Love the park! Its a great park to walk around on a cool night.
I love taking my dog to this park because its so big and he has plenty of room to run.
This is the best place to go play disc golf. I love the park with the beautiful trees. Best time to play is in the mornings to avoid the crowds. The players are all friendly too!
Shady park near Central New Mexico Community College, Presbyterian Hospital, University of New Mexico and Isotopes baseball stadium. I only go there when I need to do incline running/training.As with anything, please be aware of your surroundings at all times. Its a very beautiful park however you do see homeless/transient population there.
I love the park! Its great for practicing your frisbee golf skills. You can play the course in many different ways. The park is also well maintained and is shaded. Its very nice!
I love playing disc golf at the park. The densely wooded area makes it great for shade while playing, but unfortunately they do obstruct fight paths of the discs. The reason why I’m rating it 4 stars instead of 5, is because of how trashed the park has been lately with broken beer bottles around the play ground and beer cans scattered throughout the park, as well as some residentially challenged camping spots. When those unsanitary and unsightly things are cleaned up, the park is easily perfect.
Nice park to hang out during a lazy sunshiny day. Lots of trees and rolling grass benches and tables. Equiped with a frisbee golf course. Great park!
Great park with lots of shady, mature, trees. The grass is well maintained and there is a disk golf course. I just visited for a walk around the park and neighborhood, with my dog.(Delta).
Great place to walk the dog. Grounds were nice and neatly trimmed. Beautiful trees.
Great disc golf course! Lots of people and the course crosses a lot. Really enjoyed it. Good for AM or pro.
Solid (but poorly marked) frisbee golf course. 2 tee boxes pretty basket leads to occasional waits for other groups. Main gripe is lots of people lounging under trees between holes with lots of potential for getting hit by a poor throw.
Great place to walk. It is 0.7 mile if you walk the whole park. You have to keep an eye out, sometimes theres strange people around but there is always people around playing fresbies. Its not scary at all. There are picnic tables and great spots to put out your blanket and sit on the grass. Folks walk their dogs, usually on a leash. There are bag stations in case you forget to bring yours and have to clean after your pet.
Great big & clean park! Lots of trees keep it nice and shady, very green in bloom seasons. One of the best parks in town with lots more greenery than most. Both sun down and sun up I have felt safe running into no problems with the homeless. Recently I have not been seeing much of the homeless, but when they are there they do not approach me, speak to me, or make me feel unsafe. Park has big grassy rolling hills making it perfect for winter sledding. Park is huge, the trees and hills make it appear never ending and when I walk my dogs there I will sometimes forget Im in a city at all! Witch is a major major pro considering this is boring ol Albuquerque. I get the sense of being in another world at this park when Im tucked down in the little valleys and its probably the only place Im able to catch a little a break from the 505 without having to leave town completely. All in all this is my current go to for walking my k9s and kicking back in the outdoors on my down time. 5 stars. No complaints yet.
Great family friendly environment. Lots of grass and area, making it easy to practice social distancing.
Beautiful, green park with soft grass, huge trees and rolling hills. Clean and family friendly, despite the reviews. I bring my kids and have never had a negative experience.
Nice and warm but city needs to clean picknick table other than that its cool thanks
Great place to jog up the hills very good for cardio
Disc golf course 10/10Local hangout near UNM. Popular for slackliners, morning walkers, well behaved off leash dogs, disc golf, and local hippies
Park is fine, plastic benches get hot, disc golf course is why I came out and I wasnt a fan. 18 tees, 9 baskets. Means that people are throwing at the same basket from different angles and it can get crazy if its busy.
One of my favorite parks for exercise, walking, lounging in grass, lots of shade. The playground could use an update or some shade but its still an AWESOME park. :]
Clean. And not to. Many creepy people. The parking could be better the park is to big for how many ppl it can hold
This is a really fun place to play disc golf. Lots of nice big trees and rolling hills.
Beautiful park! I loved how green it was and how big it is! Perfect to take my pup to so he can get some exercise!
This park was great! Lots of shade. Not too big. Playground area was nice. Glad I came out.
Beautiful park, gentle slopes and steeper swales, many cozy spots to picnic and bring pets to exercise. There was even a leash cat relaxing with her hoomans.
It a good frisbee golf course the only downside is that a lot of homeless people are there q
Nice big park! It also has a ton of trees, which are good for shade and cooling it down! And in New Mexico parks usually get forgotten or run down but this one seems to keep up with its appearance .
The disc golf course at Roosevelt is great! Its a clean park with big shady trees. Theres a working water fountain and a playset for kids. Loved it.
Nice Park Very Big Space for Activeities.
Great little park in the middle of town. Green grass and picnic tables in decent shape. Park was clean and well maintained for the state being closed.
Nice park with a play area and disc golf course
Amazing park with frisbee golf lots of fun for the kids nice little playground area but tons of space to run
Great shaded park with frisbee/disc golf. The park is huge so you never have to worry about being next to people if youre looking for quiet.
Doesnt feel crowded at all. Really dig the rolling hills in the park. When youre in the middle of it you dont feel like youre in a city
This Is a really big and nice park to go walk around. Theres a lot of random activities going on. There is frisbee golf there, and when I went people were doing slack line. Its weird but entertaining. Theres a lot of homeless people around the park but mostly sleeping, theres also a lot of people just in there cars sitting there.
Disc golf is awesome. Energy channeled! Whoo to the hoo!
Its always been a beautiful park
Love this park! Played a fun and challenging game of disc golf amongst the cool trees and rolling grassy slopes!
Its just a nice place to chill.
Beautiful park, lush green grass and huge beautiful trees and rolling hills. Never been to a park in Albuquerque with such large hills! Great to run on the path for a cardio workout. Nice views of the Milne Stadium.Give it four stars, like I do for any park in Albuquerque, that has bums. There has always been more than one bum in that park and it always makes me a little uncomfortable. Also, parking is weird because there is no parking lot, you have to park along the road.
Its So Beautiful here at this Park, its green and has treens and rolling hills and its very Peaceful.
Nice park with a play ground and disc golf
I love the tree there. They look so mystical and therapeutic.
4 stars is a lot for a park. But this one is worth it primarily because of the beautiful trees. Did anyone see tree of Life? If so lie down near the 4th hole.
Wonderful park built during The New Deal era on a landfill. Used mostly now as a Frisbee Golf course.
Beautiful atmosphere. Eclectic crowds. Shady.
Not the family friendly park but definitely fun to go as an adult walking his dog
Beautiful trees. Lots of space, hills and a neat playground.
Great place to walk, lots of hills
Like the park...its calming an peaceful
So pretty great place to do anything picnic, run, walk the dogs, just endless.
Quiet n everyone who goes there minds their own business
I loved it. Everything was green and there was a ton of trees and open space
Its a nice place for family
Park was okay, just need more parking areas...
Great place for family get togethers or to just hang out by yourself or significant other.
Just a nicely kept park where people can be out, relaxed and have fun
Relaxing... Time!... Cool breeze.... Clean well kept.. Enjoy folks!
Its Beautiful when all the junkies are gone!!
Grass was yellowish or turning yellow for the most part, can see the dirt.
Its beautiful and very shady from the trees that are around, good for events.
Friendly good prices paid
Nice large park hidden in Albuquerque. Id like to stop by there and use the frisbee golf course, which is very large and has some long great holes to play. It has a lot of big hills in there which makes it fun to throw over the big valleys. Nice to have an option to access the big grassy area in the middle of the City. Be aware there are always some homeless people around it or in the bushes somewhere.
UPDATE: There is no longer a tent and 95% of all random objects and trash where the tent used to be and in the dirt field behind it have been cleaned up! Thanks for keeping Albuquerque clean!Nice place to do some laps. They have a Frisbee course which many people plan on and a small playground, no swings though. However, off to the side near the playground, theres a area where there use to be a tent set up. The tent is gone but there is still alot of stuff that someone on the streets clearly gathered up. In the ditch next to this area, there is also another spot near the fence of the football seating where theres another pile of random objects and needles scattered on the ground. Aside from that, it is a nice safe place to do some laps during the day.
A lot of homeless people couldnt walk comfortable people playing too many frisbee games
Nice big park and my Puppy loved it. No fenced in dog area but it was still a really nice park!
It looks like its straight out of a childrens storybook with the rolling hills that continue into the distance and new vistas to be discovered around each corner. When I first moved to Albuquerque from Washington, DC in 2005, this park was a much needed spot of green as I adjusted to the desert. So grateful to President Roosevelt for creating the WPA program and to the laborers who spent so much love and effort creating this masterpiece in a town with plenty of parks but nothing quite like this!
Great place for evenings walks
Is 1 of the Best Parks in Albuquerque with Huge Trees & Rolling Hills and Picnic Tables also Play Frisbee Golf There. Great Place To Have FUN!!
Nice clean park.
Its a great place to get my steps in i enjoy the diverse population and scenery
Park is great. They have frisbee golf here and a nice walking path. Sometimes there are a collection of homeless that hang around but theyre harmless. I have never been here at night.
Good considering theres 2 within range that I know of. Dead split for rights an leftys no real advantages here. U can see whos really better
Some times its not the park but the person u are with that makes a difference
Great playground, walking path, and disc golf.
I enjoyed this park and seen only a few people sleeping in the park. Not enough to ruin my time. We just threw our discs over them and hoped not to hit them. Its become more and more common to see homeless in larger cities. Not the parks fault. Its still a beautiful place! Just seen one bag of trash as we left, which I easily placed in one of their many trash cans around the area.
Great disc golf course, lots of variation, tons of traffic but very friendly people, overall pretty clean and well maintained. Only issue is not enough holes, would be nice if there were 18 individual holes/nets. Theres still a lot of park to take advantage of so they could easily add another 9 holes. However its still a beautiful course regardless
Roosevelt Park is a lovely, green escape from the city life. People love to do picnics here, walk around on their lunch break, play disc golf, run around the paved perimeter, and walk their dogs. It really is a pretty park with the huge hills and all the trees. Its a shame that the city doesnt clean around the table areas :/ The tables are always really sticky and trash/food everywhere. There is a play area for children. Dogs can be off leash early mornings during certain hours-check the signs or city website for specifics.I wouldnt reccomend coming to this park after dark though.
Good place just watch your kids
Beautiful open space in the middle of the city. A little city escape
Nice big park lots of space picnick tables lots of grass. Very clean. And nicely manicured
Its nice just the parking sucks and its too crowded...
Has a big course, but a little confusing if youve never been there. Too many people to try have a good game.
Beautiful, clean park. Great for outdoor activities.
Such a nice place to take a walk.
Great grass peaceful and family friendly
The park was over all pretty clean. The atmosphere was great. Not too many people but a few walking their dogs. Dogs had no leashes and one rushed me and my chihuahuas. The owner was not to rushed to retrieve her big dog. No one was hurt but my little pups were shaken up. Beautiful park
Great place to play some disc golf early in the morning
Best park in town. Its very big. Tons of grass massive trees, lots of shade. The only bad thing is theres no parking.. yes most parks dont have parking but some do. And this one is big, it would be cool if they paved a really small section of the park connected to the road (maybe 20 spaces) and create a parking area for people that want to drive here and enjoy it that arent within walking distance.
Park was clean and the kids loved it
