Centrally located in midtown, this is a great park right next to the Public Library. Its a nice spot to bring your kids to play on the playground, take a stroll around the spacious grounds, hold an event in the stadium, play sports in the field, admire the birds in the pond, or go big and hold a hug event in the entire park! The possibilities are endless.

What a fun place! We went to Charlies Bakery first and picked up lunch, then headed to a park close by. YIPES all the ducks and a few geese. Also lots of people watching, some with their dogs, and some feeding the waterfowl. I stayed in the car with my lunch and just watched. Lunch was great and the park a definite thumbs up! Bring some multi grained bread.

There is a wide open space which is great for playing with your dog or group activities with friends. A nice open-air amphitheater is in the center. Good playground for kids and a track that can serve as an ice rink in winter.

I really just want to tell everyone this park is terrible so it can be my secret, but its actually really cool. I take my 4-11 year olds there and they all have a blast. Its clean, newer equipment, there are other ball parks and fields to play in and its pretty quiet

Lovely park, would be 5 but for the angry Canadian geese who drop dueces bigger than my dog. Seriously, what are they eating? Anyway, my kiddo loves the playground, great place for a midtown picnic lunch

This is a nice park in Midtown, the last place youd expect a park to be. I like the nice walking path, theres a pond and playground, and very accessible. During the winter, the track becomes an ice skating track. The only big downside are the geese during the summer time. They poop everywhere and they hiss at you, but I havent had any major issues. Its a great location for a big events because of the big grass area and also an amphitheater type stage.

Great place to take a walk with a nice paved track that circles a bird park. Hundreds of geese, ducks, seagulls, grebes, and magpies. It also has a full playground on the north end with out houses. Grassy area that is used to fly kites, practice yoga, and leashed dogs are welcome.

Well its a fun park and I wish they would fix the sounds on the play equipment.

Da

Can walk in circles on their paths. The ducks and geese are fun to watch but they also bring a big mess. The grass and trails are almost impassable because of the droppings. Easy access to several things to do in town. If you are just out walking around, then stop here in the fall to see the birds, but watch your step.

And of course the water fowl.Use caution entering and exiting, drive slow. The dont want to be underneath your vehicle and or your tires. Check it out in any weather. Big recommend from me.

Pond is filthy with human trash evident everywhere. Forget about the goldfish. There was a bicycle tire, barbeque grill and numerous other detritus in the pond and on land. Dead birds as well. One Canada goose whose legs were entangled with fishing line. I used to love relaxing there. Now it looks like a midtown dump.

For outdoor ice skating, the Cuddy Oval is reliably maintained throughout the winter and provides a good opportunity to get outdoors and get a few dozen laps in, if that is your thing! Worthy of note: parking on the west side of the Oval is limited to about a dozen spaces, but the parking lot is seldom full except during events.

This is a great park. I go here often to walk my dog as it is close to my home. Only negative I have experienced is the many homeless people that camp out here, as well as many people having their dogs off leash. There are signs all over stating your dog must be on the leash at all times. Ive had a few scary run ins with people with mean dogs off leash.

This is an awesome park, which the rest of Anchorage needs to find! In the summer theres a lovely trail, along which you have a nice overlook, and ducks, next to the duck pond. In the winter, the trail is still walkable, but theres also skating on the pond, and the best outdoor skating in Anchorage is on the skating oval! Also, theres great lights on the oval for nighttime skating. But even with the lights on, you can see the beautiful lights on buildings in other parts of town. The only thing missing is a nice warming shelter!

Da
Review №88

This is a great multiple use park. There is a large lawn area, a duck pond (dont feed the ducks) with walking circuit around it, play equipment including a rock climbing structure. It is conveniently located near the library in midtown. It was clean, people were friendly, and there was a nice parking area. The only reason I couldnt give it 5 stars was the duck pond. If I had toddler aged kids, I would definitely be concerned about the access to the duck pond as I could see a toddler ending up in it when rushing to see the ducks.
