbearing. But warning If you go there during lunch. You might see teens hanging near the school opening to the park.
We love Pioneer Park. Its not exactly the safest place after dark and you should keep a close eye on your kids with people driving fast on 3rd, but otherwise its nice. Lots of well maintained grass, a big playground, shallow pool, sledding hills, BBQ charcoal grills. Whats not to like?!
The biggest and the best park in town! Tons for people to do & see. My kids also enjoy going during the summer to hit up the Snowie truck thats always parked there.
Nice big park with great play area. Womens restroom was clean and had soap! Cute little creek that was perfect for the kids to play in.
Very unique park centrally located within Billings, MT. This park has so many uses for the community. Trees, hills, flat open areas. This park has a frisbee golf course, tennis courts, wading pool, restrooms, horseshoe pits, multi-use trails, barbeque areas, and enough green space for softball/football/rugby/soccer. They have theater events, school gatherings, etc...
Very nice. Nice playground for the kids. All the kids playing were very nice and waited their turn.
Beautiful park. Great playground. Cute creek. Disc golf course. Tennis.
Beautiful park. First our map routes us to a not park way off, but then we wondered over near the hospital... and saw on the map a big green spot... oh and it says Pioneer Park lol not sure how that happened. So pay attention to where on your map (are there 2 pioneer parks?)Anyway playground is great! Traditional play set, those new climber things, a small kids playground, a splash pool (kiddy pool - very shallow) and TREES! picnic tables all around. Wasnt crowded at all - considering its summer and gorgeous out today. Friendly place! Pleased with Billings
Gorgeous luscious grass, unless youre handicapped or disabled there is no parking for an individual to park except for on the street the street where you park at lean drastically to the right. there were a lot of people out jogging and running and walking their dogs and there was a nice size play area for the children it seemed in the city but out of the way it seems quiet well-maintained and I would definitely go there again.
This park was amazing! Lots of interesting climbing features, a water area with lifeguards and a bathroom. Definitely highly recommended!
Excellent grounds for the people of billings, you will find all walks of life, children and families plus couples having a great time eather playing or relaxing or walking there dogs, it feels it is like the heart of town .it has clean bathrooms and, perfectly safe when the is up .never went night time .You can come here everyday and have a great time
Very enjoyable for the kiddos! Nice, modern playground equipment. Parents and children at the park were friendly and respectful. Nice walking trails, neat little bridge to cross over a stream running through the landscape. Lots of trees, picnic tables, restrooms, a place to play tennis, basketball and folf games. Oh, and a wading pool for the littles! Overall, this is a great park! Beautiful and well kept.
A decent park, has great equipment for the children. The public restroom is lackluster to say the least.
The kids were able to enjoy themselves! Great equipment for lots of fun.
Such a cool park with wading pool, tennis courts, hills, creek, play grounds for big and small ages. Folf course. Great for sledding in the winter.
Great park for our community. I was well received by friendly folks. Great environment for kids and recreation.
One of the best playgrounds in town. Great park.
Lots to do for kids of all ages!
Awesome park! Had shaved ice while here as well. Great place for family fun. Wadeing pool frisbee golf something for everyone here!!
Great play structure. Too hot and too many mosquitoes. Didnt use the pool.
Beautiful large grassy areas..even when the park has lots of people there still is plenty of space to enjoy without feeling like its crowded. Large playground areas
Great Park. Plenty of space for lots of activities. Beautiful little Creek runs through it.
Its a lovely park with plenty to do. theres a kiddie swimming pool, tennis courts and a fun folf (frisbee golf) course. its also a great place to hold rehearsals and they do shakespeare here every summer.
I felt like jumping but eh the view made it better
This park has newer equipment and separated areas for kids under 5 and those 5 and older. While there are a lot of trees and a creek near by, there is little to no shade near the playing equipment. The slides and other equipment get quite hot quickly so beware. There is also a small sand play area, tennis courts nearby, a wading pool that is available June-August and bathroom building nearby.
This park has a frisbee golf (folf) course! The tennis courts were kept and the jogging trail circled the whole area. Fresh air and lots of space to play for kids and the fur babies. I think pioneer park is also know to have social events.
This is one of our favorite parks. There are tennis courts, a full playground for younger kids as well as older, a splash park during the summer, plenty of grills and tables, and a lot more! The park is well maintained equipment wise, but there tends to be quite a bit of litter. Overall this is a must visit park and a great way to spend a morning, afternoon, or a full day!
Cleen cute good for dogs
The best city park with plenty of things to do. Theres a nice playground, creek, tennis courts, and a small waterpark as well.
Great place to bring the family!
Always a nice place to visit and relax and bring some food and enjoy the outdoors!
Its a nice place to spend time with your friends and family and or your furbabies. But the thing I dont get is at the other parks here in town the bathrooms have a sign saying closed for the season but there isnt a sign saying that at pioneer park and I lost count of how many people who try to use the bathrooms come to realize they are locked.
Took My daughter here had a great playing on the play ground
Great place to take grandkids.
Great place to take the kids!
Good food, good service, reasonable price
Because its TJs! Were having a few gals over for apps & wine on New Years Day, so I thought I would stop by TJs. So perfect! Got 4 great apps (onion soup bites, bacon-wrapped scallops, crunchy salmon bites, and corn hand rolls), some fresh parmesan for roast parmesan rounds, some grapes, peeled carrots, and 3 great bottles of wine - perfect! Plus some great Maple Syrup, and some Indian food for lunches. Not to mention dark chocolate covered ginger....TJs is the best!
Attended a cross country meet. One thing I noticed is that cell service has greatly improved over this time last year.
Beautiful place with lots of trees, pool, tennis courts.
Nice park with plenty of trees for shade.
Beautiful park to walk, okay at the park, exercise, play tennis, or hang out at.
Love playing disc golf
5th Street par 2. •=°5th street saints°=•
Great park for a summer day!
Very nice park to relaxed at
Love this park. Lots of fun.
Very nice and clean.
FYI the disc golf nets are not numbered so it can be a little confusing navigating them if youve never been there before. Also, the sprinklers were on when we went so we had to do a bit of dodging. But it was well worth it for a fun little 9-hole course.
A very pleasant place to walk, relax, and play. The park has large open spaces, playgrounds, and tennis courts. One of Billings best parks.
Very wide nice play ground has a splash area yes I know its 2020 buts its a good place for Pokemon go .
Perfect Family park!
Awesome place to play
Its bum free like North Park isnt
A nice city park with lots of space to you later and enjoy the sun. A great playground for the kiddos also.
Clean and peaceful at night
Great place to spend the day
Nice equipment for kids and shade
Lots of private areas, but no open bathrooms
Great playground, great walking path, great frisbee golf course, nicely kept grass, tennis courts, a small pool for kiddos, this park is a staple for Billings. I rarely see shady people who dont belong and make you feel uneasy. Playground equipment available for the smallest kids to the biggest, most rambunctious ones. Occasionally youll find a slushie or food cart parked on the east side of the park. Parking lot located on the west side near the brick building.
Great open park with Folf course, swim area, tennis courts, public restrooms and a little creek with some bridges over it. Also the kids playground is in good condition and they have age appropriate equipment for toddlers and teens alike
This was a great place for soccer practice and the improvements to the playground are awesome for my 4-year old. She had a blast playing. There is no shade on the playground so make sure to get there when the weather isnt hot.
Sledding was great
Best park in Billings!
Pioneer Park is always a well deserved rest. The park is snuggly tucked back, from the ever busy, and faster keeping life styles, some of us, might live out more than others. I enjoyed the park all though it was a small detour for us today it was a good recalm and reclaiming of our day. Thanks Pioneer park.
Kids can play every day
Nice big park, lots to do, but it is definitely a bit gross. Not a very clean park.
This park is awesome! Its got a huge newer playground thats tucked far back from the street which is a huge plus in my book. Also its beautiful to walk around! Highly recommended!!
Potheads usually stay in the corner
Beautiful Park for a walk, Disc Golf, Tennis or to spend some time with the kids. Plenty of trails and sidewalks for walking. Splash Pool and Playground for the kids. Lots of trees for shade and a nice stream down the middle of the Park.
A beautiful day to be in the park, encountered a number of friendly people. Parks and Rec seems to be doing a decent job keeping it clean and well groomed.
Beautiful park! It has a small pool area for kids, great for cooling off in the summer heat. There is a massive playground for children of all ages. The park also has tennis courts and disc golf for adults.
Great place for family fun. We went for the movie in the Park night. We were met with a group of people smoking in front of us and kinda downer.
Large, green, excellent play area for all ages of children (and fun adults:) Beautiful walking trails & Creek running through.
Lonely no people in park. Felt errie
Ending spot for the Montana Marathon. Absolutely beautiful day, I forget how nice this park is and really enjoyed being there.
Just briefly stopped by, but from the walk through theres ample frisbee room, lots of winter sledding potential and a really nice playground for the kids! :) Great place to take polite doggos
Cuz its a park
Beautiful peaceful place to think and enjoy the view by the stream
Good spot to hang
Beautiful park with great picnic benches under shady trees. Great spot for eating lunch and getting fresh air!
The little pool is awesome for little kids and the new playground is really cool!
Nice new updated playground
Very nice park. Great location and lots of kid friendly equipment.
Great place for kids. Plenty of table for picnics and parties. Very clean and maintained.
I took the family to the park on a beautiful day. People were playing FOLF. The disks they throw are extremely dangerous. One came right at my head, I instinctively caught it. Ive posted the pic of what it did to my hand. They are super heavy and move fast. It would kill someone if hit in the head. The park is either a folf course or a park it really cant be both. I loved Pioneer park when I could come there without the danger of being hit by a hard projectile. We need to remove the disk golf things from the park for the safety of all.
Great place to hang out with the GD, or exercise, or drive my RC trucks. Endless fun
Its a pretty place... A good place to take the little ones.
Grew up in Billings. The Park was fabulous all 4 seasons. So peaceful, love to people watch.
A gem of Billings. Not as expansive or elaborate as Central Park in NY, but an awesome space in the middle of town.
The best park in billings lots of shade and things for kids and adults tennis frisby golf
