The birds in the main room are ridiculously loud when they get going.Also- MUST BUY TICKETS ONLINEPrivate showing would have probably been better. Awesome little conservancy we never knew about..may go back for.private tour. Probably more animals

I am surprised why any one would rate this place below 5 stars!!. Its a non profit organization that houses rescued animals for educational purposes. For the kind of funds they have, the place is really well maintained. Staff are helpful, friendly and informative. What else you expect ? . Its the right place for kids to get to know the animals and understanding how important they are for healthy balance of eco system. Parking is limited but most of the time available. Access is from Ann Arbor Saline road. Tickets are under $10 as of 2018 September.

I fell in love with the Creature Conservancy while we were there. They have many rescued animals, including Tulip, the adorable red kangaroo. There were lively presentations about various animals in their care and they even let us give Tulip a quick pet after the presentation. She was so incredibly soft! They had a cougar, tortoises, opossums, sloths, birds, an alligator, and more! Id recommend coming here, and even more if you have kids.

Love this place! A scrappy little zoo that is clearly built and run with passion, and makes for a fun weekend afternoon. We come with our preschooler at least a few times every year, and recently brought my parents too who also had a great time and were impressed. Really interesting animals, great presentations and programs. Its always changing - new animals on display, innovative enclosures and spaces for them.

I am not sure how this place went under our radar for so long, but I am glad we finally discovered it! While I cannot speak for the experience for the regular admission, my husband and I had an amazing time on our private tour with Alexander. He showed us the facilities, introduced us to all of the animals, provided tons of interesting facts about the species he was showing us, as well as fun information regarding the personalities of the animals themselves. He told us that this was our tour and to let him know if we wanted more or less information about any particular animals, but really, everything he presented was perfect. We had many questions and he was able to answer all of them. In addition to getting to see all of the animals, we also got to pet a kangaroo, feed porcupines, and feed sloths. I definitely plan to come back and see the animals when it is warmer and more of them can venture outside and get to see the demos put on during regular hours.

Drove from Lansing to check this place out. I loved the aesthetic. The wood with metal and glass. Every animal has its own very unique enclosure. Looks like they do a animal spotlight, show, teaching thing every half hour. My only regret is that I got here at 4pm (they close at 5) and then went in the middle of winter. This place would be ever better when you can see animals outside!

Hands down one of my favorite places in Michigan, and certainly in South East Michigan. If you are a lover of animals, you must check this place out. Creature Conservancy is home to many exotic animals, some rescued, some from zoos. The staff takes time educating the public on the animals; all of their educational programs and series have been fantastic. We had a private party for my birthday where I got to select which animals my guests would get to interact with. I still get people who gush about that birthday party! Where else can you get up close to a cougar while she eats, or a reindeer during the holidays? Their seasonal/holiday programs are a lot of fun!

You get to see a wide variety of animals that have been rescued or were owner surrenders. I spoke with multiple staff members and they dont make you feel like youre bothering them if you have questions. Backgrounds are posted for each animal. I adored some of the punny names. A raven named Poe, a reindeer named Sven, and a pair of crows named Russell and Sheryl. Very friendly, educational and fun! And its only $10 for adults!

The Creature Conservancy is a must-see attraction. The staff were very friendly and informative, and the animals were amazing! The enclosures are designed so you can be up close and personal with the animals. I learned a lot during the creature presentations. Each creature has a unique enclosure and the Conservancy has an effortless flow that allows to see everything at your own pace. Definitely all the good review but they need AC/vents or some kind of circulation system. There was a single fan in the hall and people were crowded around.. They also would benefit from a vending machine even only drinks. We had to cut our trip short bcz it was way too hot inside. The turtle display was practically a sauna. Staff was amazingly knowledgeable and we attended 2 presentations that we enjoyed.

This is a great place to visit yourself and take the kids or grandkids or out-of-town visitors with an interest in animals. There is a lot to see and the staff is especially friendly. Admission prices are reasonable and you can feel good about paying because this is a nonprofit educational organization. Booked a private tour as my cousins birthday present. So, two adults in their mid to late 30s. It was fantastic! We saw some animals up close, got to see some fed, even got to feed and pet a couple! Never expected to get to experience all that we did. Our guide, Patricia, who is the director of the Conservancy, knows every creature there in depth. We both learned SOOO much! I will definitely be going back!Coming from Jackson, I took a route that had me off the highway at Stivers restaurant. Was a great route to take to avoid the traffic youll get closer to A2. The Conservancy does share its parking lot with Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital. My GPS seemed a tad confused just before we turned onto Ann Arbor-Saline Rd, wanting me to turn right instead of left. But the Vet office & Conservancy were clearly visible to my left, as they are on the corner, so I didnt have any issues finding the entrance or parking.

Yesterday, I went on a private tour at TCC, and my mind was blown. Dan was our tour guide and we did this for my birthday. The tour lasted about 2.5 hours and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life!! We got to help feed animals, touch them, learn a lot of interesting facts about these different animals, and my dream came true of meeting a sloth. I got to meet TWO. Dan was an absolute all star and very accommodating. My friend and I had never been and I now want to go back for another tour. I cant recommend this place enough. The animals seem so happy and the staff is absolutely incredible. Even if you dont want a private tour, I believe Dan said it was only $8 to spend the day there and you get to meet different animals (we fed an emu celery out of our hands before our tour even started and that was open to the public. We also touched the ant eater as he walked down the aisle and that was also for the public). You get experiences here you can only dream of. Get here. You will not regret it!
