I had never been to Austin and my ex took my daughter and I here for a visit! Its nice and spacious with a gorgeous view and ppl actually wore masks walking the paths there! Wish we Couldve stayed longer but definitely will be coming back to visit!

Awesome scenic viewpoints of the Colorado river. Can get crowded at peak times but there are numerous viewpoints. Be sure to walk along the trail and you can avoid the steps in the beginning by going in on the end where its a gradual incline. Driving through the hills to get here is also a treat.

Great sunset point just west of Austin! The highest point in the city provides great views of the skyline and the Colorado River. Easy parking nearby. The steps are about a 5 minute climb. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy a picnic dinner if you like. Fantastic way to end a day visiting Austin!

Short but sweet little trail. The 100 steps to the top didn’t feel like 100 steps, was pretty easy for me and my daughter to go up by herself. The view was nice, and the walk down the rocky trail was fun. Wish the experience was longer, but it could be a nice place to relax and bring some lunch.

A sight for tourist and locals alike. The sunset looks amazing and beautiful. Great to spend with a special person or family. Does get crowded (as in all the good spots to sit and enjoy the sunset) so be cautious on time of day you decide to visit.

Im a photographer, so I use this location for several Engagement and family photo shoots, but last night, for my birthday, I was able to go up here to watch the sunset together and enjoy the scenery. Very iconic place in Austin, highly recommend. Wear shoes you dont mind going up about 200 stairs in! The hike up is worth it!

Not too hard of a climb ~ I did it in a skirt in 90* weather. Once you get to the top the view is spectacular!!No facilities, so other than a few photos and a quick snack, it’s a nice little place to get a quick leg and cardio workout.

A short walk up with a big reward. The views from Mt. Bonnell are wonderful. Catching a sunrise or sunset is a real treat. If youre visiting Austin or have lived here for a while it is one spot to check out if you get a chance. Parking is easy. There are two ways up, one with stairs and another is just a trail. It takes less than 5 minutes to go up at a leisurely pace. Not difficult at all. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

If youre afraid of heights, DO NOT GO! Youll freak out when literally anyone gets close to the edge. My daughter enjoyed it, and I enjoyed the price (FREE). If youre not used to driving up and down hills, get mentally prepared; the drive there is full of them.If Im not mistaken, this is the highest point in Austin.

Not sure why it’s called covert park but Mount Bonnell is a beautiful place to watch the sun set or just hang out and take in all the surrounding beauty. I’ve been going here since I was a teenager the park used to be someone bigger some homes have somehow bought out the land hopefully they don’t wind up buying it all. It scares me that it says covert park I hope that doesn’t mean that the covert family owns it. Once anything is owned they start to try to make money off of it I would hate to have to pay a fee just to see Mount Bonnell but here I am jumping to conclusions.

Absolutely stunning, even on a cloudy day. The views are lovely, and it’s a pretty leisurely small trail. I saw some people running it, which I wouldn’t really recommend because it’s not really made to be that. There’s no bathrooms here or a whole lot of parking. This was about a thirty minute stop for me, but a good tourist destination.

Nice river views, very crowded on weekend, another rough/primitive trail down lower, following along the cliff, better not to go off main trail may get lost in brush or dangerously steep/gravel trail. Please do not paint the rocks & the plants, the chemicals are not good for nature. Please do not take any food or bottled drinks into the actual park, leave everything in the car, there is litter all over the cliff. Or at least please be sure to take it with you, dont throw it in the trash cans they provide at the park, just dont leave garbage in the actual park -at all-, there were also lots of wrecked trash cans laying along the cliff, that had blown off.

Lots of fun with nice views of the river and the city skyline. It is a disappointingly short/easy hike; youll get to the top in about 10 minutes or so. Still, a pleasant visit especially with friends or family and food in tow. Id recommend you find some other activity to pair with it since this doesnt take much time at all.

Beautiful with amazing views, but it takes 15 total to walk the 75 stairs up and walk down. Mount is sincerely misleading. If you want fun views and an incredibly short hike, this is the place. There are a few picnic tables, but all were used when we were there. (Go down the hill to Mayfield park with peacocks for better trails)
