Beautiful area located in a wonderful spot. Ponds were low due to lack of rain, but affected areas were marked off and turtles & other creatures were protected.A caring staff pamper the habitats crew of lovely goats.A relaxing place for you and your family.Enjoy your visit!
Lately there seems to be a no dogs policy? Which is strange, in the past it was always fine to have a dog on leash, and everyone observed the policy. I used to donate to them but I will stop donating until they allow dogs again.
Beautiful little nature reserve in the middle of suburbia. Cost US$4.00 ea. Nice well posted walks the longest about 5km inside the reserve. There is a longer walk that goes into a forestry beside the reserve. The attendants did lend us good binoculars for bird spotting at no extra charge. The trails are good for strollers or prams. Some might be a bit difficult for wheelchairs. Id ring first. The trails are covered in pine chip. All in all a nice experience.
Hidden gem of Belmont.Saw some deer and heard an owl.
I enjoyed doing my Daughters senior pictures here. What a Beautiful day very nice walking trails. 9/15/19
A great place to walk, the visitors center has public bathrooms and a water fountain.
Beautiful Place That is Perfect for a quick walk on a nice day
Fun little hiking area. Got to see turtles and other creatures. Staff are also very helpful.
Little piece of wild nature preserve upon a hill in Belment
Pretty noisy with camp kids. I like kids learning about nature but do they have to be so loud!
Had to pay a annual family membership so my kids joined a lottery to attend a summer camp. They didnt get a spot and so we paid for absolutely nothing. Pretty twisted scam.
I absolutely love this beautiful forest. Moved to this area to be close....but, this puzzles me... I take my dog on walks, and I am always very respectful of the space, rules etc. He is big, but zéro disruptive. I notice a reluctance to be kind to dogs lately. A bowl of water used to be kept out, but not any more. My dog has cardiac heart failure. I bring him to give him happiness for his remaining days. He walks to the water bowl place every time, not believing its not there. But it isnt... Hope this is temporary.
Very nice conservation area! Great to go with kids, or just to relax.
Beautiful resource close to Boston. In May, so much is in bloom, its the perfect time to go.
Loved this camp! The sanctuary is nice
Beautiful place. Took my 8yo daughter here and even on a hot summer day it was perfect. Saw frogs, turtles and goats, we loved it. Definitely recommend becoming a member.
The best Audubon park with trails full of life and education programs for both adults and kids. $4 parking fee, goats, gardens, herb garden. Lots of trails to hike. Be careful on approach, some if the road is not paved!
Great exercise. Get outdoors
A place to visit. Beautiful nature and colors. Enthusiastic guide.
What a beautiful place! Hidden little gem right outside the city. Its hikeable for all ages. My grandkids really enjoyed watching the turtles hop in and out of the pond.
Great wildlife habitat close to the city. Very nice with kids of all ages, and short or longer walks.
Went there for a wedding. Nice setting with friendly staff. The problem is the food. Because there are no kitchen facilities, the food is prepared offsite by a caterer. The problem is that when you are served the food, it is cold!!! At least my meal was.
Lovely place and... Goats!
Conveniently located piece of nature great for taking young family members to explore.
My daughter is participating in a homeschool naturalist program. She loves the program - both the indoor and outdoor activities. Today they were dissecting owl scat to find the bones, teeth, fur and claws of the animals that the owl ate.
Beautiful place, fantastic programs for kids. My two young boys love going there.
I took a lot of classes here as a kid and still visit as an adult. Its a beautiful little pocket of green in the midst of the Belmont suburbs -- so beautiful that my parents got married there. Peep the library and touch tables in the building and the flower garden outside, the vernal pool during the spring, and look for frogs in Turtle Pond.
Beautiful nature preserve! Come early before the crowds and enjoy the serenity
Nice place to walk and embrace the nature.
Close to city and a nice getaway into nature for simple hikes. I like that they have activities for kids and communities in this place.
Beautiful space and grounds, lots of things to do for families and individuals!
Great trails, a nice calm location with many trees. The visitor center is educational with clean restrooms.
Went to a wedding here. The grounds are very well kept and the staff was extremely polite. Very different from the everyday grind.
Had fun walking around the lake. Got to see some turtles and Canada goose
Great place for a walk through the woods. There are goats that they use for keeping the invasive plants under control. You can volunteer Wednesday afternoons or sometimes on Saturdays to help maintain grounds.
Beautiful hidden gem. Well maintained
