I discovered this park through a friend of mine last week and here I am again this week. I absolutely love this place! It is very clean and maintained not to mention all the fun options from renting a boat to renting jet skis. The park has showers restrooms which may i say are clean. I would have rated this park 5 stars if it wasnt for the broken locks on the restroom doors. I feel like this is a sight security issue. If this little issue is corrected by my next trip out here I will definitely rate Murray State Park 5 starts. Other than that small inconvenience I really love this place and will definitely return and recommend it to my friends and family.

We love coming to Lake Murray Water Sports! The staff is friendly and eager to assist in any way they can. You will not find better prices or options anywhere else. We rented the Island Cruiser for the day and had a great time! The wave runner was fun to take out with the kids. The kids enjoyed the water slide & trampoline in the water. We had a wonderful time! We will be coming back. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome for all ages. My two kids (9 and 6) had so much fun. We did Jet skis and canoe. The price for rental is reasonable and the people who work there are friendly too. The only cons is they have a small single rest room by the lake to change your clothes unless you walk to the loge for a cleaner room. And the website said that they practice social distance for covid19 but I dont see any staff wear masks.

We rented a jet ski about a month ago and had a blast! They were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, considering I hadn’t been on one in a few years. Another reviewer stated that he was followed by a staff member on a separate jet ski due to being a minority. I am not a minority but was also followed. It didn’t bother me at all! In fact, I was glad they were out there! I felt safer knowing they were nearby if any problems arose! I’ll be returning this weekend and can’t wait!

The staff is just Great. Well maintained, excellent view and my family had a blast. Oh cant forget that the water is so much clearer than any lake I have seen in Texas.

The people were easy to interact with to get our kayaks. The lake was beautiful even if you only see a really tiny part of it when on a non motorized boat. Will go back there to rent wave runners in the future!

I rented an Island Cruiser for my (ACTUAL AGE CENSORED) birthday to enjoy with my two teenaged children. The whole experience was comparable a 5-star resort on a Caribbean island. The staff was friendly and helpful — they detailed all the important features of the watercraft and gave us great tips about how to really enjoy our time on the water. They weren’t impatient with my questions and were extra friendly to my kids who were a little nervous about spending the day on the lake. When we returned, the staff was ready for us; helping us dock the boat and gave us such a great off-boarding experience that even my shy children remarked about what a great team of employees they have. I have already given the highest recommendation to my friends and family to spend an afternoon on the Lake with a boat from Lake Murray Watersports and I wholeheartedly recommend that you do the same.

Im not sure how anybody could possibly have anything negative to say. Just follow the rules. We rented the big party boat. We only had 7 people but its all that was available. So worth the mobey for us. I think the adults had more fun on the slide then the kiddos. We even took advantage of the grill on board the cooked burgers. The only negative I could begin to come up with. And its mostly our fault. We brought our own life jackets but there were several on the rails of the boat. We did not make sure they were secured before departing the dock and lost one. Since we rented the boat we felt it was our responsibility to go retrieve it taking away some of the wave runner time allotted. But as I said we should have made sure they were all secured before leaving the dock. But please read and follow thr rules. There was another rental tied up in front of us. A ski boat came and unloaded people onto the rental. The ski boat got way closer than 150 feet from us and made us extremely nervous. The anchor they were using was not heavy enough and the wind kept blowing the ski boat closer to us. We were all pretty tired by this time anyways so we brought our rental back at 5 instead of keeping it til 7.also make sure to secure your stuff. Keep the lake clean. The boat in front of us had paper plates and trash flying off of it. My kids ended up making a game of jumping off the boat to go retrieve other peoples trash.

It was closed because if COVID but we were able to get Jet Skis... so much fun.

A lake with lot of fun things to do. The staff were very friendly and guided us as needed. Since it was a weekday and there were just 2/3 groups, they let us access the lake for more than an hour.

This place was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, informative workers, whom let you have the most fun imaginable. Kids loved the trampolines and slides, and the jet skis were in great shape. Will go back tomorrow and check out the boats.

This was so much fun with our 8 year old. Nice shady spots for taking a break, clean bathroom to change in, snow cones and friendly staff. We definately want to rent one of the nearby cabins in the park and come back soon

Amazing experience from beginning to end. The owners and staff were super accommodating when a random storm rolled in and it was clear they actually care about people and their experience over a couple extra bucks. Will definitely be back!

Amazing experience! The staff was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They took time to explain everything and made us feel like we belonged. We rented the Pontoon boat with the Waverunner. What an amazing value! My family had the time of their life. Thanks again for making a wonderful experience for us! I highly recommend this group, they are a class act!

It was such an amazing place that we found on our trip to oklahoma. The owner i’m assuming of the place was so nice to us & super funny. He talked to my whole family and we enjoyed the spin on the boat. It was a nice boat tour and I definitely recommend it. We will be going back here again.

DID NOT KEEP CREDIT CARD SAFE/LOCKED UP!!!!! They insisted on hanging onto my card when we rented jet skis, and I questioned whether they would keep the card locked in a safe and they assured me they would safeguard it and that NOBODY but staff would have access. Ugh. I KNEW that was a bad system. There were young people milling around everywhere and there was lots of commotion and lots of foot traffic by the kiosk where they were holding my card. Now, today, the very NEXT DAY after I let them hang onto my card, a fraudulent charge was attempted on that card by someone at a 7-11, so now I had to block my card. Coincidence? It could be. Maybe my info was taken at a gas pump with all those skimmers out there. Thats why I raised my rating from the initial one star to three (giving Lake Murray Watersports the benefit of the doubt). Either way, there were too many people milling around to NOT have the cards locked up.

My church family and I try to go here once a year. This year was my youngest sons 1st time coming because he was sick last year. The smiles never leave everyones face and the employees are always so helpful and polite. I plan on looking into lodging here with my family in the near future.

Will never be back. If you are a minority watch out for this place! It began with them talking to us as if we were uneducated and ended with them trying to charge for an additional jet ski that their employee was using to follow us. The whole time we were on the lake we were being following and watched from binoculars, an hour into us riding they claimed we too close to the banks and to close to each other when we were idling talking to our families while they threw us water. So they asked us to go all the way back and turn in our jet skis with a full hour left and no refund. We refused and continued our time that we had already paid for 6-8pm. They then sent the police to get us off the jet skis. A police boat came at around 7:50 and told us we need to take them back because it was time and the staff had been bothering them for the past hour about us. Which we were fine with because the police were very respectful and our time was up. We then got followed by the staff all the way back and then we got back to the Water Sports, they are searching the jet skis looking for damage, they even flip the jet ski on its side to check underneath which they failed to do in the first walk around inspection we did with them. When they couldn’t find any damage on either of our jet skis they decided they are going to try to charge us for the time their staff spent watching/following us, 6-8pm $85/hr = $170. Too bad we paid cash and gave them a card with no money because we knew that they were going to try to pull something. Once they realized the card wouldnt work, they then told us they were trying to swipe our card without asking and what for. After that we took our card back that we had to physically take and left in the process of going back in forth cussing each other out with 5 of their workers all white males and a few of them wearing Trump shirts.Wish negative five stars because this was one of the worst experiences of my life. My friend warned me before we came out here but i didn’t think much of it, NOW I SEE WHAT HE MEANS. IF YOU ARE A MINORITY BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!

They had very good equipment in even though they were quite busy they still handled people coming in and out very well

We booked a party boat with slide and jet ski for a full day for my Dads surprise 80th birthday. We were told we could ride the jet ski for two hours but was NOT TOLD that the boat DOES NOT HAVE A MOTOR and the jet ski powered the boat. So basically you pay for the boat for a full day but can only drive it out and park it. We called them within 24 hours to cancel and they would not refund our $100 deposit even though the reservation was 2 days from today. This is deceptive and very bad business practices. On top of it all they were extremely rude! . I highly recommend not to rent from this company.

A little over priced in my opinion. We had a toddler that was too small for any of the water sports but his older brothers paid to do them. They still wanted to charge us for him to sit in the water and watch. The older kids had fun but I dont think they should charge for kids just to get in if already staying at the resort.

The young people working here are top-notch. Profession, friendly and efficient. My friend and I fell off our rented jet ski and I wasn’t able to get back on. Within minutes of falling off, one of the employees (Kyler, I think his name was) was there asking if we were ok and when I was not, immediately had someone bring a pontoon boat to rescue me. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back (just not on jet skis!).

Sunset cruise was GREAT! Our cruise guide David was very funny and knowledgeable.

We held a family reunion at one of the lake murry campgrounds and spent an entire day here at the watersports area. We had young ones from 2 years old all the way to our 84 yr old matriarch grandmother. Everyone had a blast. They have kayaks, paddle boards, and paddle boats. They have enough life jackets for a small army and the staff was very helpful choosing the right sizes for the kiddoes. The kids spent most of the day playing on the huge blow up water obstacles/thingies. After several hours of playing in the sun we filtered over to the mini golf course. The course is clean and well maintained but rather simple. After spending the better part of the day here we packed up and headed back to camp. The staff was very friendly and courteous throughout the whole day. The helped carry coolers and chairs and wouldnt let us carry the full trash bags. This staff gets an A plus rating and the business itself gets 5 starts out of 5.

Id say 2.5 stars. Value is DECENT could be better. Jet skis were fun, but i paid for 2 hours for 2 jet skis and had to come back after 1 hour a peice and asked if they could refund and they said they couldnt so i asked if i could get a rain check for the next day and was also a no. Not sure as to why theyre set up that way, seems like bad customer service to me. Why dont they just charge a card after you get back and beforehand only? Was going to be spending money with them all week, but now i wont. Wont next year either. Might be hard to find good renters in this business that follow their rules and treat their equipment as if it was the renters own, so im not sure the free $170 they were able to skieve out of this transaction was worth it since now they wont recieve anymore money from a good renter.

For sure, one of my favorite places on Lake Murray. Great place to spend a hot summer days in Ardmore. Rental of kayaks, jet skis, etc. The mini golf is quite basic but it is a good complement. At least today, I am missing the possibility to buy food (sandwiches, snacks, etc.).Edit: I had no luck and the mini golf food was not available at the time I wrote my comment, but, according to the comment received (Thanks!), I must add that there are alternatives to eat in the area, which I did not know :( I plan to savor them next time :)Yes or yes, I recommend this site.

This is a great place to spend a day or a weekend. Lots of fun things to rent (jet skis, party boats, etc.) and other activities. We rented a party boat. Staff was great. Took great care of us and made sure we had a great day on the lake.

Our family of four has visited Lake Murray of few times in the last few years. We have rented jet skis and one of their boats on two different occasions. The rental process was easy, great directions on how to use their equipment and a fun time had by all. Would definitely recommend Lake Murray Water Sports.

We love the rentals!I have to add: The staff (which includes the owners that are actually present as much as possible), work hand-in-hand to ensure the SAFETY of everyone that rents from them on the lake!When renting, their crew consistently heads out on the jet skis to assist finding buoys to save on motor time, assisting renters when jet skis flip, and will bring propane and gas out to the rentals.As for the costs: We are renters. Renting an $8000 jet ski for $80 an hour, or a $20k boat, for $200-500, doesnt come close to the cost of their purchase, maintenance, cleaning crew, and last, insurance!If you have 25 people on a boat for example and it costs $500, that amounts to only $20 per person for a whole day of entertainment! Wow!!Rules! They dont make them. Just as DPS have road rules - they apply to the water! Dont break them! Everyone wants to have a great time and keep their families SAFE!The property is kept spotless! There are numerous opportunities to engage your family and friends here! LOVE this place! It was my families first time there this past weekend. The staff was so cool. They made us feel at ease right away. We rented an island cruiser and the only negative is that we only did a half day. Next time it will be a full day for sure! Thanks for the fun! See you again soon. :)

Weve been here quite a few times and had a blast every time. The guy is really nice and fun. Weve rented jet skis and havent had a problem. They made sure we were safe and had a good time.The sunset cruises are also great and he can tell you all that youd ever want to know about the lake and area.

Had a blast with a group of 15 girls putt putting. Simple old fashioned course but completely remodeled with bright colors - right on the lake - great cheap outdoor activity.

The lake water is very clean. The staff at the boat rental was very nice. Went here twice with my family and love it.

Found this place on Google Maps and drove out here to spend a day on the lake. Their listing says they’re open today.I saw the closed sign and went into the nearby lodge to ask when they open. The girl at the counter said “some time in May”.Well, fix your freaking Google Maps listing. Thanks for wasting my time and gas.Update: As you can see in the owner’s response below, he tries to blame the nearby lodge for his incompetence, and he still hasn’t updated his Google Maps listing to reflect the proper information.Just stay permanently closed, man. It’s just easier and better for everyone.

We love this place! Staff is awesome and they always come check on us to see if we need anything. Everything you need to have fun is located at the same spot and it’s on the lodge property. The island cruiser is definitely worth the money!

They have it all. The sunset cruise was informative and beautiful! My son had a blast on the inflatable and ski jet. This is truly a place for your family of all ages.We will return and stay in one of the cabins on the lake.I wish more caretakers kept their area as clean as this place.Thank you guys for providing a truly safe and fun place for all to enjoy!Not once did we experience rudeness from any of the employees or the owners.

We have the Island Cruisers multiple times. Each time We had a great experience, even when the weather didn’t cooperate for awhile. The staff is always so helpful and accommodating. I am anxious to see if the new boat slip is ready for easier access to the boats. We will definitely be back this summer!
