It would be way better and get more stars if the town or the state would send a cleanup crew and pick up the copious amount of trash and litter not only in the river, but along the banks and the woods adjacent to the river. If you have a dog that likes to swim its a good option. I would not let my kids in the water though.

Easy to find, portapotty at parking lot, kids were happy walking/biking, few nice views of the water. There was a spot that veered off the trail closer to the water with a picnic table. Limited shade on the trails so sunscreen recommended! We crossed 2 bridges before we had to turn around, both had some older looking graffiti but nothing to stop our nice afternoon. Will definitely return to walk further down the trail!

My daughter Ashley Ortiz-Milne died. I found this place and it has brought me a sense of calm before I lay her to rest. Thank you.

Nice trail. Quiet. But ATVs and Dirt bikes are starting to tear it up. Even though it is posted. Still a nice spot for now.

Very peacefully and great place to take pics. Saw a bald eagle last time i was there. And the small beach has such soft skin

This trail along the river is a hidden gem. Fairly flat rustic trail winds alone desire the river with a few bridges. The only strange spot is when the trail comes out to a business parking lot, but continues on the other side.

I think its beautiful it has great views and a great spot for photos. Especially senior photos. The only thing is lately it seems to be a hangout for teenagers. The people that live local seem to fly around on ATVs and dirt bikes without any care for people around them.

Peaceful, beautiful walking trail. It isnt paved and there are many side trails to get a better view of the river. Unfortunately many of the trail signs have been vandalized, but the nature is pretty undisturbed.

Great trails for walking (with or without dog) biking, jogging along Merrimack River. Boat launch under bridge where dog can cool off but not recommended for swimming-current too strong Trails kept very clean, mostly easy to follow except when reaching Commerce Dr-you have to go off trail up road through Amosog CrossFit parking lot to pick it up again but if you look closely there are signs

Its easy to find if you have internet access. You take station Rd in Bedford til you see a dirt road on left and the 293 over pass follow down to parking lot trail is thru the gate that is just north of parking lot in the parking lot. Trail runs parallel with Merrimack River and deadends about where the 293 on ramp runs out onto 293 north. Its a good place to see bald eagles there are several nest in the area.
