We booked a half day kayak tour. Booking was easy and this was one of the few tours that still had availability two weeks before our trip. Our guide was great and knowledgeable. Good for first timers. The actual tour was about 1.5 hours of paddling, 45 min on a beach, and then 1.33 hours of paddling. I felt like there was the perfect amount of time spent on the water. The tour went around the islands which was cool as we would not have seen them otherwise. We were able to see seals, eagles and other wildlife. Would definitely do again!

We did a kayak tour around the Porcupine Islands and it was so awesome! We had Laura as our guide and she was the absolute best. Seriously - she was awesome. Like, 14/10 would recommend that you do a tour with Laura. Shes extremely knowledgeable not only about the area, but about all wildlife in the area and will help you notice things that you 100% wouldve missed otherwise. Shell enhance your experience tremendously. Thats pretty much it.

Did the half day tour, highly recommend. Bill, our guide was great. Extremely knowledgeable & funny, without being over the top or forced. Saw plenty of wildlife - had a seal pop up a paddle length away mid way through. Thanks for a fantastic afternoon!

Reserve through google or their website for bike rental(acadia bike) which is $2 cheaper than on site rental.Due to covid19 only one day rental is available.All the staff are super friendly and informative.Our choice to rent mountain bikes were perfect for the horse carriage road. It was unforgettable experience.

Great half day tour of kayaking. The waterproof skirts are great. It would be nice to eat a light snack on the beach when we stop halfway. Our tour guide, Bill, was very helpful but kind of sexist and inappropriate, calling another couples boat the divorce boat and making fun of a prior customer. Just not very professional, but was very helpful with the kayaks.

Such a great experience! Laura was a wealth of knowledge as our kayaking guide, and we were making great time so she took us to see a little bit more than originally planned. Tons of wildlife/oceanlife, and a really awesome way to see MDI from a new angle. Highly recommend the half day tour!

Great 4-hour tour around the Porcupine Islands. Its amazing to view this area from the water and get close to these islands and the coastline. Loved the little break on Burnt Porcupine. Very unique experience and we loved it.

My boyfriend and I booked this tour the night before on a whim. We actually found this place searching for a sightseeing cruise and I’m so glad all the cruises were either booked up or not doing tours until July, because this experience was better than we could have imagined.We were the only two on the Harbor Tour and our tour guide Tim was so amazing. He’s a great teacher and so knowledgeable about the land. We got to see seals, a bald eagle, crabs, and seagulls of course. We will definitely come back for the half day tour because we just didn’t want it to end! 10/10 would recommend if kayaking is your thing. You definitely won’t regret it.

Terrible! Booked and paid for trip. Drove to Bar Harbor. They called day before and canceled. Acted like they were being gracious by providing refund. A must do! We had Laura & she was fantastic very informative. Super eye o spotting g out wildlife. Our group was awesome got to go out farther than expected due to good paddling. Awesome time

Very friendly staff. Efficient reservation and check in/out process. They had a great system for sanitation, masking, and social distancing. We did the Carriage Roads bike tour, which was so fun!

One of the best experiences I have had in Bar Harbor was the sunset kayak tour! My guide, Bill, knew so much about the history and wildlife! Not only was it a beautiful evening, we learned a lot of great information. I would highly recommend kayaking to get up close and personal with seals, porpoises and other wildlife!

David was our guide...he was very friendly amd knowledgeable about the area where we kayaked. He gave us great direction on safety and other procedures for the trip. It was a gorgeous day and we recommend this trip for adventurous people!

We did the four-hour tour which was a little over five miles of kayaking. We kayaked around the Porcupine Islands with a stop on Burnt Porcupine Island on the way back. Our guide was great and explained a lot about the area as we kayaked. It’s a nice way to get a view of Bar Harbor from the water.

Had a great half-day outing with Jack as guide. Saw a seal pup, pods porpoises, and constant beautiful scenery.

We had a great experience with Coastal Kayaking Tours and our guide Charlie. We arrived to a very organized check-in, and were immediately greeted by Charlie who introduced himself as our guide and pointed us in the right direction to begin to gear up. After a short initial orientation, we boarded the bus for the short ride over to the launch area on the ocean. Charlie led us on a 2 hour tour around some of the islands off of Bar Harbor and provided some great information. The weather was a bit foggy and breezy, so the water was choppy, but he guided us safely away from land and we had an amazing trip. Definitely one of the highlights of our Bar Harbor / Acadia vacation, and highly recommended for kayakers and non kayakers alike!

A trip to Bar Harbor area and the porcupine islands would be incomplete without doing a 2.5 hr kyaking trip. The scenery is stunning and the guiding is excellent.

Took a 4-hr morning tour with our guide Tim. He knows Bar Harbor and wild lives there. We saw common creatures like gulls and loons and had close contacts with sun fish and porpoises. The highlight was we saw Blue Angles flying over in formation!I strongly recommended this half-day tour and the knowledgeable guide Tim.

Book a sunset tour with wife and daughter in store. We arrived 30 min early like we were asked. Waited for every one to arrive. Guide starts getting us geared up. He tells my wife her spray bid looks a little tight. Sends her is side where she is told she can not go due to her weight. No where in all the time we were there or info we were given did it say there was a size limit. Had to break my 8 year olds heart and tell her we couldnt go.They replied to this post trying to make them look good saying that if there are any size limits questions they would let you sit in kayak on land. Well at no point was this offer given. Simply told her for her safety and comfort they couldnt let her go.

Our tour guide, David, was knowledgable and friendly. We felt safe. We expected a 2.5 hour trip. That was true if you counted the 15 minute walk from the store to the kayaks, the 15 minutes back, the 30 minutes of instructions and waiting for each couple to get into their kayaks, one kayak at a time, and the half hour we sat around in 10-15 minute segments on the water, without going anywhere. The one hour we actually kayaked was lovely, with beautiful scenery, and if u were not too far from David to hear him, some explanations. This was called the sunset trip. NO SUCH THING. Do not get your expectations up. We left the store at 3:45 and we were back on land around 5:45-6 pm. Sunset is at 7 pm at this time of the year. Too expensive for so little time on the water. Disappointed.

Had a great time. David was a wonderful tour guide, very educational and informative. We didnt see any wildlife but thats obviously not their fault. We had a perfect day and you just cant beat those views!!

I absolutely loved the kayaking trip! No previous experience was needed and it was a bunch of fun!:) The tour guides are absolutely outstanding and have a really great time with you out on the water! Our tour guide was Bill, and what can I say, Bill was an absolutely AMAZING man(Coastal Kayaking is lucky to have you!) He was so very funny, nice, and knowledgable, he made the experience a really really fabulous one! I dont think that there was a moment where I wasnt smiling or laughing (thank you, Bill!:)) This was definitely the highlight of our trip and the perfect way to spend part of the day in Bar Harbor! I would recommend going here for a kayaking tour to anybody and make sure that you request Bill!

The disrespect they had for the families walking on the sand bar was quite terrifying as I sat near the entrance of the park. They came through expecting everyone to just move. No horn, no slowing. Man driving, woman in the passenger seat. Feeling exasperated for the family that nearly had a devastating day.

Half day kayaking tour was fun and challenging. Annie was a terrific guide. The outfitter is organized anized and efficient.

We arrived late and the tour guide wouldnt let us on the boat. They refused to let us go on another tour or give us a refund. There are better places in town
