This is an amazing spot to take a walk with a friend, lover, your kids...amazing sites from parking or walking the beach. Beach is a pebble beach made up of many of Alaskas natural gem stones, including carnelian, jade, chalcedony, quartz and sea glass. As well as others I have less knowledge of. The views from the parking lot of susitna and at time Denali will capture your breath! Sunset proves to bewilder me everytime I take the short drive. Also consider there is a ton of jet plane noises that can be heard as well as felt when planes are landing and taking off depending on the wind patterns. Being such a short ride from Anchorage midtown, I take my children here once a month in the least, the ocean washes away our stresses and we forage a few new treasures! Also a quick mention there are times when a few food trucks will visit the lot on the weekend and oh boy do we know food in Alaska...
Best area to see the beautiful Sleeping Lady, shortwalk to the neighboring parks like Earthquakes Park, to the Air Museum, Lakehood Seaplanes and to the Jet Blast area for plane spotting. Beautiful horizon and come to appreciate one of the beauties of Anchorage. Plane Spotters, put those DSLR and expensive lenses to use and spot the 777s, 747s, MD11, the Dreamlifter and more!
An excellent view point on the aircraft. The planes are here to take off. The mountain is also visible and you can see how the ice is going. Beautiful!
Beautiful park! Theres free parking and its park of the coastal trail! Theres views of mount Denali on a clear day
Easy to find and great lookout for planes taking off from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
This is where to watch the show. The sunsets here are nothing short of phenomenal. It can get a little crowded but it makes me happy to see so many people who appreciate the beauty of our Alaska.
Point Woronzof is a rocky beach with a head-on view of Sleeping Lady (Mount Susitna) across Cook Inlet, and quite possibly the best place in Anchorage to watch sunsets. It sits right behind the Ted Stevens International Airports cargo terminal, so it is quite loud with planes flying low overhead throughout the day. While that may seem annoying, it is one of the parks main attractions. The park is also on the Coastal trail, and is a good place to park for jogging, biking, or in the winter skiing the trails.
Always beautiful!
I love this park. I live in Oregon and travel to Alaska 4 times a year. This is always my first and last stop to and from the airport. The views are amazing and I love watching the huge jets fly in and out. Have never hiked down to the beach, but would love to someday.
Nice views and great walking paths.
Scenic. Fairly busy even on weekdays in winter. No public restrooms.
Views of large bodies of water are relaxing
I always love to be here to watch the sun rise and set :).
Its beautiful
Watching the tide rush in carrying lots of Ice in was amazing
One of my favorite places to go to here in Anchorage.
I got some awesome photos from here. It was my first real glimpse of the variety of natural sights Alaska has to offer.Had a nice hike and stretched my legs.
Came here to see aurora. Did not. May try again another nite, or just come back in the daytime.
Beach was clean people were friendly
I am rating the park not the place or the bike trail.I go here everyday with my dogs, the pumping station for Anchorages human waste is right there & the access tunnel is on the beach. When you get to the beach you can turn left & walk past the sewage plant (I gag & hold my breat it’s so bad) or you can turn right & you come to a horrible attempt to stop the hills erosion and the access pipe which will produce very foul odors. The locals like to spray paint some interesting things on it.The beach is great otherwise beautiful views, mostly small rocks but very nice. The parking lot is visited by public workers but if you lost something there it’s ok they don’t pick up. (I do!)I’ve been harassed three times by the airport police trying to make a name for themselves. (Dogs in car relaxing after walking, never any tickets just harassment for being at the park first lol)So don’t go if you can’t pass their tests. All & all I go there because there isn’t many people, go figure.
Best place for a sunset.
“Nice Vista Point.”U can see all anchorage skyline from here....also u can see sleeping lady mountain...if weather permits then Denali is also visible from here. I also enjoy when plane is taking off or landing over here.. next to airport.
This is often the go to place to start our walk on the coastal trail. Its not too busy but not rely eerily quiet. There are doggie bags available in the parking lot. You can opt to go down towards the beach or walk along the coastal trail. Watch for moose!!!
One of my favorite spots in Anchorage. It is right at the end of one of the runways of Anchorage Intl. Airport, so one can enjoy watching an endless stream of cargo and passenger planes coming in low over the shoreline and landing at the airport. So cool! Nice shoreline too as well as a view of the Anchorage skyline, and a great place to watch the sunrise.
Great place to go with the dog and kids love rocks and sand...me too...I have a decent collection of cool rocks from this place:)
Mountain View
Beautiful viewpoint. You must walk the trails and see all the different perspectives.
Great place to bike, ski or walk, nice sunset views of the inlet, always be prepared to encounter moose.
Its really a great view and the planes coming in our taking off make the area a nice place to stop by for a bit.
This place has some nice viewing spots when planes are coming in and if youre lucky enough to see the northern lights, this would be a good viewing spot.
Nice walk to water, romantic walk along shoreline, view is amazing!!!
Awesome view, this is the closest to a beach that you will find in anchorage.
Great place to see Denali on a clear day, lots of parking and access to the coastal trail.
Beautiful park to go for a walk or take your dog for a walk!
Very nice walk close to the city and wonderful views of the great mountains. I even see beluga whales out once in awhile.
Really pretty view from here. Do yourself a favor and make your way down to the beach.
Nice suburban park. Bays and mountain views
Not very peaceful as it is at the end of the Anchorage airport runway. Very loud!!
If you are visiting Anchorage and looking for wildlife, keep driving out by Woronzof and Earthquake Parks and you will eventually see moose.
Pretty views from the beach.
Very nice
Its very beautiful

Great view
Right at the end of the runway - very loud
