Picturesque. Romantic. Fun. Unique. Every visit is better than the last. This is, by far, our favorite hidden gem in Athens. Im from the area, but live in Columbus now, and we drive down as often as possible for the experience the owners have crafted!The good wine, small plates, and inviting atmosphere makes a really great gift for a special someone, so if you want to impress friends and family, this venue is your best choice. We were last there 8/3/19 and discovered that they had expanded the covered pavilion (which provides Instaworthy sunset views of the Appalachian foothills) and added several comfy lounge spaces as well as seating in new areas along a little foot path. There is also a grill station that could help feed an army. The staff were really *pleasant*, too!Weve already planned our next visit

Best wine I have ever consumed. The rose and merlot are so delightfully sweet and well crafted. A beautiful location and great and friendly staff. Close to downtown Athens. Highly recommend for any visit to Athens.

Way above average local wine, excellent appetizers, owners are really congenial people, and the scenery is picturesque. Our go to to relax and enjoy great wine and food.

First time visited. My husband and I had a wonderful time with friends. Food and wine were excellent. Atmosphere and scenery beautiful. Ross, the owner, knew his wine! His wife knows how to cook!

This is a wonderful place with helpful staff. The owners will take time to educate customers on the finer points of their wine making process. The offer special pairing dinners and events throughout the year. Our favorite wine is the Leland Red blend. Sometimes they carry a Reserve of the Leland Red that is 100% Cabernet. Stop in, order a glass or a bottle and enjoy the beautiful view from their deck and grounds.

Absolutely one of the best wineries we have ever been to, outstanding wines and food!!! It is obvious owner and family love what they are doing. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone who loves wine and good company.

We came across this wonderful winery while we were on our honeymoon. During our trip we visited 20 different vineyards, while some of them were beautiful and had amazing wines this winery blew them all away! The wines were amazing, the food was out of this world, and the gentleman that took care of us was both very knowledgeable and very friendly. We felt welcomed there in a way that no other place pulled off. While we are almost 3 hours away we look forward to returning this fall/winter for a pairing, at least once or twice.

PHV is a favorite for us and a must for OU parents. The scenery overlooks vineyards and rolling hills and their food is spectacular. The atmosphere is romantic, rustic and quaint, laid back and cheerful. Helpful staff! A+++

We had a wonderful afternoon out on their deck. The homemade chips w/bacon and blue cheese were amazing! The wine was delicious too!

Pleasant Hill provides a warm, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The staff knows their stuff and bend over backwards for the customer. I love the Merlot. And the food is to die for!

Beautiful winery!! Based on the foundations/grounds of an old log cabin from the 1800s restored to spectacular coziness! The people were so nice and since it was a cold day they even made a fire upon request! They shared pictures of the restoration while we drank wine, played checkers, dominos, and jenga around a roaring fire! Delicious wine and plenty of area to spread out and enjoy time with family and/or friends. Great history, great wine, and a great time! Thank you!
