This was a great hike! Lots of trails to explore, and there were some beautiful marsh views.

Beautiful area for a hike

Easy shaded trails make for a peaceful walk. Can do it in a loop or just straight and back.

Only hiked a small portion of the trail, but it was quiet and enjoyable for the most part. However, the directions lead to “private” road into a recently built housing development, and there is no parking lot... we parked on the side of the road next to a trail entrance. That part of the trail borders the backyards of said housing development, so be ready for that. As we were leaving, a resident drove by and gave us a long look....like we weren’t supposed to be there. The trail signs seem recently updated so maybe it’s just that the directions lead us to the wrong place.

Beautiful part of the state.

Old roads and trails. Woods to explore. Fairly remote. Good place to hunt. Good place to let the dog explore too. Fairly quiet and often few people.

Great place for views. Might do well to avoid during Skeeter season

Great easy hiking here. Take time to sit on boardwalk and wait for the main reason you are here.

Nice place for hikers and bike riders, great outdoors walks for families, and pets,, Small parking lot for about 12 vehicles,, Board with maps of trails, or contact Amherst conservation dept, vea web for maps.. There is allso hunting aloud in here starting September 1st for bear thru December 15, for whitetail deer,, So its recommended that u wear BLAZE ORANGE VESTS OR AT LEAST A HAT AND TO NOT BE WALKING TRIALS FOR THE FIRST 2 AND LAST 2 HOURS OF DAYLIGHT NOT TO DISTURB HUNTERS derring this season.
