Great place to take a walk with your 4 legged kids

Its basically on the outskirts of town. Fair sized, man made lake with stocked, variety of fish. No motorized craft allowed on the lake. There are picnic shelters, kids play ground, paved parking and restrooms. The waters edge is a work in progress with some beach areas and a boat ramp. No overnight camping. A great day trip.

Love this place since a child. I sont swim in it but there are places to barbecue, and reatrooms.

Currently available to visit The State is draining to try and stop an invasive species of mussels, which seems to be an State wide issue Kudos for their efforts Beautiful Spot to just Look!! Peace Montana

I really like this lake, not only is it large enough to explore it has great picknick areas, walking trails. Its very clean and well taken care of.

The police or park staff need to patrol that park every hour. We needed a picnic table, but some lady watched her kids drag them into the lake. Then 2 slightly sober men decided to undress in front of my wife and granddaughter and go into the lake.

The water is great! Get in! The shore is easily accessible and spacious.

Looks like a great place to kayak or canoe, but was sadly disappointed with how the park was maintained. There were feathers all over, dead birds just laying on the path and no sign of anything alive wildlife wise.

A great park with great scenery. The playground utilizes recycled rubber as the base of the playground. It is way nicer than wood chips and worlds better than the the gravel I had as a child growing up during the 80s. There is a boat launch, a tiny beach, and a nice lake. A very nice park.

Nice location and great scenery. Good location for a family gathering, has everything you need. You can fish, barbecue, sit and eat, and then enjoy the view. But make sure are prepared for the little blood suckers because they come out in full effect. Id go back again.

Pre cold but thas bout it

In the 50’s and 60’s we used to have water skiing, boat races, swimming and fishing. It was such a fun place to spend the weekend and be able to go out after work with the boat and ski for a couple hours. As a youngster growing up in Wyoming, my parents belonged to a boat club and the Billings club would invite several clubs to a regatta, a weekend of races and sharing food and just having fun. Ahhh the good old days.

Nice place to take the kids to splash around

Non-residents pay six bucks per vehicle. There were workers present but litter all over the ground and no toilet paper in the rest rooms. Locals were doing donuts in the lot. Were road tripping so weve acquainted ourselves with many parks and this one was okay but there are definitely better.

The hypodermic needles were unflavored this past year and quite frankly my pie was no where near as good as the year previous. The sunlight they store underneath the waves is calming. I can only assume its bioluminescence of a creature or creatures planted there by an unknown entity. Anyway the potato salad I found here once was fermented enough it gave me a buzz. Stay hydrated.

Would the water to a bit more clean

Small lake. Play ground. Nice little beach. Running/walking trail around the whole lake. Small dog park. Great place to burn off energy for little ones.

I love this park and the lake. I just dont visit as much as I should.

A fun city park with water activities. A decent inland beach. A dog run, and an around the lake walk path provide hours of safe fun for the family.

A beautiful lake right in town and watching the sunset there was breathtaking

Really liked this location because its close to home, and its a good place to learn to kayak. If youre not into hearing screaming kids, go to the other side of the lake and bring an anchor. If youre not into barking dogs, stay on the side where the kids are. If you dont like either... this may not be the place for you.

Its a nice place to go fishing or sit on the beaches around the lake but as of right now theres no swimming or anyting Im not sure whats going on with the water at the time besides the algae problem but they will get that solved

I like walking around the lake. Its peacful and some wildlife around.

Ive been fishing here quite a few times. Usually catch a lot of small perch and rainbow trout using worms as bait. One time in early summer I was there I caught 2-4 pound bass every time I cast out using a spinner. There is a nice walking trail around the lake and a pretty good playground for children. Fish and Wildlife has their county headquarters here as well so you can get a fishing license if you need one or just go look at the exhibits they have inside. Overall, its a good place to go with your family or go by yourself for a walk or run. There is no alcohol allowed in the park so dont bring any beer fishing haha

A summer must. I was really impressed with how well maintained the park was, its changed so much, and for the better. If you havent been in some time be sure to give this place a chance. Even I took a swim and I used to be terribly afraid of the water there

Decent sized pond which is great for paddle boarding or kayaking. Im not much of a lake swimmer, but there was plenty of action there as well. No motor sports. 10 minutes from my house. Definitely doing again.

Love fishing there where I had to move Lake Elmo is a great place to take the family and go fishing I used to spend a lot of time up there as a kid and then I got an adult with friends and family it was close to where we used to live just a fun place all the way around when we come through there in the spring well definitely have to go by there and its also a cool building next door at the fishing game building you still are going in there and looking around the people that work at the fwp office and Billings are super nice
