This is a nice big open grassy area to have a picnic, and hang out with family and friends. Not too much seating or benches so if youre going to have more than a few people, bring your folding table and chairs.This is also a great place to host events because of the vast open space. The town has a huge community yard sale here each year that you can take part in or just come and shop. Its a nice well kept purposeful park.

Great walking place, not too much for kids. Watch out for the people hanging out. We had a scary situation with the youngest a couple of weeks ago.

We like this park because theres a large enough grassy area theres a baseball area. The kids play baseball theres some areas for hiking and lots of rabbits for my dog to chase so if shes a happy girl Im a happy girl thank you and enjoy

Just wish there was more trees! But plenty of room for hiking &climbing around Bass Hill with a sick view of Apple Valley and the surrounding cities.

Its an ok park with a porta potty a few benches and a half mile walk to the Newton Bass hilltop house. Sometimes theres a shredfest /refuse day every two months and sometimes a annual yard or rummage sale. Some sports such as soccer seem to be played there however theres no goal posts or equipment. No playground just a grassy field.

Nice park for a picnic, nice cool green grass and quiet atmosphere even there is no play area for kids.

Dirt parking. Nice grassy field. No bathroom. Great for exercising. The kids do their cross country training here.

Beautiful grass well kept up has a Porter partiers will is dog poop bags my puppy loves it may seem to some like its a little close to the road with the bus stop and the outer highway 18 but he does very well been going there since he was a puppy no complaints we love it nice place for the Sun to be there theres also walking trails you can go from there hes met several nice dogs Im very into parks that are people and dog friendly so this is definitely one of them thank you Apple Valley oh also do concerts in park as well as movies in the summer !! AWESOMENESS

No frills park, great for leisurely walks with your dog. Lots of families walking around the track and surrounding area in the late afternoon. Check out the fairy tree by the foothills ;)

I love this place for walking. The two hills, one to the water towers and the other to an abandoned house, are great for a solid hard workout. Once you get to the top the view is breathtaking!

Nice place to get a very good work out. Not to many people. But people do bring there dogs with no leash. But its most definitely one of my favorite places to run. God bless and bring water. I feel like im on top of the world when i reach the water tower.lol

A good park to be at solo and with a group. Has open big green field, with couple picnic tables, few trees for shade, one Portable bathroom, few bbq pits, One water fountain, good hiking/rock climbing spot thats nearby in walking distance, good mnt scenery view, and vvta #41 bus stop is in front of park

Nice mellow place to walk your dogs and hike with family. I use to go here all the time before it became widely know as it is today and was able to walk my dogs off leash but now it seems like a bunch of older people who has nothing better to do than complain comes here so I cant off leash walk as freely as I use to. But if you see 4 German shepherds chasing rabbits thats me and all my dogs are pet and family safe.

I love walking up to the famous hilltop house with my dog I wish more people especially with aggressive dog would keep them on a lease had one incident I would advise everyone to be watchful but one close call in over three years wasnt bad

I really like this park, theres a track and I usually start my hike to the Hill top house from Lions. Its a great place to go with my dogs but unfortunately a lot of people take their dogs without leashes. Its disappointing but hey its a people problem.

Good little park for the kids too run around at and a perfect place too have football practice.

The Town needs to do more to make the lone Ballfield more suitable for Baseball Teams to practice on.

Went to the flea market. It was very nice. Not too hot since it had rained.

Its a small Park with really nothing there. I didnt even see a bathroom. There are some shade trees so it would be a nice place for a picnic and they do have some picnic tables there although I didnt see any grills. I was there for an event and thats the only time Ive ever been there are for events.

Went to the rocking flea market it was fun.Reason for the 3 stars Unfortunately the park itself is sad. Half the tress have been cut down. The ground is uneven guess due to gopher holes its hard to walk on especially if your a senior citizen. Town needs to spruce this place up or close it down.

*All parks in Apple Valley are open from dawn to dusk.This park is great for dogs. There isnt any play equipment for kids however there is a large grass area, drinking fountains, and plenty of parking (dirt). A lot of people use this park and the immediate surrounding area for exercise/running/ walking/ hiking. This park provides great views and the people are friendly.

A nice little park, very few people frequent this place so its quite a chill place to relax or walk a dog.

Nice little park lots of shade trees, thats about all thats there so if you just want to lay on the grass underneath the shade tree, this is the place to do it!

Beautiful if turned into a dog park otherwise was nice.

Very small park out in the middle of a lot of dirt. Tons of parking (unmarked) and surprisingly there isnt a lot of people here so its a nice little place. For people coming from the city (Los Angeles), its a small patch of grass - very small surrounded by lots of dirt. We like to park our cars here if we go walk up to the hillhouse (great exercise).
