Perhaps youve bejen drinking at Curb Stomp and you need a fresh gulp of air before continuing to purge. Instead of using their state of the art lavatories, you stumble outside and to your right you notice a door. Emboldened by the syrupy glow of Natty Boh, you decide to investigate. Surely the bar can wait a minute. As your clammy fingers grasp the door handle, you are suddenly flush with a certain sense of liquid certainty on having made the correct decision to enter this store. Once inside, you look around, smell the air and the liquid certainty washing around your brain instantly cryatalizes into a hard hittig realization: this IS the store youhave been looking for. The two wonderful shopkeepers put on tour favorite song because, of course, theyve been expecting you. Needless to say, they dont make any mention of your deranged slack jaw and your obvious inability to hide your utter contentment. They are quite used to similar reactions. Are there rugs? There are rugs. Are there vanity mirrors which may have once reflcected the visages of royals and nobility?Well, they had some when I went but they probably dont last long with this insane prices that makes me wonder whether this place was a sky castle or a real and actual building sitting on the ground. Is there a beautifully scenic outlook of the Jones Falls whereby one can gaze in silence wonderig how it is such mere mortals were gifted with the eye of discerning quality treasures from heaps of junk? Indeed thereWhen I finally awoke, I was neck deep in that very river and wholly convinced I had, even for a second, seen heaven on earth. When I sat back down to my drink at Curb Stomp no one seemed to notice the algae drying on my forehead. Thankfully they have a mirror behind the bar.
Cool, eclectic antique shop
Friendly and knowledgeable owners.
