Brooks park is Amazing! It’s small but it’s location along the west banks of the centerpiece of Bend; Mirror Pond. This is a perfect place to enjoy lunch, sunbathe, or launch some personal watercraft to explore the river above the park. Immediately downriver from the park is a bridge and a spillway that splits the accessibility while on the water. AN UNDERUSED AND OVERLY FANTASTIC PLACE!!! MUST SEE!!!!
Great little park! Perfect for a dog swim
Beautiful grass & walkways with reasonable launch, but severely limited parking on dangerously narrow two-way street. (that should be one way)
Quite and peaceful, 3 places to sit, one in the shade but its only a bench.
Has a little dock where you can put in your paddleboard/kayak what have you. Often lots and LOTSS of goose/duck poop.If youre brave with the poop ocean, you can float the river all the way down to here and not be getting out with the crowds at the other park. But be warned the poop swamp.
Love the dock there. Sit there and watch the crawdads on the bottom.
