Great trail area for mountain biking. We were walking, so there was some hopping on and off the trail for bikes. However, there was plenty of room to do so.
Lots of parking. Spectacularly good trail signage. REALLY appreciate the one way structuring. Makes the trails really enjoyable!
Place for everyone can ride. From beginners to experts fun for all.
Really great trails, although they can get a bit dusty at times. PLEASE keep your E-Bike/Pedal Assist off these trails. It is posted at every sign and intersection that they are NOT allowed.
While this trail system may not be as technical as other networks (Such as in BC, etc.) there is still lots of fun to be had. Due to the lack of elevation gain on rides you can easily hammer out a 25-35km route in a few hours and take in some amazing views. Lots of trails so you can create an awesome loop and not ride the same trails. Skills area is fantastic as is the parking lot and facilities. Trail heads and crossings are super well marked. If you are into gravel riding you could probably ride most of these trails on a gravel bike but probably not as much fun as on a mountain bike. Family and beginner friendly and I cant wait to return!
Great trails for everyone.
The jump park is nice but all other trails are way to long with basically no features. This is especially true at phils trailhead, where accessing more than a few trails right there js a massive pain, and the trails arent nearly fun or interesting enough to warrant doing the boring flat trails to them. Not worth it.
Great trails for all skill levels. Tons of space.
Definitely worth your time if you are in Bend.
Very nice selection of mtb trails. Mainly Blue and Green with a few Black trails further out. Easy access from town for quick rides. Even when it is crowded you can always find a trail to yourself.
Fun trails for every level rider.
Nothing spectacular. But lots of options. Also lots of other trail users.
Great spot for hiking and biking. Large unpaved parking lot. Very clean bathrooms.
Starting to have crowding issues so make sure you are up to speed on trail etiquette so you dont get hurt or mean mugged by some judgy riders. Its an amazing trail system with flowy climbing and safe but exciting payoff on the down.
Fun trails but super crowded
One of my favorite places on earth.
We all know about it. Awesome trails. Not for beginners or really for novices. If you show up here ride seriously the trail and other riders demand it. Not a joke! Yeah, Im not local but ride here three or four times a year.
What a truly great place. Quite possibly the best trail system we’ve found anywhere. We love finding new places to walk when we come to Bend and this is a keeper! It’s a mountain bike riders mecca but great for walkers and trail runners too. There’s plenty of parking and decent toilet facilities alongside a fun kids bike bumps area. We did one trail which was really well marked. We didn’t download the map as we snapped a pic of the map at the car park to take with us.We’ll be back!
Its waaay too crowded. Sad what has happened to Bend. Too many people.
The best place in North America to go Mt. biking - bar none.
Its a parking lot, what do you want?
Fun trails for mountain biking, all levels
Fast, flowy trails - time to practice your high speed cornering!
Nice trails, pretty crowded, even off peak times. Still fun though.
Beautiful maintained trails
Clean bathroom and lots of parking. Still fills up fast on nice days but the number of trails that leave from this one trailhead makes it a hub for mountain bikers and hikers.
Plenty of parking in the area. Toilets and pump track. There is some signage to get you started. Look for the trail signs to get yourself aligned with the map and away you go. Plenty of options from this point. Kudos to Bend for the hours put into these trails.
Really cool pump track and jump course at the trail head
Great trails. I went early morning (camped off on a dirt road about a half mile up the road) so didnt experience the crowds everyone mentions. In fact, I only saw a couple people once I got on the trail. The one-way trail is great, too. Bathrooms were clean.
The place to go when visiting Bend, family friendly and conects to all other trails in the area so you can get a 10 mile ride or 100mile ride without ever doing the same trail twice
MTB essential stop. One of the best places in the PNW to go. Best signage out there is the no-ebike signs. People respect it too.
Smooth and well marked trails with clean restrooms at the trailhead.
Huge, dry, and a blast to ride. We had a great time riding the trails at Phils.
As for me and my house, we shall mountain bike. Thanks for your vision Phil. Now thats leaving a legacy!! Ps, it gets boring after a week or two please dont stay longer or buy real estate.
Phils trails are absolutley amazing... long easy gradual up with just enough slope to provide a great downhill run. Dont forget to climb to the lower and upper whoops trails.... they are the most fun you can have with your clothes on
Kicked my tail but has an amazing network of trails for suitable for everyone.
Great time always. Good bathroom facilities and parking. There are trails for all types of riders.
Hero dirrt dayNice and tacky. lovely ride.
Amazing mtb trails!
Great mtb rides accessible from everywhere
Super fun place to ride. It’s well known for a reason. Some of the trail markers are a little confusing but once you get the hang of it, it’s not too bad.
Great trail. It gets crowded, come early.
Great variety of trails. Super convenient to town. Can get busy.
Great trails and awesome views, the jump lines are some of the best in Oregon and the people who ride here are way nicer than they have a right to be.
Flowy, fun, well marked
Restroom is super dirty
Good access. Close to town
Pretty sweet riding
Dusty, wild snakes, spiders...stay away
Trails are obviously great. Good size parking lot, but still nearly full every time. Two standard outhouse-style bathrooms.
Crowded but cool. People are nice
Phenomenal mountain biking. Please mind the one way trails.
Nice access
Nice trailer, no steeps or variance in terrain. Good workout.
One way trails make it feel like you could be there alone even when the parking lot is packed.
That pump track is quite something.
Fantastic area with miles and miles of trails. My favorite place in the whole world.
Only gave it a 4 today because it was still too muddy to ride. Our fault for being overly excited in the spring!
Epic trail!!!! Lots of uphill for some epic downhill
Bends #1 starting point for single track mountain biking & trail running awesomeness. Beginner to intermediate trails. Miles and miles and miles.......to Mt. Bachelor and beyond if you wish.
Normally very busy but if you want a great place to start on the mountain bike trails this is the place
Web of mtb trails.
Fun mountain biking for all levels!
Well laid out trail network, ample signage.
Great place to mountain bike . Make sure you review the maps
Great family riding area!
Defines great cross country riding!
One of my favorites in central Oregon! Allot of fun!
Mtn. Biking meca. Most trails are fast and flowing, not steep. Really fun. And my boys like the jump lines at the trailhead, and now they are ready to enjoy the upper slalom course.
It is probably good that this is reported as closed, because it simply is NOT the Phils Trailhead anyway. Instead search for Phils Trailhead Bathroom to find the real Phils starting location location.
Great trails for mountain biking. There are trails for all levels.
A great place to start an awesome ride...
A trail for everybody
Great system of trails for all abilities
Great mtn biking trails!
An awesome trail!
Wow
Go early.
Great times
Crushing
Lots of trails to ride
Bring your mountain bike and your legs.
I almost died
Something to ride here for everyone.
