Nothing scenic here. There are signs all over stating SCENIC VIEWS. Still haven’t found it. Don’t stop. What a joke.

Lots of parks on here, miles an miles of trails, Amazing views, lots of places to have fun with family or go for a bike ride.

Nice overlook on your way. I stopped by the 2nd one which is less than a mile from the 1st one. You can see a small pond and the green hills on the river bank. There is usually enough parking space for almost 20 cars. You might also be able to go down to the river.

Peaceful despite the traffic. Muddy walk a few feet from parking to bluff, downtrodden chain link suggests the limits of safety without enforcing it. Reminiscent of older national and state parks, well constructed in the distant past. A view of somewhat unremarkable woodlands, gorge, and suburbs. Contemplative.

Awesome trail to the right side. Take water and bug spray. loved the hike and enjoyed some unique scenes.

This has so much potential but there are a lot of trees blocking the view. The first overlook has an unobstructed view and is a much more satisfying break from traveling. Also exiting the overlook can be challenging as the roadway can be very busy.

Scenic. Very calm. Usually not too crowded.

No view of river just trees, trail is very steep going down not for the lighthearted

You cant overlook anything. It looked like a meet up spot for people of a certain persuasion. Not that theres anything wrong with that.

Great view of the Potomac. Watch for poison ivy here leaves of three (3) LEAVE IT BE. Great place to stop and rest for a bit or check something and take in some nature. Please fo not litter or go off trail as it can be very hazardous and poison ivy is everywhere off trail.

Great views of Georgetown and DC at several parts along the drive. Looks amazing in winter. Snow covers the surroundings and the lake which makes it even more beautiful and adventurous. Worth a stop.

Not the best place to fish very crowded very close spaced and its really hard to fish during. Flash floods insane currents to risky to fish there either way but the trail there is very smooth and calm and relaxing do its 2 stars

It is nothing short of a phenomenal view from above on the Potomac River!

Currently, the GW Parkway is a mess of potholes and bumps and is causing delays and damage to vehicles.

A must drive route, this is a scenic couple of miles into Palsades/Georgetown area of DC. Just watch out for nimrods and state troopers
