Brought two 10 yr olds for a fun day. This is a bitter sweet review. Great customer service, great very considerate gentlemen at the bowling counter, service with our food was over the top. Couldnt have a better waitress. Then comes time to cash in and the boys pick their prizes. The 2 girls in the prize area were very nice. But...the whole time while the boys deciding what they wanted, I heard the F bomb numerous times, get to the counter and 4 employees standing discussing a girl being knocked up again, should tell the MF to leave (we heard about the NF for awhile, without the abbreviations), just the boys and I stood at the counter ever so patiently, one girl did stop and looked at us,but all 4 continued to discuss the knocked up friend with the MF boyfriend! Finally I said excuse me, can we check out, was told to hold on! Really after being there for 2 hrs, spending quite a bit of $, (thats not the point). But having two 10yr olds giggle at F..this, and MF that. Lets think about this, probably 90% of people in the prize area are kids! Not that the boys havent heard it before, but come on, watch your mouths, and pay attention to customers, not telling us to wait so you can finish conversation. As I said, bitter sweet experience!
I cannot express the extremely amazing time we had!! We ate a huge meal there yesterday and Ricardo was our server!! In all the craziness he did an amazing job!! I’ve been at places where they never show up to you table and no one is in the building. This man ran around serving tables faster than I have ever seen!! We got our food in such an awesome time frame i was impressed!!!After last night if this man don’t get a raise, then not one person in there should be getting one. Never seen a server do what he did last night!! Never!!!The place was packed!!! Ricardo, you the man!!!
My daughter and her friends had a blast for her 17th birthday! Lots of entertainment and safety guidelines posted and in place.
The food was great here! The pizza was better than almost every place I go to get pizza. The chicken tenders are real good I was really satisfied with the food. The place and atmosphere was clean. I was just kind of disapointed 3 of the games in the arcade I really wanted to play didnt work. I look forward to coming back for the food and to go bowling.
The kids wanted to visit, so I took my son for his B-Day it was ok. Games system eats up your credits. They know how to attract with the bright lights but not worth it in cost in my opinion. To be honest I get more out of Chuck E Cheese with the time pass.
My granddaughter had her bd party here. The employees were so kind. Our hostess was terrific with the kids. This is really a great place!!
I really enjoyed Main Event. The arcade is really fun and there’s a huge selection. The bowling alley was very clean and enjoyable. There was a bar and pool tables for the adults who want to enjoy time with friends or themselves while the kids bowl, play the arcade, or do the ropes course. An over all great place.
Very family friendly. The staff is most helpful & they make you want to keep coming back
Fun with terrible food. Its a chucky cheese for adults. Machines kept breaking but they worked hard to get them back up.
Laser tag, zip lining, and lots of games for kids. Food is great. Bar for adults
The staff handled our bowling/laser tag event so well! Diamond and Destiny are absolutely amazing hostesses. They made sure our every need was tended to and even helped me rush to put up and take down our decorations. The place is very clean and follows all protocols necessary to stay safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. They really helped to make my sons celebration a memorable one. Thanks yall!
I loved it...just the the wait outside was long but inside was alot of fun
Underrated place, However, fire some of the lousy ones and overall ratings will increase.
Place is very big with lots do to. We had a bday party there and thought the 10 kid party and thought it was a great deal for what we paid. We got 1 hour bowling 1 game laser tag 1 go through gravity rope course and 10 20 dollar game play cards. We also got 2 large pizzas and drinks for all. Birthday kid got ice cream 1000 tickets loaded onto his game play card. All of that cost around 375 dollars and came with a waiter who stays with you whole time to direct things . We would do it again for sure everyone had a great time
Went on 9/6 Saturday night. It was very crowded which, I expected. There was plenty of fun to be had here. I actually had a home in Texas, where we frequented the Main Event in Webster. We loved it there as well but, Louisiana is my home State. I had to come back. I was super excited to find out that they were building a Main Event here &, right at the Mall of Louisiana. My little family & I all had a blast last night. Well definitely be back! Thank you for bringing the Main Event to Louisiana.
Always enjoy myself with the kids but the other night we went around 7:30pm we paid for the fun pass which is bowling, pool, zip lining and laser tag we’ll i feel they shouldn’t have let us pay for all of that knowing laser tag and Zip lining was either close or you have to wait on a group. We walk back to the front to tell them they said someone would assist like 30 min later someone came to zip line but no one never came to laser tag it was a waste of money and my son really wanted to do laser tag. I feel pool shouldn’t be included in the fun passes cause you have have to 18+ so they should have fun passes for adults and fun passes for kids with activities they can actually do cause what’s the point of paying if you can’t play it.our waitress had a bad attitude At first but I have a huge personality so was easy to get her to be nice after giving her 3 compliments overall this is the best place in Baton Rouge for parents and kids to go I love how they have everything put together I have a great time other than that one night
Awesome place. Food not so great but friendly staff make up for it.
This is my second review since the first one “disappeared”! If I could rate it a negative 5 I would! This was thee worse experience of my life! I wanted to spend my birthday there and it was completely ruined. It’s overpriced and overrated. The staff was very rude and the food was cold and stale. I’m never returning. To the manager Joe please have a staff meeting on properly dealing with customers!! Also someone needs to check the website because it’s full of false advertisement!
Horribly expensive. 300 credits for 52 bucks. Games start at 7.5 to play. 17.5 for Rabbids Rollercoaster and 25 credits to play BeatSaber. Cool games though....Be careful with the covid distancing...Some games take ur money and dont drop the game to you. Happened to me a couple of times.9 dolars to do the ropes for one person and a 40 min wait.Prizes arent much either. Hundreds of points for anything my kids would like. I just gave my card to a younger child.I only found 2 employees to be polite even.Definitely not worth it.
We had a blast at Main Event! The gravity ropes were by far our favorite! Bowling, arcade games, a sports bar, laser tag... So much fun for all of us! I would recommend for elementary ages through adult (not a ton for our toddlers), but the food was outstanding (the macaroni, the pizza, the salmon...oh my!) and the desserts were out of this world. With adult beverages to boot, it is fun for everyone!
Best arcade Ive ever been to and it has a bowling alley and a it has a restaurant for you to eat it has table settings for people to rest for a second and it has lazer tag and next to that it has a place to spend your points
What are your less busy hours in the evening? It also looks like a great place to visit.
Its a great family oriented place to go. My wife and I went for the first time the other night, honestly we felt like kids again. It was absolutely amazing to feel that way again. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. We will definitely go back again very soon with our kids.
Needs better prizes and lower prices on food.
It was fun, the staff were kind. The food was good. They kept things clean and they had sanitization stations. It was cool. We had alot of fun. Good for all ages.
Checked internet for the Monday Free Play and when we got here it was not honored. We would not have come if we would have known. We did bowl, the lane kept getting stuck. Even with Covid sanitizing the tanle on our lane was dirty and sticky. Highly disappointed.
Amazing place to have fun for all ages.
The facility is nice and the rope course looks like lots of fun but do not eat here. The food and service are terrible. One thing that you need to know is that there is no server assigned to your table. You order on the table tablet and wait to get your drinks and food. No one is going to help with questions about the menu or ordering process unless you get up and go find them.If you must eat here, get the pizza. It looked good. The chicken strips are cooked hours in advance so the tenders and the chicken wraps are bad.
Enjoyed my second time coming! Always a good time especially for the kids. I would like the staff young men to pull up their pants. Not trying to see underwear. Some of the staff need to have better customer service and act like they at least want to be at work. Barely smiling and some with attitudes.Overall a great experience!
If I could give it a zero I would.i posted a review not too long ago but it disappeared. The “manager” chavonte is very unprofessional and doesn’t deserve her position. She constantly would schedule employees for one day out of the week and expecting everyone to deal with it she had picks when it came to assigning party supervisors which was highly unethical. I simply asked in the group me how could I put in my two week notice in the group me and she maliciously said “you just did” basically firing me . I’ve really thought about seeking legal action because main event hasn’t responded and I have the pictures to prove it from the group me.
So much to do, so exciting!!! Every child in my party enjoyed themselves!!
Main Event was a lot of fun! My son is 11 and he enjoyed it. The food was surprisingly good too. Well go back next time on a Monday (really good deals).
The facility is nice and has a good selection of activities to do. However, you can purchase a $20 pass for all activities (which I did) and at the time a worker told me there was a wait for bowling, about 2 hours. I told her that was fine I would do other things until it was ready, so she got my name and phone number and explained that when a lane was open I’d get a text. 2 hours go by and 14 out of 20 lanes have been empty for the last hour so I go to the desk and ask where I was on the waiting list, never got a solid answer was just told another hour wait. After waiting a while I asked another worker about the text service, and he told me it only has a 50% chance of even going through, so I asked if he knew how I could find out when it would be ready, all he told me was “it’s about a 2 hour wait” so I go to the desk wear you get bowling shoes from to ask them, this guy tells me another hour wait (all the while, never getting an answer as to where I was on the list and how long I had, just how long the wait was in general). So I asked for a manager and to get a refund because we waited for over two hours at this point and were being told different wait periods from each worker we asked. Manager comes up and says he can get us in a Bowling lane at that very moment. Why did every worker tell us something different, and instead of actually checking just saying we had to wait another 1-2 hours on top of the 2 hours we already waited yet once I ask for a refund they get me in immediately???Long story short, the workers take “I just work here” a little too seriously, none of them are on the same page, and no one can give you a straight answer on anything let alone help you find out the answers to your questions. Just very unorganized, if you’re going for arcade or laser tag you’ll be fine, but don’t go expecting to bowl, you’ll be waiting all day, and unless you complain to a manager, good luck bowling at all it seems
Had a blast lots of games for every age
I had a great time there yesterday with my work peeps. We did bowling, the gravity rope, and laser tag. The front desk people were great and our server was awesome!! I had one issue though, a couple of workers at the gravity rope and laser tag seems like they hated their job. A smile comes along way to make customers feel welcomed.
Very good place for Birthday Parties. Plenty to keep them busy!....there is also a very nice adult drink section!
Fun fun fun!! We had our daughters birthday party here on Saturday. And I must say this has been one of the best birthday party experiences we have ever had at a venue.(and with 3 kids, weve had a lot of birthday parties) We received GREAT SERVICE, everything was taken care of, and our hostess went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She kept a positive friendly attitude the entire time and really gave us a fun atmosphere. All the guest REALLY enjoyed the experience and raved about how great and smooth the experience was. We loved how there were lots of different fun activities for everyone and the parents were able to enjoy themselves just as much as the kids. It is definitely family oriented. Looking forward to spending lots of family nights and date nights here.
Theres a lot of options to partake of here, but depending on the day or how much you want to spend, you might find yourself limited or waiting a long time.I wanted to reserve a bowling time online, but the website wasnt functioning right to do so, so I had to set it up upon arriving, and thus had to wait about an hour for a lane to be available. It wouldnt be too much of an issue as you could simply play games or other activities while waiting, but the arcade games here are rather expensive (about 2 bucks a play), and Im not a fan of the cashless route since its set up in a way that youll always be left with money on your card, but it wont be enough to use on anything. Most of what I played (bowling, laser tag, and arcade games) worked fine, and I did enjoy them. I just think I would have enjoyed them more if it were a little cheaper or had more efficient reservation arranging. If you want to kill a few minutes on a weekday while youre at the mall, its not a bad place to visit, but depending on what you want to do, youre probably better off going to All-Star Lanes or Celebration Station.
The service is good but the employees didnt say that Main Event had mini golf or Karaoke which is very disappointing but everything else was good especially the Bowling and Gravity Rope corse was a lot of fun and there fore the best part of all of it was the Arcade Games and the girls to talk to and flirt with and my friend Paul liked the Pool tables and had a good experience the past few visitsBecause no Mini golf and kareoke sadly my friend & I will never come back to Main Event again
This place has some kinks to work out.SUMMARY: I wouldn’t recommend going for a little while, let them work out the kinks in the process. I went on a weeknight and there wasn’t that many people there. I definitely don’t suggest going when there is a crowd anytime soon.FULL REPORT: We were greeted by a man in a royal blue shirt, very polite. He showed us around the building and let us know what our options would be.We decided to get some food first. They are still working on getting their kitchen figured out, and that’s expected. We ordered appetizer food, and it took 30 minutes. We had many members of the team apologizing, and check on us. A+ on friendly staff. The food arrived and the sauce that my husband ordered was not correct, which was really no big deal. A team member came to our table to ask about our experience and we told him about the sauce, and assured him it was not big deal. He told me that one of our menu items would be taken care of because of the wait and since it was incorrect, but that was not the case. I planned on paying full price anyway, it’s just being told one thing and that not happening made me confused. We got a timed passes and played a lot of games. They were lots of fun and we really enjoyed playing them!We then moved on to the Sky Rail, each session is 20 minutes. We were told to arrive 10 minutes beforehand to set up. 10 minutes into we were told to get off before the machine turns off. This is truthfully what has me upset. I paid for 20 minutes and got HALF THE TIME. I recommend to the Main Event to move your start times around so that the machine turn off time does not interfere with the session time. Especially when you’ve got people paying the full price for it.
From my experience of Dave and Busters. This place is way better. There are the same amount of arcades, but they have bowling, pool, sky line ropes, and more. It was very clean and the service experience was great as well. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about what you are looking for. I want to go back and try the bowling lanes. I used to bowl on leagues so curious to see how good they are. Pool tables looked great and they are league size. The zip line looks more for kids than adults. All in all this was a fun place. They have dinning area for food with plenty of tvs to watch sports.
Really cool games..only had one person serving ridiculous to do that to that poor girl
Went today Tuesday 10/29 and because it wasnt crowded my nephew(7 years old)and I had a good time. 4 stars because a few of the games were not working and some were not worth playing.
Lanes were an hour wait. Should have called, wasted trip
Overall, really enjoyed all of the activities, but there is much room for improvement:1. We waited at least an hour to get on the ropes course. There MUST BE a more efficient way of getting people through that course.2. The service at the bar was horrible and ruined the entire experience. We went to the bar multiple times and it was at least a 10 minute wait just to be acknowledged that we existed, and then another 10 minutes before they actually took our order. The last time we went up there, we got annoyed and just left. They could have made more money if they just acknowledged the customers.
Came to Main event and absolutely loved it! I had a great time with my family here and even better service at the little cafe. The food was a amazing and the staff was very helpful. Luna was very nice and went above and beyond. We will be coming here again soon!
The types of arcade games they had were way cooler than the arcades Ive been in! Tons of shooters with big guns, giant versions of fun classic games like PacMan, Space Invaders, and Connect Four. The VR roller roaster was awesome! Laser tag and gravity walks with zip lines are here for the more physically-inclined and also super fun (but you gotta start off with bowling)! We came in on Saturday for their $20/person all-activities (excluding arcade games) all-day deal, and we had a great time!
Right now there are no restaurants open in the facility. Cant even buy a soda .
Pretty cool the games are more for the kiddies though
I keep trying to give this place chances but it never gets better. A lot of the games are broken but I will say when I need my credits back a worker was very nice about it. I’ve tried TWICE to sign up for the 30 minutes of free arcade play through my email/game card but I never get the email. Starting to think it’s just a fake gimmick? The last time we went a few days ago I tried to ask a front desk worker about it but he just told me to check my email. Email wasn’t there so I signed us up again. Still no email. When we went to redeem our tickets for prizes we were just waiting around for someone. My brother had to go chase down a worker. When we went to eat the server didn’t take off the kids meal (it was kids eat free day) and while he was stillNice he seemed bothered by the fact that he had to get a manager to take the kids meal off.It just bothers me that I spend a lot of money for my kid (who is 4 and currently going through a lot of trauma right now) to come here and forget about the bad things going on in his life to play games that make him happy only for us to be disappointed most of the time.
Great place for family fun
Place was great & so much cheaper than Quarters, will be visiting more often!!! My lil cousins had a blast!
The atmosphere is fun. There are a ton of activities. The employees are nice. This place is new. It has some quirks. The arcade can get expensive. It is not included in the Activities package. There is a bar area. Also, they offer zipline services, billiards, bowling, laser tag, and more. If they find a way to incorporate the arcade into a bundle package, I would love to revisit and add the fifth star. Otherwise, this place is almost perfect.
Its a little pricey, but thats to be expected at a place like this. I went just to eat lunch with my 2 year old. Surprisingly, he ate the two mini hotdogs I ordered and cut up for him. I had their huge burger since I was starving and it was delicious. Drink refills kept coming as needed and the other services were fine. My son ate slowly, buy no one tried to urge us to clear out. Nice big screens to watch while you eat.
Staff was so friendly and helpful. Place was very clean and it was such a nice evening for my daughter’s birthday. There was a wide variety of games to play and many different prizes! I will definitely be visiting again.
Attended a kids party tonight and overall the service was shocking! After the kids were seated for their food they waited no less than 20 for their meal to arrive. The adults platters arrived pretty soon but of course we didnt want to eat before the kids so by the time we could eat our food was ice cold! The kids waited an excessive amount of time for the rope station besides the fact that we had a birthday booking! When we brought our dissatisfaction to management we were told that the comped the birthday girls game card with $5! There were 11 kids and about 10 adults, so overall a LOT of money was spent and they feel a $5 compensation is in order, really!
Came here for the second time to do laser tag. First time was great and three hours of fun. Second time the vests werent working while we started. So after a couple times, we went up front to let them managers know. They refunded our money, gave us 4x 1.5 hour game cards (no tickets but all you can play) AND a 4x laser tag cards for another time. Had a ton of fun for almost nothing. Definitely worth the time.
This place is huge and has a lot to offer! The restaurant is reasonable and the staff is very friendly. The games are pricey however its to be expected. Bowling was a huge hit and walking on the ceiling was also awesome, but take note that there is a height requirement regardless if a parent is with them or not. There is also a height requirement for a laser tag. All the height requirements make sense but can be a bummer. Went to a birthday party for 3rd graders today and one little girl out of the group couldnt play laser tag because she was shorter than the rest of the group.
Man, this place was unbelievable. Dont get me wrong, the place looks amazing. Nice size, great atmosphere, but the rules.. the rules are implausible. There is a rule after 8 I was told that you must have a person 18 or older with you. When I got someone of age, I was then told that the person must be your parent or guardian. Then it was brought to my attention that they were searching in the building if you were with a parent or not. I feel if you have a person of 18 years or older with you, it shouldnt matter. Me and my younger brothers had to leave and go to Quarters. 8:00 is just too early to have a rule like that. Another note, a close friend of mine works there and the hours he received were PREPOSTEROUS. He received 12 hours in 2 weeks. That is just unrealistic.
Would have given them a 5 but the restaurant had bad service
Great gaming center for all ages. With that being saidl, the diners food could be a bit more seasoned. I would definitely go back!
Lowkey love the people who work here. Place is packed on a weekend! Super fun though.
No privacy for the price you pay for a birthday package. We opened gifts at home because I refused to leave presents out in the open for someone to steal. This is also one of those places that is just a big hangout for parents to drop off their disrespectful kids at without any money. They should consider a cover charge.
Great place first time visit!
We had a great time my son had top score every round laser tag was the best.
There are a ton of things to do here. The all-day passes provide the most value. The virtual reality rides are innovative and their advertising knows it. It is really a great place for families.
This was my first time here and it was great. My daughter and her friends really enjoyed themselves. I am ready to go back and have a girls night out at Main Event.
Good but crazy busy! Awesome place but wish they had more staff on the floor and the games werent SO expensive for one turn. When a game didnt work it was almost impossible to find anyone. Other than that great staff and establishment.
Its a fun place, smart idea when you play in the arcade with a time card vs play card. I played for 1hr and 30min of non stop fun . My kids really enjoyed it . The arcade was fun and the food was good. Kids eat free on Tuesday with a purchase of and entree. I will be back . One think I would probably complain about, most of the tables were not cleaned but in the resturant.
Friendly service, good food and good fun
Cool place with lots to do and so much potential. Service in every area of the place is horrible. Poorly managed.
Sumariya, our party host, was amazing!!! She was attentive, friendly and a pleasure to work with. All of my party guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and commented on how much there is to do! We left with happy but exhausted children. That is the number one indicator that a great time was had.
I went yesterday for the first time wasn’t impressed at ALL My family and I walked in they have over 15 workers piled up at the front ENTRANCE no greeted us or even even explain to us where we go or even where the line was. When to the register one person was there the other guy was I’m assuming closing draw down cause he was getting off which I think should be down in the back because people are steady coming in so another lady came to help the 1 cashier here! They staff needs to be TRAINED on Customer service! The customer service is HORRIBLE WHEN THE MANAGER!
Absolutely loved it! We did the eat and play. Our waiter Tyler was awesome! He was friendly and went above and beyond. Staff was amazing and so was the food. Would recommend!
Decent arcade. Bowling lanes were good for fun, casual bowling. Good for groups.
Our visit was amazing. My kids absolutely enjoyed themselves. Theres so much to choose from. Oh and lets not forget the food was really good as well. I guess this is our new venue for family fun night.
My granddaughter Farrah and Iia#1 and Iia#2 had a blast
I brought my kids here and they loved it my only complaint is that our server was rude, hardly checked on us, and also complained about another server to where we could hear about it. He was very unprofessional and I felt like a burden to him. Despite that, the food was delicious and there are tons of different things to do for kids to do!
Just love it good place to bring your kids
Good food, good service!!!
We Had A Blast
Loud, flashy and easy to lose hours of daylight in here, the perfect example of an arcade. Food services were also incredible if you dont mind having 40 televisions in every direction.
What should people know? Hmmm. They should know that the gaming experience was fun for all, but the dining experience? We received one of our entrees after an hour of waiting. Our waitress disappeared on us, so even drink refills were not happening. Spoke to the manager, and to say he wasnt much help would be downright complimentary. Eat someplace else, then go to main event for gaming fun.
I lost my wallet and tried getting someone to help me find it for 2 wks now. Not cool.
Horrible sales office/ informed associates.I have been trying to book a corporate party for 3 weeks and keep getting the runaround. One employee gives me one piece of information then i cant get them to follow up so have to start all over with another associate. Over and agin X3 weeks and about a dozen conversations. I understand that this is a new business with kinks to work out but this is ridiculous.
This place is amazing! Quick and awesome service. The food is phenomenal! The games are so much fun and the prizes are worth it. I highly recommend this
Gave Our NIECE A BIRTHDAY Outing and It Was WORTH The Package Deal !!!! Our Main Event Employee Was GREAT Assisting With Feeding The Kids, Helping Them Bowl, Laser Tag, ECT... We Will Be Visiting Again When I Get My TAXES in A Couple Of Weeks !!!! The Most Important Thing Was The KIDS Had An AWESOME time and so did us As Parents !!!! Will Be Back Soon !!!!
This place was fun for our church youth...they didnt want to leave
Great place to bring your family and friends. Very accommodating staff and have all sorts of activities thatll keep you and your kids busy.Ive bowled, played the arcades, laser tag, had a nice treat all within a few hours
Took my seven-year-old here last weekend . Bowling is only 1 hour. Dont order food or it will get there just as they are kicking you out of the bowling area. Then you will have to figure out where else you can eat. Games were fun. Laser tag is fun all the equipment seem to work. Its like a massive Chuck-E-Cheese without the rat. Food was acceptable nothing to write home about. Almost got in a fight in the parking lot trying to leave with my daughter looks like another fun place that turned into a daycare for delinquents.
So much fun! We went bowling, played games and did the gravity walk! The food and service was AMAZING! All the employees were informed and helpful! You have to try the virtual games!!! Will definitely be visiting again!!
We had a great time at the Main Event Center! It was well attended on its first weekend open with really great food, games, and service! A great place to bring the family! I cant wait to go back!
Good food but horrible service
So much to do so its a great place for multiple visits. My kids didnt want to leave. There were areas I didnt even get a chance to see.
Games are highly overpriced on their games and advertised spec I also that were not actually available.
Kids had fun while their parents enjoyed the bar . That bar tend is the truth. Late night specials.
