I saw a puppet slam last night and it was so much fun. The space was rustic and charming with grand puppets as a backdrop on the walls. There was a variety of short performances, interspersed with a masked singer who was good, but sang the same kind of song every time. They sell beer and popcorn and other beverages for reasonable prices. Ill be bringing my friends and family to the next shows. Yes, Im already planning to go back.

This is a wonderful black box theater with innovative, fun and mind blowing performance, mostly puppets with a lot of music too.

One of my favorite places in Baltimore! I always try to make it to the Puppet Slamwiches. I just wish they had even more events for me to attend!

Quirky little theater... sell pop corn and beer during performances. Kid and adult friendly. Great place well worth a visit!

One of the citys great gritty bits of entertainment. Interesting regular shows that vary so much you will never know what to expect. The puppetry by the management themselves is some of the best in the world and the marionettes are each individually a work of art. The organization also is a great supporter of the neighborhood and of Baltimore city kids that promotes learning and art.

A special place, great people and wonderful shows. Just being in this spot surrounded by puppets hanging on the walls feels kinda magical.

An amazing place full of puppeteering wonder. One of the highlights of The Black Cherry are the Puppet Slamwiches, a variety show of local puppeteers and musicians. They also host world class bands. The Black Cherry Puppet Theater is not to be missed.

Never been here, quite honestly. They simply get stars for serving their community with such a beautiful art.. When I was a kid at James McHenry, they came to perform for us and taught us a lesson Aesop fable-like and I have never forgotten their creativity.. It inspired me to be an artist today. Thanks Black Cherry Puppet Thearte. I also do concept design should you ever need it.

Best little theater in Baltimore for all ages and all seekers of fun! Some of my all time performances have been here, and Zellas Pizzeria next door completes a perfect evening.
