I attended this school and rec and it was great

I attended Charles Barrett Elementary School from 1966 to 1971, first grade through the first half of sixth grade. I have fond memories of my school days, including 2 years in the older Annex building, which was demolished in 1970(?).Gym class was on the auditorium stage because there was no gymnasium and railroad tracks used to run behind the school. My worst memory were the Civil Service Air Raid siren practices once a month - what a horribly frightening sound as a child.My family moved in 1971 where I finished elementary school in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.
