What an absolutely lovely place to spend some time in nature! So many spots to sit and relax with your family along the river! Perfect places to bring the kiddos to play, lots of calm small places! There is a great walking trail and its right in town! Super stoked to have found this place! What is so cool is that next time we go back we will probably be in a different spot and have a different adventure!
Great access to trails and the river, and plenty of shallows near the bridge for littles to have fun safely. Great spot for walking and nature play, lots of side trails and rocks for clambering. Watch for bikes on the main trail and bridge. There is a port a potty on site, or it is a short walk upriver on the east side to pioneer park and real bathrooms.
When I first moved here it was a cool place to go hang out and nobody would be down there now it just yuppies
Cool place but you have to beat the crowds. Not the best family friendly place. More partying type people there.
Its a nice walk along the river, its good for mtn biking also. Dog walking and stroller friendly as well.
This is my favorite place to go with friends or just me and my dog. There are lots of puppers here and friendly people. Swimming, tanning or floating.
Gorgeous park. Would love to see it during the winter!
We LOVE this walk when were in Bend. We only discovered it last year and its a perfect walk when we stay in the Newport neighborhood in Bend. Parking is usually okay on 1st Street as there are only a couple of spots at the trailhead itself. Theres a port-a-potty right by the bridge for those who need it.Weve only walked north from here and have always loved it. The surface is great with a wide path. Not too many bikes use this trail but lots of walkers do. A couple of miles north you get great views overlooking the north of bend to the east.
Great little walk with kids and dog! Lots to see and play with!
Beautiful park lots to see and trails to walk or ride for miles!
Good fly fishing.

Extremely beautiful water with small rapids. Great for a walk and enjoy the day.
Good fishing my brother Darrell loves to fish there
Beautiful trail that is in city of Bend! Multi use, very clean, and a great section of the Deschutes River.
Awful. Dont go here.

Lovely green belt park. Bike friendly. Would have liked more time to explore the connected paths.
Beautiful spot on the river to watch kayakers practiceing rolling or to just walk along the water and enjoy nature.
A great place to start a walk north along the Deschutes river.
1st St rapid is a great place to practice white water kayak skills. A short piece of funny water, a bit of a hole to practice cartwheels, and basically get ready to run a river.
Lovely scenery. Easy walking/ bike trail.

This place is private and for river residents only
Beautiful walk! Easy trail for a leisurely walk. Turns into a mountain biking trail too. Many people enjoying the river, floating, swimming, sun bathing, and river boarding. Dog friendly!
One of our favorite places in Bend!
I love this place for more reasons than just an awesome place to go for a nice walk
Great little park that was a nice addition to the area. Not really any grass, but the point of this place isnt really that kind of park, it focuses on the Rapids and the river, which is great.
Nice walking trail
Awesome hiking, biking and running trails!
Only locals
Pleasant place right in the middle of the city. It always amazes me the gorgeous mountain views about 3 1/2 miles in! Can get a little crowded on weekends but thats to be expected of such a pretty and easily accessible running/biking path. Word of advice: keep your dogs on leash! Also, the path goes for about a mile and seems to end abruptly at the top of the golf course. Keep going down the hill and cross the street at the bottom to keep on the trail for another 3 miles till the end. Overall, its a great 8 mile running loop with a couple good hills here and there and packed trail terrain 90% of the way.
Its so cool the city built this park. The park forces the Deschutes River to wave in a way thats beneficial for wake boarders. Its also a beautiful, scenic area great for walks, jogging and picnics.
Great neighborhood park, nice place to cool off on hot summer days. The City of Bend really did make this a nice place by putting the bridge over the river. They spent of time planning it and making it ADA accessible.
Beautiful park!
Great Riverview trail for a walk, jog or bike ride.
My favorite easy walking trail. Springtime is best with yellow irises and the swans nest nearby. Most fragrant is early summer.
Absolutely beautiful! A very special place.
Great place to sit and think
One of the most beautiful parks in Bend.
Park was clean and well kept
Beautiful peaceful great vibes!

Nice out-of-the-way park on the Deschutes. Hidden picnic tables and benches, and nice walled off pool areas.

A great place to swim in, or reflect upon, the River. 2018: first swim April 25.
