A perfect place to spend a hot day. Get cooled off in the splash pad and then warm up on the playground. Best for above 3 but doable for younger with constant supervision. There is a pavilion and public bathrooms. Please be sure to pick up after yourself.

Splash pad is super fun, for kids and adult children. There is also a playground with soft rubber across the ground. Great place to bring a lunch and enjoy the warm weather.

Has a very nice playground and splash pad! Small pretty and clean park. Has a small pavillion. Has bathrooms, however, not sure if they are unlocked right now during Covid-19, but there is a portable one available.Cons: Gets very busy, no grills.

There is so much to see and do here. Trust me, totally worth at least one visit. Masks arent worn as it is an outside play area. The kids are having a lot of fun at the splashpad. The regular playground is also open and no masks worn there either as kids frequently go between the pad and the dry playground.

This park is pretty amazing for a city park! It’s got waterworks, a playground, a stage, a gazebo and much more! They keep it well groomed and the flower beds are maintained well. Great park!

Awesome playground and splash pad. Swinging benches and plenty of space to hang out or eat. But the ground on the playground gets super hot during the day (especially for a place that kids are running around barefoot on because of the splashpad).

The waterworks are still going for the kids still open to walk around. Unfortunately not as open for views. Apartments have gone up around the park. Plenty of dog walkers too. Dont go barefoot. Go and see the park, but no bathroom is open.

This is a great park to bring your family and let your kids play. There is a playground, seeing set, and a splash park. There is also a nice gras area on the west side of the splash park to lay down a blanket and just sit in the sun.

Big play area and fun water sprayers. My oldest elementary-aged kid loves the water play. My younger two did not like the water as much. The play ground is big but doesnt have amazing sight lines for keeping a close eye on the kiddos. It is a busy little park, but also fun.

Good place for the kids to play and cool off... Just wish the water didnt shut off at times to certain ones.... Its not very big.... And because of the shut offs you spend more time going back and forth between things than actually spending in the water playing.

Love Kelly Park! The splash pad is right next to the playground and bathrooms. There is a covered pavilion and the whole space is covered with grass. There are a few trees to sit under and picnic tables. The only negative is its right next to the road. Which is also a positive for packing a days worth of stuff to your favorite spot.

The splash pad is great on hot days. Plenty of shady spots to sit in the grass, but the benches and picnic tables mostly arent in the shade, so bring a blanket or chair. The playground is nice too, and there is plenty of open area for running, games, etc. Ice cream truck usually comes by now and then as well.

The construction of numerous, massive apartment buildings all around this park makes it feel enclosed. One water fountain is being reconstructed and is fenced off. Rust stains the concrete in the splash pad. The playground is in good working condition. The pavilion is a nice addition, but has far too many tables crammed in there.

A great place to bring the grandkids to play. The Apple Valley Fire Department was on hand putting on a bike fest and lunch for all. A great morning in the park.

Great park to bring your kids! It has a nice little pavilion to eat snacks. The only recommendation is that in the summer when the water is going, to have your kids wear a swim suit even if they dont want to go in the water because the playground gets wet.

Has a splash pad in the summer and a playground. It is surrounded by apartment buildings now, so it was better a few years ago.

Fun for all ages. There was a gentleman who sang for a while with a speaker and then he and his son made sword balloons for all the kids. Nice surprise and kind thing to do. The slides on the park get very hot and so does the rubber ground. So wear shorts on the slides and shoes/ sandals. Bring a cup or bucket so kids can play on splash pad. Ice cream truck comes frequently, so cool off with a treat ($1-$4). There is a bathroom by the park and splash pad. Nice when u have little ones. Lots of little trees to get shade from or bring a pop up tent on busy days. We had a fun day today. Nice clean park.

Awesome place. Nice jungle gym area that is nicely padded, and the splash pad is decent size. There is plenty of room to run and play whether you want to get wet or stay dry. The only reason I didnt give it more stars is because it is dirty. They do not clean it regularly. There is broken glass on the sidewalk that was there on a Sunday, and still there the following Thursday. We walk there, and the glass is not in the play area, but you would think someone should have picked it up within 4 days.

This is the most fabulous place to just go to. From relaxing in the shade or frolicking ( yes...I said frolicking) on the splash pad, napping in the sun or listening to the fountains, it is a wonderful escape. But, that being said...be sure to escape by 10:00pm...or you will be escaping from the Apple Valley bike cops!!!

Its a fun place for kids, they got a splash pad, slides, swings everything that a kid likes. I didnt see a parking lot but plenty of on street Parking was available, there are lots of trees( they need little more time to be matured ) but you can get shade under them for a picnic blanket or there are lots of benches available to sit.

This is such an amazing park for the kids. The splash pad is really nice and open so its easy to sit still but still have a great view of the whole water area. Theres a nice covered picnic area right in the middle and plenty of trees for shaded observation.The playground is also very nice and well maintained. My only comments are that the rubber flooring under the play structure gets VERY hot and the play structure can become slippery from kids going back and forth between the splash pad and playground. I have my daughter slip on her shoes before going to play on the playground which helps with both the heat and traction.

Very family friendly! Nice, organized, clean park. Everyone seems to enjoy the amenities and get along with each other. A Mecca for Pokeman players, lol, so traffic can be increased on the surrounding roads. But very friendly, cautious drivers.

A full featured park in the heart of Apple Valley, complete with a free water park type area for the kids and a massive playground. During the summer, there are live musical performances on Friday nights, including food and drink vendors and a fun festive atmosphere that is very kid friendly. If youre into AR gaming, this park is a hot spot for Ingress and Pokemon Go players due to the high concentration of portals/stops.

Love this place! What a great park with a playground, splash pad, picnic tables, a small gazebo, public restrooms that can be used to change clothes if you need to. It is a ton of fun for young children! Under the playground is a rubber base that is super springy.When it is busy, it is hard to find an open picnic table, but there is lots of grass to sit on as well. Kelly Park is just off of the main downtown area in Apple Valley, just South of 42 on Galaxie Ave. It almost seems like it is being swallowed up by all of the new apartments. :-) Fridays in the summer are free live music nights.

Nice centrally located park with a splash pad. Some older trees would be nice to provide more shade, but its a new park so you cant expect that.

A nice park for kids to play in. In the summer they have a lot of things for the kids to do with water spraying out of various things the kids can play with. There is a nice shaded gazebo in the middle of the park that parents can sit at and watch their kids from.In the summers they have a band shell set up and they have live music in the evenings. They did have a lot of available parking, but with the new apartments up it might be difficult to find good parking for the music if you are not there early.This park is very popular with adults because of a game called Ingress. The park has many portals that are constantly fought over (online not physically) and so this place is known to have adults walking or driving through at all hours (even in the winter) while playing the game on their phones.

Nice park for music in the park but the splash pad right next to the playground was a bad idea. The worst part of the park is being surrounded by a sea of apartment complexes.
