Its like a tardis - much bigger than it looks from the outside! Varied landscape, well-maintained trails, great for kids. Lots of visitors on a autumn weekend afternoon, but not too busy to enjoy.

Beautiful area located in a wonderful spot. Ponds were low due to lack of rain, but affected areas were marked off and turtles & other creatures were protected.A caring staff pamper the habitats crew of lovely goats.A relaxing place for you and your family.Enjoy your visit!

Lately there seems to be a no dogs policy? Which is strange, in the past it was always fine to have a dog on leash, and everyone observed the policy. I used to donate to them but I will stop donating until they allow dogs again.

Pleasant suburban site with short yet tranquil trails. Visitor center has a few distractions for kids and restrooms. Also parking lot charging stations, if you drive an electric vehicle.

Great place for a family friendly walk through the woods. There are a number of small trails and loops. As well as a pond with lots of frogs, giant tadpoles (bullfrog) and turtles . We typically see a lot of chipmunk, some snakes and the occasional wild turkey.

Beautiful little nature reserve in the middle of suburbia. Cost US$4.00 ea. Nice well posted walks the longest about 5km inside the reserve. There is a longer walk that goes into a forestry beside the reserve. The attendants did lend us good binoculars for bird spotting at no extra charge. The trails are good for strollers or prams. Some might be a bit difficult for wheelchairs. Id ring first. The trails are covered in pine chip. All in all a nice experience.

Had to pay a annual family membership so my kids joined a lottery to attend a summer camp. They didnt get a spot and so we paid for absolutely nothing. Pretty twisted scam.

I absolutely love this beautiful forest. Moved to this area to be close....but, this puzzles me... I take my dog on walks, and I am always very respectful of the space, rules etc. He is big, but zéro disruptive. I notice a reluctance to be kind to dogs lately. A bowl of water used to be kept out, but not any more. My dog has cardiac heart failure. I bring him to give him happiness for his remaining days. He walks to the water bowl place every time, not believing its not there. But it isnt... Hope this is temporary.

Went there for a wedding. Nice setting with friendly staff. The problem is the food. Because there are no kitchen facilities, the food is prepared offsite by a caterer. The problem is that when you are served the food, it is cold!!! At least my meal was.

My daughter is participating in a homeschool naturalist program. She loves the program - both the indoor and outdoor activities. Today they were dissecting owl scat to find the bones, teeth, fur and claws of the animals that the owl ate.

I took a lot of classes here as a kid and still visit as an adult. Its a beautiful little pocket of green in the midst of the Belmont suburbs -- so beautiful that my parents got married there. Peep the library and touch tables in the building and the flower garden outside, the vernal pool during the spring, and look for frogs in Turtle Pond.
