Enjoyed the nice room and walk in shower
Every bit of todays Holiday was special with LAuberge Casino hosting fabulous Thanksgiving Buffet. All professionally handled for covid19 safety factors. Food was tasty, well presented, great staff. Service was 5 star. Across the board from valet, entrance staff and buffet staff, hotel, and janitorial. Thanks for job well done. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone we notice you,and sacrifices your family time to make our family enjoy Thanksgiving.
Very clean and nice atmosphere. Right in the river. Slot and table games. Non smoking and smoking areas. Everyone is nice. Cleaning always keeping busy cleaning.
Positive: Clean, spacious Negative: Pool was over-crowded.
IMPOSSIBLE to get a drink when playing! Spend your time and money elsewhere if you’re looking to have fun while spending your money. Very sad
They are practicing social distancing on the machines. The staff were nice and prompt. It was my first time going there. Everything was gorgeous. I went to the buffet with some friends. I enjoyed a few items there but not enough for me to go back. Overall I liked the casion.
This was my first time visiting this casino and I was impressed by the size and variety of slots. I like it way better than the boat casinos because it didnt make me feel claustrophobic and it had a smoking area were you can play slots and the area had a nice view of the river. I will be visiting LAuberge casino again.
Hotel was clean, but the table game was not good. I didn’t know that you have that you have to swipe play on the table. I sit down for about 2 minutes on a table game, suddenly a guy come behind me and said I am next. So, I had to get up and let him sit. The dealer should tell me not to sit, this is my first time at this casino and going to be the last time. For hotel lobby or hotel you have to take two separate elevators!
Great place! Affordable hotel rates and very nice rooms! I do wish they had another restaurant to choose from BUT the one they do have was really good and well priced
Was not clean. Restaurants were closed with notice on website or front desk
Great stay!!
I would love to give this property a higher review. The rooms are clean and nice, the pool area is beautiful and well designed. There is some nice shopping and barber of site. However, the restaurants lose points, the Market Pantry had a poor breakfast selection, the breakfast buffet is a bit pricey and the other option had tons of open tables but a 30 minute wait. We attempted to check in but were told the property was completely sold out but then I sat in the lobby and booked a room online, so clearly there were rooms available.
Stayed here with my husband and grandfather(2 separate rooms) on 11/18 on our way to FL from TX. Went down to the casino around 9am until grandfather woke up. Did not check out of my room and had the do not disturb light on. Came back up to my room around 10 to gather our things, and someone had come in our room, stripped the sheets, and stole whatever belongings we had left in our room(while still checked in with DND light on mind you). When trying to retrieve my belongings, was told by whom cleaned our room that they didn’t find anything in the room and basically we couldn’t get our things back. The staff was anything but helpful. Will not be staying here again
Clean property and they took all the proper precautions to make sure it was a safe and socially distanced environment
Plenty of slots and table games. The gaming was fun. Nice for a little get away.
My friends and I were waiting on a roulette table so we sat down at one that did not have a dealer (only one table was open). They opened a table for us. All four of us had money out getting chips when the pit boss walked up and said I’m sorry we had two people on a waiting list in front of you all and made two people from our party get up. We all got up and left.Do not come here if you want to have a good time with friends.
5 star all the way. Clean well kept and first class serves.
The hotel because of the bed is horrible, if i could give it a -5 star I would. I think the mattress in my room is older than I am., JK, but really how can you have a hotel and have the worst beds in the world, they are lower than a chair, no support, and did i say old. i should have stayed at the best western at least they have better beds.
Positive: Beautiful place to stay and great staff!! Negative: No way! Everything was exceptional!
Spent 1400 between two people. Nothing to show for it. Keno is tighter than I ever seen anywhere else.
Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Loved the experience
Easily best casino in Baton Rouge. 4 stars because of the diipsy doo to get in if self parking. You have to take 2 elevators, an escalator, and walk a mile. Nice atmosphere for a casino.
Had a awesome time 3 out of 4 that went left with $1000.00+ more in our pockets
Its a great place to go with friends and family to have fun and have Lunch or Dinner or both and they open 24 hours a day so if u cant come today there is always tomorrow.
There was no help and I would like a refund I didn’t even touch the room
Lauberge is a nice little escape in Baton Rouge. Far superior to the boat casinos in town, with better service, food, slots, views, vibe, and decor. Taj at the check-in desk was extremely clean cut and professional. He ensured that my wife and I had the perfect room for our wedding anniversary, and promptly fulfilled all of our requests. We went down to 18 Steak and had a wonderful meal. Geremy took great care of us, he should be requested if working. Funny, and went above and beyond for my wife and Is anniversary celebration. Christine at PJs made the best cappuccinos weve ever had, and was very friendly to deal with. We sought a place to relax for the weekend and LAuberge easily made that happen. We will be back.
Customer service needs improvement. Casino mostly penny slots with too limited availability for table games. But, the facility looks nice.
Affordable thoughtfully designed rooms, and interestingly a world-class restaurant. The games are fun and you can win money whats not to like?
Great experience. Recommend to all my buddies coming to BR
Will not return ever ! This is the least hospitable casino I have ever been to. The security working the entrance to the floor where rude and unprofessional to the point of screaming and waving as me and my wife tried to enter! The screaming and waving was her trying to direct us where to stand for a temperature reading. But we stood there confused because we couldnt understand her. So she got louder and visibly angry. Did not even get an apology after speaking to the floor manager. Rude, unprofessional, and unacceptable! Only gave one star because I couldnt give none!
We came as a group of 4 and sat down at A closed table because the other open table was full. After 10 to 15 minutes they open the table up and right before we were ready to play they said they 2 people were on a waiting list but were not at the tables.Never in all of my years at casinos have I experienced this. Extremely rude not to announce this up front. Would recommend driving by this place and head to the next casino in town
LAuberge Casino is absolutely beautiful! I was very impressed with how clean the slot machines where. Compared to other Casinos the buttons where not sticky, could tell the games are well kept and cleaning is a priority. On top of great playing experience, the customer service was outstanding. I never found myself having to look around to get a drink or refill. I would highly recommend LAuberge Casino and happily rate it 5 Stars.
My review is customer service based. The hotel it self is pretty, not the same caliber of the Lake Charles location unfortunately due to location. From the moment I arrived the service has been sub par. The valet service personnel wasnt anywhere to be found. We waited about ten minutes for assistance no one ever came out. I urgently needed to use the ladies room so I parked( still awaiting valet) and entered the casino side. That was poor customer experience #1. Upon my entry I saw a employee of the hotel cleaning. I asked where the restrooms where located, she ignored me. I assumed maybe she didnt hear me, so I asked again louder. She just waved her hand in a non specific manner. I repeated my question in Spanish just in cause there was a language barrier, same response. This was poor customer experience #2. I handled my business messing up my clothes in the process, unfortunately. Went back out side still no valet, my mother who was waiting in the car assured me Noone had even came out. So we call for assistance, and are told valet is closed, thats all no further assistance. My mother is disabled, she cannot walk long distances, nor can she assist me with luggage. Thats why valet is so important for us. So we check in Mr. Al was very engaged and informative i truly appreciated his assistance. No bell hop was available so I carried pur bags up on a bell hop trolly with instructions to leave it in the hall as they only have one. We had a requested room with a view of the river. The view is not great at all. So after all these things, I reached out to a supervisor named Brian. He left much to be desired, i wasnt requesting anything from him, but his tone and wording made it seems as if I should just accept sub par quality service, because of Covid 19. I work in customer service as a supervisor, so I do understand that there are shortages in the work force, I understand that things may take longer. I truly tried to be kind and understanding, however poor customer service is still poor customer service. Paraphrasing his response, There is only one person for valet, this is only view there is what do you want me to do. For me a simply apology would have been sufficient. Instead when I said valet wasnt present, his answer I can see him now, he is there now. No empathy, no care for the customer. Also we needed to extend our stay for an additional night. We were told at the checkin desk that we went through a 3rd party and needed to contact them to extend our stay. When we called the 3rd party, they called Lauberge to extend and were told that we need to come down stairs to book our additional night. The amount of misdirection, misinformation, and poor customer service is astounding. This is not a luxurious establishment, this is not the caliber of service they are supposed to known for.
Absolutely a great casino enjoyed myself and had a ball and even one a little money I saved you feeling lucky find that one machine and stick to it if you know how to play properly you will leave with something
Good food only bad thing is they rushed to close the buffet at exactly 9:00pm instead of allowing the guests to enjoy the buffet other casinos I have been to for example like silver slipper in bay St. Louis they let you enjoy your food/buffet as long as u make it in by the closing time the buffet doesn’t close until the last guest has left
It was a great relaxing stay. However it was very hard to get a drink at the casino. Understandably of course but if the bars are closed then add more servers on the floor. Also there was an eyelash on the wall in the bathroom. Other than that very nice stay
Im Sorry bt the L’Auberge in Lake Charles is so better than this one at least adults and KIDS can go to the pool and to go out to eat with them and THE WIFI is a no for me cs everytime when i enter the hotel it turns on and off .
Super clean! One of the best casinos that we have been to! We certainly will be back!
Wonderful place, the ambience is makes you feel like you are a vacation every time you visit
We used the room comps for Sunday until tomorrow and the customers have been more of a problem than the actual place. The first night, while standing on the balcony, we watched a young lady walk out to the parking area and literally walking around aimlessly. We decided to watch her and she went to a truck and checked both doors, then climbed in the back of the truck and went in the toolbox, took out a can of spray paint and she spray painted the toolbox and the top of the truck, put it back sat on the back of the truck and then came back inside and went to the casino. This morning as I was on the balcony, a young lady who looked like she was tweaking out so bad. She asked me to use my phone claiming that someone stole her car. Well, as she is on the phone, jonathan, an employee of lauberge told her that the police were downstairs and she needed to talk to them. He told me that she had been all over the building and that he didnt believe someone had stolen her car. Then, an officer walks out and knows the girl by name, telling her to get off of the phone. He said he knew he recognized the girl, her name was megan and asked her when she got a car. So I guess they knew she didnt have a car! Crazy!! Needless to say, I got my phone back and went back to my room. Then, tonight as my Mom and I are on the balcony for our last night, a young black couple approached us asking for a cigarette and asked if we had money to give them to go back and gamble because they lost all their money. Now, tomorrow morning we are leaving and our time here was being harassed by people than actually enjoying our time here. There are cameras everywhere, is anyone actually watching them?! I mean, it seems this place is getting like an average hotel, do they rent rooms by the hour too? Its sad when you think your in a safe place to relax and nothing but creepy people are everywhere! The last time I was here, I paid for the amenities and the wifi barely worked, we were so high in the building, we couldnt cool off. Im very disappointed in this place....
We wish we had looked elsewhere. My husband and I planned a trip to L’Auberge Baton Rouge for my 30th birthday. The issues started from the moment we checked in until our check out. We booked our room ahead of time, paid in full 3 days prior, and confirmed our reservations as per a text from the hotel the day of. Upon check in we were told that our room was “given away”. How on earth a room we paid for in full 3 days prior was “given away” is beyond me. An hour and a half later (by this point it’s 1am) we had a room. The room we were given initially was already not what we reserved and wreaked of cigarettes. We didn’t even think smoking was permitted in the hotel at all (it isn’t), so we were confused. We walked back down, alerted the receptionist and thankfully, they did move us rooms. The following night we were almost turned away from entering the casino. My husband and I were separated at the entrance of the casino for “verification”. My husband was advised to stand exactly in one area, at least 4ft from me, while my identity was verified. We had visited the casino at least 3 previous times with no such process of verification, it was strange, but times are weird; so, whatever is necessary..I guess. Naturally, we gave each other a look. At which point the woman behind the podium asked “Why you have an attitude?”. I was caught off guard by this, and responded “excuse me” as I thought I misheard her. She repeated herself and I stated that I didn’t have an attitude. Our ID’s were checked (as normal) and I was told that my ID was expired by 1 day as my birthday had been the day prior. We had already been made aware of my ID being expired the previous visits but as per casino policy, they allow an ID to be used up to 7 days. We stated just that, that we were aware but had been allowed in each time in the last 24 hours. I had my temperature checked and was cleared and so then I turned and asked the same woman if there was anything else she needed from me. She said no, and I turned to wait inside the casino for my husband’s identification to be verified. As I am walking away, the same woman loudly says, “Ma’am?! Ma’am?! Please go wait over there while I call my supervisor”. At which point I gave my husband a second look. Upon the supervisors arrival we were told we wouldn’t be allowed in as the representative sensed ‘attitude’ from me. After what felt like 15 minutes of asking what I did wrong to be denied service, we were finally allowed in.Days later to read google reviews similar to our experience I felt validated in my feelings about the representative, the supervisor, and the establishment as a whole. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. We never take vacations but had high hopes for this trip. I will say, we got better service at the McDonalds on the way home (in Vidor,TX) than we did at both the hotel and casino at L’Auberge BR.Please, take your hard earned money elsewhere, it is not appreciated here.
Not good, Awful slot machines was not paying off at all, not even giving bonuses.i prefer playing slots in Vicksburg Ms.and Gulfport. Ive played at LAuberge casino and not ever received an free buffet
They have a vallet parking, there staff were very nice to help us out. Checking in is pretty easy. Beautiful hallway and fireplace. Need to use your room key card to access elevator to your room. Room is clean, very comfy bed. i like it because the bathroom and shower are separated. The bathroom has its own television which is pretty cool. visited casino, there’s a walkway from the hotel going there in the 2nd floor. Love the gym and the rooftop pool. Would love to stay here again next time. thank you. you guys keep up the good work! n_n
Professional, clean, and Buffet Awesome for dining in. Will always come back.
Good food and clean rooms all I need now is loose slots
My Fiancée and I are transplants from North Louisiana and have barely left our one mile radius of home and work. When Better Than Ezra was going to play I was determined, I had no idea what L’Auberge was or how it would be. I was beyond impressed from the moment I pull up to the valet to when I get back in my vehicle. Staff is super pro, and the musicians I’ve seen have beenSuperb.Cara from Pants Party is a pal of mine and that was an amazing show. I am proud to tell anyone I encounter that L’auberge is a must stop at least once when passing through BR. You won’t regret it.CheersHeather Edwards
Best staff ever. So helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean with a good view
Great Service and fast. Games are accessible and easy to use. Cleaning staff is ever present, drink staff and technicians are always available. Security is friendly and helpful.
The snow crab legs was very spice. Couldnt really eat them. Then has to wait several minutes to get some more. Very dissatisfied.
It was great I enjoyed myself and food I will be back
Very clean and easy to maneuver, personal was very helpful and nice! Overall a wonderful experience
New mattress please, my honey had to sleep in the slump that was in the middle of the bed !! Hurt his back
Love to play here, even if I dont win!!
Beautiful and nice place to stay and play.
Honestly the hotel is great . Very unique and nice scenery, however the customer service is horrible . I had a accident with the front desk lady Sharon who was extremely rude to me and my friend ( I feel because we were young because I noticed other guest she was sweet too ) .. but when reporting the issue there team was on her side . Not even considering that she was rude and that that was our main problem, they just constantly kept stating policy and as I explained to several managers. Rules are rules we have no problem following them BUT we are adults and people and deserve the same respect as older adults in the hotel which we were not given by there front desk . I travel a lot, and I’m big on customer service so if I didn’t have such a bad experience with the front desk I would’ve stayed here again and referred but honestly for those prices for the horrible guest service it’s not worth it . Spend your money elsewhere.
This casino is very clean and classy. The rooms are nice as well but only have showers. They are nice huge marble showers though. If your looking for a relaxing bath then you must get a suite. The suite is amazing. Huge marble bath tub with separate grand shower and lots of mirrors. Great for that special occasion.
The food was awesome and the service I will be going back soon
This review is for Canadian Snow Crab Buffet only....The snowcrab was good, and it was theOthe thing that was edible to be honest. My friend and I tried a lot of items being served (boiled shrimp to creme brulee), and actually had to spit most of it out into paper napkins.Disgusting!
Nice place but they’ll take your money
Me and two of my friends went to the Lauberge and it was nice. This was my second time going. ( THE BUFFET) Yall the food is FANTASTIC; literally everything I ate was good. The wait isnt as long if u get in line on time. Customer service is great and the waiters are polite. Fridays are seafood night and the snow crabs are bomb. I swear I ate for two and Im not pregnant.. Then u have the casino ; what more could u ask for
Felt discriminated against by a floor a white woman working in the pit and the white lady working the roulette table after Kenny left made me no difference I did not lose any money & will never play any of my money there will go to the Hollywood 1st where many gamblers black & white prefer over you guys you say only 4 people I step back so does another lady but when her white boyfriend says something about her you apologize to him but never asked the white man standing by the ball to move I cant make this up they were specifically discriminating against me which I have never felt before except once in life this here made me feel like a target was placed on my back not saying everyone at the casino is this way but those two I will not forget will update with names when I have them didnt stay at the hotel but I have before
Crisp and clean facility. Good food and fun. Love the view!
First time visitors. With all the required new restrictions put on place, by uninformed public officials, we still had a decent time. We look forward to visiting after the hysteria is over. The staff we interacted with were nice and helpful.
Stay away from the buffet. It has gone downhill since reopening. Serving staff seems to have a chip on their shoulder towards serving. They are also rationing your plate. Only one vegetable to choose from. Takes forever in line to get food. Thank the lord if was free
We went on a Saturday to the Buffet and they had endless crab legs and they were awesome, best we have ever had. We didnt play no games but it was a awesome experience and we will definitely go back !! Plus the mixes drinks were awesome.
My stay was fun until the cleaning lady decided to wake everyone up at 7am to clean a work next to us and turned up the tv up so loud. I literally thought it was the tv in the bathroom. She did it 2 nights in a row, I got no sleep at all. The pool was very relaxing until I found out that it closes at 8pm! We pay all this money to stay but it seemed like everything closes so early except the casino. The employees are so mean especially in the casino, they kept snatching my drivers license out of my hand then said my picture didn’t match, no one served me drinks at all, and when I finally found a bartender she acted liked she didn’t want to serve me. L’Auberge is to expensive for the employees to act that way towards customers. I definitely see why people go to the one in Lake Charles.
Im very happy with the experience and cleanliness
Love it but way to many people in there during this pandemic definitely has more people in there then they suppose to
This use to be my favorite casino, but not anymore! First we were treated horribly by a rude casino employee. Then when my husband tried to reply to his rudeness, the employee raised his hand and said I dont want to hear what you have to say. We had some kids next to our room that slammed doors, and yelled in the hallway until well after midnight. Then at 4:30 the same kids woke us up doing the same thing. After trying to go back to sleep, the maid was knocking on our door at 8:00, to see if we had left so she could clean our room. Needless to say we got up and left! I will no longer recommend this place to anyone!
Lost $60 in 10 minutesGreat place
Beautiful room, very spacious. Only issues that I have is there is no refrigerator or microwave.
Beautiful atmosphere. Nice variety of slot machines that have a decent payout rate.
Upscale, nice atmosphere, easy to get from your room to the Casino. Always a welcome basket full of treats in the room. Food and entertainment was just great! Security was easy to recognize. Great get -a-way.!!
Great dinner at the buffet. This Wednesday night Lobster was included. Full buffet and 6 whole boiled lobsters for $60 plus tax. HUGE selection including boiled shrimp, prime rib, frog legs, various vegetables, soups, salads and deserts. All were very tasty!
Always a blast here. Good machines, great food and drinks. The rooms are some the best Ive stayed in for a casino. The atmosphere is great and people are very friendly!
Love the view from the deck. Very welcoming place.
Nice place, but did have to go order a drink no one was making rounds
Slots are not loose enough! Had to wait a while to get a room and the drinks came slow on the floor.
Rooms were nice if you have a suite. The staff was rude. Had a guy come bang on our door saying we were supposed to be out when there was clearly a mix up with our reservation but he acted like we stole something or like he was reposessing a car. Completely uncalled for and will make us never come back there. We ended up leaving and booking with another hotel for the last night.
Crawfish were very good. Each batch tasted different but overall very good
Great place,Nice restaurants.
Super fun! Staff was friendly at every stop, the band played great music and we felt super fancy!
Visited for the evening. The casino was beautiful and off the river with spacious decks. We had fun. I did wish they had a special drink menu like most places do.
Well, I played the tables tonight and my dealer was awesome and she made me laugh even when I was losing. I wish all of the staff was as great as she was. I think her name was Chastity and the other dealer Ms B was just as friendly as she was. So I had a great experience tonight
The buffet is so inconsistent, one trip it is good the next it isnt. Definitely not worth the price.
Everything about this place has consistently captured my attention and my gratitude. Its not far from any place worth visiting in Baton Rouge.
Try and try to make a reservation. I hear them answer and then click and hang up on me. I would hate to have a business run by someone like that. Called over and over and they would hang up Everytime. Go to the front desk and no one is hardly ever there. Must be nice to work there though.
It wasnt too good.. I didnt win anything.. the machines are tight.
Great venue for a concert. Not a bad seat in the house, good sound in the room. Mark Chestnut and Joe Diffie put on wonderful show.
No one offered a drink. Had to wait in long line for card. Atmosphere was off.
Terrible. Just plain terrible. Overpriced for absolutely nothing. I will NEVER come here again.
