This is a pretty mellow, but fun, hike. It’s just outside of Pasadena in the Angeles National Forest. We walked through the creek with our dog, Bertrand, and my friend took a shower in the waterfall. I would love to camp here for a night or two. All in all, I’d recommend this hike to anyone and everyone.

Lovely place...lots of shade and trees. Easy hike takes you to a cute waterfall. Suggest to be there fairly early..some people like to bring their families and hang around..so it gets pretty packed

Its a nice hike.Take good walking shoes and plenty of water since it does get Hot. There is nice shade so thats +. We park on top of the mountain then walk down to the campsite and continued up to the waterfall. If you have small children i suggest you park near the campsite( go up the mountain, then turn left where it say addition parking[its down the mountain]).

Small, but nice waterfall. The hike is rather short and light. Only 0.5 miles to reach it. Trail is well maintained and offers a good amount of shade. Its a great hike if you want enjoy nature without going deep into the mountains.

Millard falls is a nice and relatively easy hike. Its scenic but it gets quite crowded on the weekends. Also parking can be tough, so get here early (entrance opens at 8A). There is a short route, about 1 mile, and a second route that is longer if you start above the parking lot. Enjoy and keep the trails clean!

Went on 10 5 19 and found plenty of water still there. There was wildlife such as deer, frogs, tadpoles, many birds and lizards. It was such an enjoyable short hike, that is very we shaded without much of an incline there or back. It is not a loop trail however and you must cross the stream about 5 times or so along the hike. I will definitely be going back to this one.

An easy hike to the falls which takes about 30 minutes from the main parking lot. You need to buy a parking pass, however, from the parks or REI for $4.99. The hike is pretty much shaded and goes along the stream from where the waterfall begins. You can also see Californian newts in the water.

The water is less than what I thought but it’s still better than nothing. It’s pity that I can’t see its full strength considering how much rain it is this year. It’s more fun if you go above the waterfall by the side path. Be careful because this is the most dangerous part of trail. But it’s the shortcut to the dawn mine trail

Millard Canyon Falls trail is a relatively easy trail with plenty of shade. The trail does not have too much foot traffic, though I did see quite a few mountain bikers. It is one of those trails where you start going downhill first, then uphill on the way back. Make sure that you have a day pass or a year adventure pass to display on dashboard.

Best place to visit 1/2 mile from parking. I visited this place in spring because it is still raining. I like it because you walk on trails near by the creek and a lots of shade area around because I do not like that much sun. There is a park ground. Parking adjacent and restrooms at the campground. Pretty greenery and beautiful water sounds around the trail area. Must go.

Explored Millard Falls 4-20-19. While only a 1/2 mile hike to the falls its not a flat, easy 1/2 mile. You need to have good balance and flexibility. The falls were flowing nicely. Youre better off just walking through the 2-6 deep water. The parking lot was full but we had the falls to our self for a few minutes. Theres an enterprising woman dressed in look-a-like USFS attire (but no patches or insignia) selling day use Adventure Passes for $7 ($2 over actual cost) at the parking lot entrance. On the way out just give your pass to someone coming in. On the road up there youll come to what looks like a trailhead parking lot but you need to make a hard left (sign says additional parking) and drive down a steep grade for 1/4 mile to get to the correct parking lot.

So many hiking trails. Each time we come, we find something new. Millard Falls trail is short but filled with boulders and tree trunks. Kids and adults alike scrambled up to see the falls. Sparse but pretty much year round. Parking is great. Will need a permit. Make sure to bring it, because they dont sell day passes there.

Heres the Rundown:When youre winding through the road towards the trails, youll be driving on for a hot minute. Your passenger will start to question if the road even leads to anywhere and if you even have the right directions. The truth is: you do. And you can cite this review as a source. Just keep driving and youll eventually see a trail head and another road that leads even more down the mountain. If you want the Millard trails which goes towards the waterfall, keep driving down.[TIP:] DRIVE SLOW. I dont know who taught yall how to drive, but some people here drive down the narrow winding roads like they own the road. DUDE. The road is so narrow and it winds around the mountain. You cant see if theres incoming cars. Drive SLOW. And some people even drive in the middle of the narrow lanes. Are you kidding?Eventually, youll make it to the parking lot. Most likely, it will be empty. Dont freak out. There isnt a serial killer there.. probably. When you leave your car and start going towards the start of the trail, youll see a bunch of signs. The ones that stuck out to me where If you encounter a bear.... and Parking passes must be displayed.Obviously, none of us want to get eaten by a bear. Dont worry. Im pretty sure there are no bears.. probably. And obviously none of us have parking passes and we dont want to get a ticket. Dont worry, I think youll be okay. Everyone there didnt have a parking pass, so Im pretty sure that sign is bull.Just go.So... As you go through the trail, youll be walking alongside the gorgeous stream that trails to God knows where. As long as you stick by the stream, you shouldnt get lost. If you do get lost, then youre an i--.As you follow the trail, you will realize that the trail gets cut off all the freaking time. Yes, you have to cross the stream. You have to step on those rocks to cross to other side and continue the trail. When you cross the stream, I cannot stress how careful you need to be. Its like 2 or 3 feet wide and maybe 8 inches deep, but I mean you still have to be careful. Maybe wear pants with zippered pockets so your phone doesnt fall out of your pocket.Unless youre a genius, your foot will most likely end up in the water. Just give in to it. Its inevitable. By the end of the hike, your shoes will be drenched. Sorry not sorry. When you reach the waterfall, its gorgeous. I went after it rained so it was really lively. There were two females that took Instagram pictures for like 20 minutes, and they even brought bathing suits.Let me tell you. The pool of water that the waterfall fills is not that deep. You cant swim in it. It was probably maybe like a few inches taller than my ankle. But if you want to take cool pictures in the water -- which is freezing by the way -- then bring some spare clothes.
