Great size for events, nice size stage, two unisex restrooms

On the corner of Howard and Mulberry, the Downtown Cultural Arts Center touts a nice venue for events like the Dew More Youth Spoken Word Festival I attended. The Downtown Cultural Arts Center was certainly the place to have it, as it has three levels graced with beautiful art work done by local artist for purchase.This event had the blessing of three great DJs. DJ Mysterious, DJ Focus and DJ Harvey D. The Executive Director of Dew More Baltimore, Kenneth Morrison, was personable and hosted a fun event sponsored by local businesses and larger business like Baltimore City Public Schools, Enoch Pratt, T. Rowe Price, The Mayors Office and others.He stated I wanted to create a platform young people could have a space where their voices could be heard and potentially impact change within our city; spured on by our youth. This event marks their 5th anniversary.I had the priveledge to attend with the young men at BBA. This event was held to culminate a series of workshops that took place in 25 schools within Baltimore City. The workshops will also be held at Banneker Blake Academy for Arts ans Science, after school, in three separate sessions.Street parking was tight, but there are a few spots open on the street that didnt have meters attached. If you dont trust it, be sure to take a picture of the signs or pay for lot parking.

Family had a repast here and it was very nice. Clean bathroom, dance floor, and kitchen . I don’t think it had a stove or refrigerator but we was still able to serve food

This establishment is truly wonderful.The people are exceptional as far as customer service. Paul, is great to work with and is very accommodating. I love the events that they have.They all are very empowering for the community. You don’t see that too often nowadays. All three levels are great to hold an event, seminar, photoshoot, video shoot, and the list goes. I will be back! I encourage more people to go there and book the space as well.

I have my 3rd pop up shop there featuring my small business (@bengcosmetics) . I loved the energy and the vibe. It was the right amount of space and the chandelier was gorgeous might I add. The area that it’s around isn’t that nice but from the inside it’s worth it.

Good downtown venue, not too expensive, for all type of events.

Went to see the inner city talents of Baltimore city, had a ball

The Downtown Cultural Art Center was where the inaugural Vegan Soulfest took place in 2014, boasting 1500 attendees in its first year and the first Baltimore Hip Hop Green Dinner. Inside is a beautiful space with three levels.

I had a great time. Its A beautiful building.

I just rented this place on Saturday June 1st for my my celebration of life. This place was horrible it was dirty, chairs had holes in them, tables were falling apart while we we putting the tablecloths on them, the so call catering was ridiculous, it was 2 young ladies who were serving they lefted for a while and then came back..the food was cold they didnt provide heating sternos to keep the food warm. It was so un organized, I left my portable bluetooth speaker and tried to come back to get it, it was gone the response I received no one seen it so I ask how can the compensate me for my speaker they said they cant wow Im so furious with this place I will not recommend anyone to use this place!!!

Such a positive experience and the owner was a great guy easy to work with. I would suggest everyone to facilitate this facility for all of their events employees and the owner treat you as if I were family. 10 stars!

Attended a mothers day brunch at this location and it was wonderful!

The space is large and uniquely decorated. It can accommodate just about any type of event due to size and open layout. I only gave it 4 stars because there is limited parking but several parking lots in sketchy neighbouring blocks. One guest was actually robbed on their way to parking. The place itself is quite a gem.

Facebook had a pop-up Ad. T Dowings play Never Judge a Book by its CoverA little hard to find. Parking was a bit tight, but it was free parking. Its in the suspect part of town. Not too far from the Horseshoe Casino. The Center is 3 levels. Main area can hold over 50 people. Downstairs its Club-like, Bars and good seating. The bathrooms need some updating. All in all, it was a very nice experience. With a TLC, this place can be awesome!

Every third Monday of each month Musician Paradise have poetry and live karaoke. Cost is $5 to get in. Food will be sold and BYOB. Starts at 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.

I go there on Tuesday @7 for the Love and Hip Hop open mic it is a very organized space for artists to share and promote themselves

Excellent Venue For A Show, Gathering, Or A Party.

The staff and owner are very intimate and involved with their client needs. The space is very nice three different rooms to have events. Decor is gorgeous and ethnic.

Great venue to rent for small concerts or social/networking events. Parking can be a challenge.

I didnt care for the artwork on the walls being that it was a semi formal affair. Perhaps the person giving the affair wanted it up
