Nice little park, but mostly a bike trail. Pretty views along it, and it runs along the river. The biggest surprise was the actual park under the interstate. Parking lot there, although I never figured out how to get to it. Basketball, picnicking, Skateboarding, fishing and it looked like they might have been a concession stand down there in the middle of it all. Handicap accessible.
This is one of my favorite chill out spots right on the water. Theres something to do for everyone. Got kids? Theres a basketball court, blacktop, and playground. Nice trails. Beautiful views of DC (you can see the Washington Monument) and the National Harbor. Need shade? Stay under the bridge. Like to fish? Youre not alone. Lots of fishers out. Wanna relax? Bring your portable chair and just relax by the water. Also, they have actual restrooms.
Great place for fishing, basketball, skateboarding, walking along trails, and being by the water. Ample parking either outside the entrance or within the park - alongside the streets is acceptable. Great place for pictures.
It is such a nice and quiet place, the scenery and foliage is beautiful at this time of year! There is plenty of space for hundreds of people, families have picnics and parties here! There are restrooms and sinks, trash cans, a play ground for children & basketball hoops! There are plenty of places to fish
When searching how to get to the park type in parking. Otherwise it will take you into a neighborhood. Nice unique park. My girlfriend and I did a photo shoot there. Clean a bit loud but a creative space.
We love to take scenic walks along the waterfront and enjoy all the great restaurants & coffee shops in Old Town.
My favorite spot to workout. Ever since the gyms closed due to COVID, I had to figure out creative ways to still exercise. Now that gyms are open I wont be back. I enjoy the breeze, open space and beautiful sights. This park is a true gem!
My little piece of peace outside the city. This gem is tucked under the WW bridge. It’s is calming and relaxing. You can walk the trails, have a picnic, ride your bike, play basketball or just relax by the water. It’s always a cool breeze and plenty of open space to admire.
I love this place. I almost dont want this seen so it stays quiet and Alexandrias best kept secret recreational area.
Great place for fishing, walking, and cycling
One of my favorite places alone or with family
Great place to include in your next Urban hike!
Beautiful multiuse park. Area under the bridge is blacktop surface for basketball and other hard surface activities. The old lighthouse and original DC boundary marker is on the southeast point of the park. A portion of the Mount Vernon trail passes through the park. Plenty of nice views of the Potomac and at least one natural trail.
Wonderful park with lots of good parking. Bike paths and walking paths. Multiple playgrounds for children. Piers with picnic tables. Plenty of views of DC, national harbor, the Potomac and flights going to DCA. Fishing opportunities also.
Awesome evening adventure . Best seen at twilight, also great exercise walking from Va side to National harbor & back.
Very nice place to enjoy yourself and the outdoors. Its a great place to walk, stroll, jog, bike, scooter or anything else you like to do. You can walk with your dog, friend, significant other, parents and children. Its very scenic!!! There are places to sit and relax as well as people watch or just enjoy the scenery. It will EASILY put you in a peaceful, relaxing mood. You can see the Nations Capital in the distance. Old Town, Alexandria is also close by.
One of the most beautiful places to workout in the DMV. The park closes at 10p. Please note, the restrooms are in the facility under the bridge and since covid theyve been closed as of 5p.
A sweet trail great for an afternoon walk on the waterfront. The trail connects with the mount vernon trail and connects with a trail that goes all along the potomac in alexandria.
We either ride our bikes over from the National Harbor or picnic here several times a summer. Safe, family friendly. Accessible
Great park with easy access to bike trail.
Great place to workout or just hang out
Really beautiful and great atmosphere. The parking isnt the greatest, its always packed and you may have to park along the street all the way at the end of the road.
A little history, a little scenery, a little walk, some basketball courts. Good spot.
The restrooms are now open at Jones Point Park and as usual the park is very well maintained
Great spot for having a quick munch or walk on my lunch break, or anytime really.
Good spot walk and run with no ran under bridge
Nice location and it seems to have a great breeze and wide open spaces
Enjoy the wonderful blend of well-planned natural and functional beauty. Long walks over the bridge present just enough of a challenge with the inclines. Terrific mix of people and history where DC, VA and MD meet.
Covered from the rain, a great open place to teach kids to bike.
Nice place, a lot of poeple are fishing around, shade under the bridge, has some monuments.
Nice park and walking trail along the Potomac
Such a nice place to walk, picnic, fish, play basketball. Beautiful views!
Definitely a gem for the locals. Highly recommend
Nice spot for fishing, run and family time
Cool park with many amenities. Most of the park is under the interstate bridge.Located in Alexandria, VA between Old Town and Huntington. The Mt Vernon Trail cuts through the park.
Great place to kayak!
Awesome little park right underneath the Woodrow Wilson bridge in Old Town Alexandria. Very clean and nice. Theres a cute lighthouse trail and the park connects to the Mount Vernon biking trail (which is an awesome bike path). There are really nice bathrooms, good parking, and an awesome playground. There were lots of dogs and runners when I went. The historical markers and informative signs were really neat. The history of the area is so cool. Will definitely come back, probably with a bike next time!
Very informative. Take a moment to reflect on the ground you stand on when traveling here.
A great spot to walk the dog go for a run, fish, bike, or have a great water view of MD and VA.
Tons of courts and nice little nature walk to South DC boundary stone
Another great example of how the National Park Service maintains our countrys history. This is a great park with trails, hoops and gardens. On the Southern edge is the historic South corner of DC and the Jones Point Lighthouse.
Semi-secluded, clean, spacious, semi-sheltered.
Clean. Nature preserved. Beautiful and quiet. Ample space for pedestrians and bikers. Great place for a picnic.
Nice place
Easy walking area; good biking trail; touches three jurisdictions; well maintained
It was great! First time on the bridge this morning and got in almost 6 miles!! LETS GET IT!! #healthiswealth
Very open and many trails from one spot plus good spot on water and FREE
A beautiful place to walk and explore. A historically significant place to visit and lean how DC was founded!
Nice place to sit and think relaxing spot or do some exercise..
I enjoyed the location. I went here for a photoshoot and I will come back for a date night with my bride
So nice place, you can come very close to the river
Plenty of space for everyone.
Excellent place for a leisurely walk or a goo jog for exercise. Beautiful views along the Potomac River.
Really fun park. Bike. Trails will lead you under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. There are bathrooms available. There is blacktop all underneath the bridge, giving you space to ride bikes or scoot without worry of cars. There is a small playground good for kids under 8. Theres is a large field for play. There is an old cottage to visit along with plaques teaching about the area during the world wars. Makes for a fun afternoon
Beautiful views. Came to fish and caught some catfish. Views of DC and Baltimore.
Very historically interesting, nice walking trails, would be nice if lighthouse was open to the public.
Pros:Wonderful Hotel, the room wasSpacious RoomClean Rooms.Extra touchesFluffy robesLarge showers.Awesome Staff, very helpful, from the cleaning staff to the valet parking staff.Pet friendly hotel.Pets can attend some eventsCons:Have to pay for parking
Great place to take a stroll and learn about history.
This was a very interesting park. The park has had numerous uses over time. I thought that the interpretive signs were great. I also enjoyed the walking trails and the Lighthouse.
Excellent, safe, fenced-in playgrounds! Swings, slides, teeter totters, handicapped accessible. This park is quieter than other Old Town Alexandria parks. The playground can get hot as there is no shade, but one can go for a walk in the trees or picnic under the Woodrow Wilson bridge, which is nicer than it sounds! ;)
My kids loved it, and so did I. Dont come here if youre afraid of covid. Lots of people living their lives without physical distancing and mask wearing.
It was really relaxing and peaceful and the view was absolutely gorgeous.
This is one of my go to spots for outdoor relaxation. Nothing like a nice outdoor lunch break down here. On a hot summer day you can catch shade under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Where there is a basketball court, clean bathrooms with security near. You can skate, picnic, put your canoe in the water, jog or jump on the long GW bike trail. If you follow the path towards Old Town. You will find benches on a dock to take in the lovely scenery. Its only about a 1 to 1.5 mile walk to the center of Old Towne. Definitely one of the best if not best parks in the area!
I havent been to the park since the new Wilson Bridge was built. It is clean, trails wide (many are cement ADA accessible), and for the first time I left the bike trail to visit the lighthouse. The first cornerstone marking the Federal city (DC) is there; also there are some stone monuments marking state lines. I never knew that part of Jones Point was in Maryland (if you know the area youll appreciate how weird that is). Numerous historical signs explain the area. Very informative short walk.
Safe fun. Great for kids and family. Biking / Cycling
Great intersection of multiple activities, well maintained oasis in the midst of thr city. L,
Excellent park. Especially for fishing. But parking, its in Old Town Alexandria, what else needs to be said about the horrific parking situation in Old Towne.
The coolest walk across VA, DC and MD with great views.
Nice environment by the sea. The park is good.
Great place to ride a bike, skate or fish always shaded
Picturesque beautiful and very film friendly. Great park under the bridge. Could use more plants and trees but an overall great use of space.
Small but has great views and is really nice.
Great trails and view of the Potomac.
Good place to spend time with family. Right under the I495 bridge so plenty of shade. Restrooms were clean and overall the place is well maintained except some of the lawn is not in the best shape.
Good place to park to walk along the Potomac River
1st time there! Very nice small National Park, with historical markers, lots of walking paths & green space under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge! Who knew?? There is a walking path on the other side of the bridge from the park that will lead you to Maryland!
Because you will give us what we need
There is a constant cool breeze that saves you from the heat under the bridge. There is a basketball court, and playground for the kiddies, and open space for joggers and bikers to go in the trails. Also, there is benches for you to sit and watch the boats and waves.
Good Park best view of the DMV under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge nighttime is the best.
Great park with lots of history
Nice area to kick back and picnic and look at the river.
Great use of space under the bridge, very nice !!
Kid friendly. Dog friendly. Historically significant area. River views. Trails. Access to Woodrow Wilson bridge trail over Potomac River too. Fishing from pier. Surveying markers of DC/VA/MD property lines. Old lighthouse. Playground. Good parking. Can be breezy with wet ground on trails.
Great place ..
Great place and people
Best park ever!! Best view on the bridge.
Very nice place first I love it what I saw
Nice place for walking and exercising.
A nice spot with shade, fhishing harbor and surrounded by nature.
Fantastic park for a family outing. Great history, great walking trails and bike paths, great parking, tot-lots for the kids.
Its good place for picnic.
Fantastic view of the Potomac River and the Woodrow Wilson I495 bridge
Our favorite park to just hang out.
Very Nice place to go and relax or fish
Great little hideaway by the river. Playground, open areas to run and lots of cool history.
Good area to relax and enjoy the outdoors
Great spot for group workouts and walking the riverside
A huge spacious park, well kept and well secured. Great for taking the children and the dogs out for a walk, jog or play.
