What a great way to get your exercise done! The shore path offers excellent views of Frenchman’s Bay. The path is easy to navigate and offers several different locations to take photographs. It is also located near the harbor so there is easy access from the town.

I enjoyed my walk here. It is a wonderful loop that leads you to all the shops on Main Street. The views are great.

What a beautiful walk along The Shore Path at sunset, at the end of a picture perfect day. Incredible colors, relaxing atmosphere, calm water, boats silhouetted against the water and sky, the well landscape properties along the path. This was such an enjoyable walk, that it was hard to leave it. If you get the chance be sure to walk it and enjoy the leaving your stress behind.

Shore path is an easy walk that has a nice view right on the ocean. It usually isnt as busy but it can still attract lots of people. The shore path is smooth and not hilly. You have access to the water as well as some of the hotels too. It kind of loops into town, you will want to go up a path that has fences on each side as well as trees covering it. The path is super cool and worth checking out. Maybe grab an ice cream and walk up and down the path.

One is the best spots downtown to see the water

This is a great place to get in your daily steps and take in some beautiful views.

Lovely walking path that I highly recommend. I only gave 4 stars because the path is not well kept up and people who have a little trouble with balance or with any ailment that affects walking will find it a bit tiring in a couple spots. The majority is fine for anyone. Have to dodge the bushes in a few spots, but the path is good. This is not suitable in spots for a wheelchair or scooter due to a small washout making the path very narrow. The walk is refreshing right along and slightly above the rocky beach and lets you see a couple of nice homes from the back. Its not a long walk, but wear comfy shoes. Its not suitable for heels or idiot shoes. The surface is not entirely even. If you start at the wharf and roll around in the northward circle, you pop out in the perfect spot to head south on Main and shop or eat. Its a lovely stroll. I recommend.

This is a nice walk. It would be a nice walk before or after dinner in bar harbour. There are plenty of benches on the way to stop and admire the view.

We had a great walk along the seashore with a lovely view over Frenchaman Bay, thats takes about an hour to do. You can watch the cruise ships come in and some beautiful private homes on the Bay. We really enjoyed the Shore Path. It is really a lovely, memory making experience if you visit Bar Harbor. Probably better during the week and off-season than on a busy summer weekend where there should be less people.

Great place for a walk and to go beach exploring.

A wonderful walk along a beautiful piece of Maine shoreline. The walk is along mostly rocky shore. The granite rocks have their own beauty, adding to the view Frenchmans Bay and the Porcupine Islands one the seaside and many elegant homes landward. Many of those were built when Bar Harbor was the summer playground of the very wealthy. An easy stroll that will bring you back into Main Street. Just be able to do the whole walk as exits are limited. And dont forget your camera!

Very pretty, scenic walk down the coast. You can jump down and get to water anywhere if you chose.A man that was cutting grass asked us not to sit near him but I dont think hes there everyday so you may be able to get away sitting anywhere you please

Its a great, easy walk along the shore. When you get to the end of the path, go back to the roadway and walk through the shops, get ice cream, have a beer, eat dinner, or take a tour.

Beautiful views of the islands and boats coming in and out of the harbor. Stroller accessible and only takes about an hour to walk the whole path. Dont miss this if you are in the Bar Harbor area.

A beautiful and picturesque path along the waterfront in Bar Harbor, there are access points at several locations around town, but there is a public lot in the middle of the path in which to park. The path winds along the harbor and was breathtaking both in the cold and misty morning as well as the sun. A must do walk, about a 1/2 mile from start to finish with no uneven or rough terrain.

Beautiful walk along Bar Harbor shore. The views are breathtaking.Try getting there close to a sunset and start your walk from Town Pier - youll have an opportunity to make it a loop, Shore Path turns back to Main Street in the end. The whole loop is 1.5 miles and takes about an hour to complete.

A nice enough walk in Bar Harbor town, but better walks, such as the Ocean Path, are available. Good for history buffs, or for people off of the cruise ship.

Very nice that inns and private homes allow a public shoreline trail. The only things wrong with the trail is that it can get very busy and slow during July-August, and bikes are allowed when the trail is too narrow for them, it just ruins the purpose of the walk.

Good easy walk. Mostly flat, accessible and pretty quick. Would be good for jogging. The path is narrow however so be mindful of other walkers. Very popular you will most likely see other people. Great views from the path. And historic landmarks are marked with a brief description in English and French.
