Most city parks have good trails, but Rock Meadows has it all. Pathways and trails that navigate swamp, ridges, hills, riverbeds, forests and meadows. There is also a pitoresque Victory Gardens by one of the entrances.

I love taking my dog on walks here! It’s so beautiful and the trail usually isn’t too crowded.

Fascinating area. Given the layers of History behind it. Although, I wish it had more In Depth history divulged. And I wish that historical significance were maintained more properly. There were two old buildings near the lot, unfortunately Loser vandals got to one of them all too often, and the city chose to demolish rather than have a better up keep.

Beautiful community garden and apiary. Dusk hits the large field beautifully. Great for a quick local walk. Some mountain biking but doesnt interrupt the main walking paths.

Nice place to take a walk, have a picnic or ride a mountain bike (easy trails, nothing too demanding). There is also a swing for when you bring kids.

I was looking for a place to walk in nature and this park is great for snow shoes and cross country in the winter, not so much for walking. The only path that you can find are the ones made by the above. Beautiful park parking is minimal.

Rock Meadow is a well hidden gem of a natural park between Belmont and Waltham. It offers several trails in the woods where you feel miles away from civilization. Theres varied terrain and you can pick flat or hilly trails, which attracts walkers, runners, and mountain bikers. Enjoy it and dont forget your bug spray in the summer!

Great walking path through a beautiful meadow. Trails are well maintained and connect to the larger Beaver Brook Reservation. The trails are relatively flat so theyre good for families with kids and dogs. Good for walking/hiking, trail running, and biking (non-motorized). You can also connect to the trails at Lone Tree Hill by crossing over Mill Street. This place is a nice escape to nature very close to the city.

This is my go to place for Mt and cross bikes (and running). The area is a bit small but it has easy access to other trail networks. You can find easy trails or more challenging technical trails.

Too many mountain bikers. Rock Meadow used to be a quiet, peaceful place to enjoy wildlife and birds, but is getting over-run with bicyclist who are destroying the tranquillity that the meadow once had.
