If you dont mind a little traffic, this is a great place to go with the kids. The homeowners here really take the time to put together some great displays and some even sell popcorn, drinks, and light up wands to passing vehicles.Thank you to everyone who puts in the time to make it a great free place to take the kids and enjoy the lights!

I go to this neighborhood almost every year and I love it. I agree that they are doing the same decoration every year, but come on, still its pretty. They spend days to decorate and spend lots of money for other peoples pleasure. I appreciate them for all of that. The beauty of this neighborhood is that almost all homes decorate. You cant see this in many cities.

This neighborhood is great and the neighbors go all out. I live here and I am writing a positive review even with tens of thousands of cars passing my door every December. It’s just a safe, friendly, and completely volunteer effort because the neighborhood enjoys doing it. Don’t miss out on Halloween either. Our first Halloween here blew my mind.

I miss home and being able to watch the Christmas boat parade. Someone told me about this and I will definitely be doing this every year. Very well organized and lots to see and take pictures of. There were even hot coco for sale stands along the way. Plan on at least 2hours to really enjoy it. This is not something you want to rush thru! My kids loved it and said they were looking forward to next year. Great evening listening to Christmas carols on the radio and device free family fun.

Ive been coming here for years to look at the Christmas Lights. I guess its a Christmas tradition in my family now. Ive taken my children since they where toddlers and now the youngest just graduated high school. The lights and decorations in Interlochen are by far the best In the Metroplex. They go all out every year with the boldest Christmas decorations Ive ever seen and its always such a joy to see.

The traffic getting into the neighborhood was a nightmare...we literally waited three hours in line when we got there at 7, I recommend arriving well before 7 pm.That being said, the lights in the neighborhood were very beautifully done. This was our first time seeing the lights, and not only were the decorations fun and unique, but there was a lot to see. I’d say we were looking at lights in the neighborhood for a good 40 minutes to an hour.Would definitely recommend, but be prepared to spend a lot of time going to this one.

I read a lot about this neighborhood and how it’s the best in Dallas at decorating and Christmas lights are a must see. Well, first - good luck trying to get in. We spent an hour in the traffic some 500 yards from the neighborhood entrance. Second - very few houses are decorated, now it looks like pretty much every neighborhood. Nothing to see.

Quite an evening. Although I have lived in the area for many years, seeing the light event was a first. Some of the home owners go all out to impress, so its a little disappointing that a few choose to not participate. Several homes had left their garbage containers in the street. Hard not to notice. But traffic was orderly and the route takes you past most of the decorated homes.

We drove 30 minutes to just look at the lights like every year. This years barely any houses are decorated its actually really sad cuz this neighborhood always been known for its lavage lights to bring so much joy and happiness during Christmas. Its honestly just a waste of time now your kids will most likely sit in the car and complain because theres literally maybe fifteen houses that have lights this year. most of the residents dont want to do it because of all the traffic and have complained a lot this year to the city about the people that do participate in the lights. We definitely will not be back.

Honestly, it’s really over-rated and underwhelming. You can drive around different neighborhoods and find lights just as pretty. There wasn’t anything spectacular. From the time we got in line, to the time we exited, it was three hours. Traffic was terrible. If it was just a regular neighborhood and you didn’t have to wait, it was be nice but it’s nothing to write home about.

Great experience! If someone wants to see Christmas lights by driving around the neighborhood, this is a great place in DFW area at least for the first time. Been to Prairie Lights (Grand Prairie), Vitruvian lights(Addison), Frisco square lights before but my kids enjoyed this place the best compared to those. To avoid big lines, need to be there around 7:00 PM otherwise expect long queues. You can buy fresh pop corn, hot cocoa, cotton candy (packaged, not my favorite),.. if you did not plan to carry snacks with you. Takes ~ 90 mins to drive around from the starting point.

Last year we became grand parents so my husband and I loaded up the Tahoe with the grown kids, nieces, my sister and her grand kids and not even half the houses had lights. Love this tradition. My only complaint is the police did not block off the left lane down by Tom Thumb so while it took me an hour plus to get to Green Oaks its because people were cutting because the police blocked the left lane and forced cutters to cut earlier instead of eliminating cutter near Tom Thumb. So if youre going for the lights get in the right lane when u see Tom Thumb on Fielder and Random Mill and make cutters turn around and get in line like you had to. Its a 2 hour wait at least.

This year seemed a lot shorter than in years past. We have made it a yearly tradition since 1998. My kids have grown up going. I enjoyed the streets where everyone participated, and seeing most of the favorites. Really beautiful light displays, and theres hot chocolate sold by some of the homeowners as well as popcorn and waters in case you didnt get any before getting in line.. the lines are super long but worth it in the end. My family enjoyed the lights and were grateful there were officers in the area to keep control of traffic specially in this cold weather, they were amazing for that.

Its a very nice drive thru Christmas light display with several neighborhood streets participating. Its extremely well organized with police directing traffic and an inside lane that allows the locals to travel around the visitors. Lines are very long but move very steady. Its fairly obvious that this has been an annual event for many years. Some of the displays have been around for a very long time. Almost every neighbor participates. Little children are probably going to be more drawn to this type of display. Fun, sometimes over the top with color or number of lights, but not fancy displays.I would have to say though, even in the rain, we enjoyed it more than the Highland Park tour, where cars were parked on both sides of the street and it was an absolute obstacle course to maneuver.

Weve gone every year since weve moved here six years ago and its only gotten better over the years. We love that they award the homeowners for their creativity and they get to sell items outside their homes if someone like to buy favors for their kids or need a drink. Gives them something to look forward to other than being blocked in or out of their homes. Also, youre not locked in and can really get out of line whenever you need or want to to leave.

Its an amazing experience, filled with street after street of beautifully decorated homes. Make sure you go early and Id even suggest you go during the week if you can because traffic can get very congested and backed up in this area in a major way. If youve never driven through this neighborhood then make sure you put it on a list for the Christmas season because its worth it. Make sure to eat or bring food and drinks along. Also if you small kids make sure you stop and take them to the restroom before you get locked into to the traffic pattern of this event. There is no where at all to stop and use the bathroom once youre committed. There are plenty of police that are in the area directing traffic. The 2017 Christmas season saw several home owners selling canned sodas, popcorn and hot chocolate from their yards as your vehicle drove by. It was a fun adventure that takes a good bit of time, so make sure to plan an evening for it.
