I love the trails here. Its a great way to escape the city without have to leave the city. Trails for hiking, walking, biking and snowshoeing and x-country skiing in the winter. There are maps posted on some of the trails, but they dont have you are here dots so they can be hard and confusing to read.

Relaxing. Its right in town so its convenient but to me it feels like youre out of town so you get the best of both worlds. Almost everyone that visits is RESPECTFUL and picks up after themselves. My son is 17 and I may not be as cool as I once was but I dont think he has ever said no to going here with us to hang out and spend time together!!

Bring mosquito repellent! Best choice I made. It will save you from pain and suffering. The trails are nice and lengthy. Nothing difficult unless you choose one of the unkempt paths. There are maps at key points so you dont get lost. Finding a parking may be the hardest thing to accomplish here.

A gem. How can you recommend a forest? The trails are well maintained if you want to go running, its generally not too crowded and if you want to feel a little lost you can do so with any of the back trails

I come here when I want to get a little exercise and when I dont want to fully lie when I tell people I went hiking this weekend or yeah, I do outdoorsy things because I live in Maine or no! I totally DONT just sit in front of my computer all day! I have a life outside Zoom! There are plenty of nature encounters to be had: trees, shrubs, rocks, moss, moss on rocks, and the ever ubiquitous wild dog poop that wasnt cleaned up properly. These trails are are beginner to intermediate level... So theyre actually enjoyable to walk on. I dont need to punish myself with an advanced level trail.

The day I went here I unfortunately wasnt able to do a full walk around. However the are I did walk thru made me want to go back. The only negative I would say were the number of horse-flies. They were terrible! Had to literally run out of there. But like I said look forward to coming back.

So disappointed that it was closed due to covid-19! There is absolutely a way to social distance on the boardwalk and I disagree that there is not. The boardwalk for me is a place to escape and feel like everything can be better.

It’s a great place but this particular day it was challenging to stay on my feet. I didn’t have cleats to keep me from slipping on the icy crusted snow. The dog was ok with it and I didn’t fall but I’ll wait till the snow softens a bit before going on some of the trails.

Absolutely love the walking trails. Keep missing the bog hours or it’s just too crowded to get a bog walk in, but the trails are stunning so it’s all good. Couldn’t find where to post concerns, but while out walking last night, my family took the deer trail and coming back down the trail leading to the parking; I believe it was “K”, there is an area that appears to be drainage that is exposed and damaged with gaping holes and is soft when pressure is applied. Be cautious; a pet or a person could be injured if unsuspecting.

This is a great trail system however the driveway and parking lots are in such bad shape that I will sometimes avoid going there because I dont feel like being jostled around as I try and navigate all the pits and potholes. Honestly, it is a popular, high traffic park so it is pretty inexcusable that this issue continues to persist and get worse.
